@@bobbykhanna106 it takes a level of shamelessness to spend such a huge amount of money for such an ugly handbag. I would rather donate my money to the less fortunate.
No thanx my $99 Kate Spade outlet bag is going on four years..it has one lose thread..after years and wear and tear..has seen highs and lows in my life ..and STILL gets compliments from all the girls! Thank you my lovely bag for always being by my side!!!
With that much amout of money i can feed soo many homeless people and stray animals... that will give me more happiness than carrying one of those bags.
My grandma and sister were given birken bags from their relatives. They are completely loaded with cash, which my side of the family didn’t seem to get so lucky
I used to see these all over NYC in the early 2000’s…and thought they were pretty ugly bags. The funny thing is that their namesake Jane Birkin is really a bohemian hippie at heart and would never want an exclusive bag that you have to be waitlisted and judged in order to obtain. I guarantee you, if most Birkin owners saw this bag in a radon store or out in the wild with no context, they wouldn’t want one. It’s all just clout!
These days, at least here in New York State since plastic bags have been outlawed at Retail stores a few years ago (pollution problem)...I have a collection of never-used-ones-before...wonder if I can market them as rare foldaway luxury bags now?
You can order high quality leather and have Mean Gene leather in Hubert NC create a custom bag for a fraction of the cost. If you want a matching custom pistol holster he can do that too.
It's not only about rarity. Hermès had a lot of issues with resellers, especially in France. As in, people would buy a whole bunch of bags in France where they're cheaper and then take them somewhere else and sell them for a lot more. So they doubled down on who could buy them to make sure they weren't being re-sold. They also have a one bag per family per year policy to make sure ppl don't do this.
Jane Birkin, carried wicker bags on the airplane, but could never fit all that she needed. Sitting next to hermés, that flight they both designed a bag for flighting and travel. Then it was launched, everyone wanted one, but it was only for the rush, when Paris Hilton was seen with one, the bags fame blew up in popularity. Now it's worth min$500k
Bruh , I few days ago I subscribed this channel when this had like 50k or something but now within few days you have 250K subs nearly!! Like your growth is crazy I guess your next video will be on about your channel backstory and its growth
honestly while I love the snazzy look of some of the mens designer brand clothing, the most I’d be willing to spend for just a good pair of shoes or single article of clothing would be like $200. and I would EXCLUSIVELY use it for like Suit and tie events
Hermès bags are great quality, but the Birkin is played out af. And honestly they have such robust accessories, fragrance, and home lines, but people ignore all that awesome stuff and cause drama over the same 3 or 4 bag models. Hermès is a great brand with real savoir faire, but resellers and people who don’t know how to be patients and enjoy things are busy ruining it IMO.
Malaysia ex prime minister wife has a lot of this bag. During a police raid in 2014, they found a lot of designer bag that they buy using Malaysian money.
I can confidently say this as part of the women community that we certainly love bags, even though like 2 pockets on your pants is enough to hold your phone and money
My bottoms dont even have pockets. And if they do it so tiny. Same for my dresses, no pockets. Only my cargo pants has a pocket suitable to hold my phone and my phone is tiny.
that's literally how Ferrari operated with their most exclusive hypercars. And you can't sell them for an X amount of time, otherwise they'll cut ties with you or even sue you
It wasn’t made by Jane Birkin. She was the muse for the bag. She was carrying a shitty beach bag and was sat beside Jean Louis Dumas, head designer of Hermes at the time. He asked her why the beach bag and she told him she couldn’t find a carry on that was large enough and not cumbersome. Voila the Birkin was born. It does make an excellent travel bag, especially the larger Birkin, but, it’s a very heavy bag, so I definitely don’t think it’s not cumbersome. Also, only the Himalayan Birkin is that expensive. They are absolutely ridiculously priced. People act really stupid over them. Just buy preloved and get what you want. Instead of sucking up to the vultures who sell them at Hermes.
Designer stuff is SUCH a waste of money. I’m all for paying a solid premium for quality made stuff, but these high end stores got shirts for like $200 dollars… SHIRTS!!!!! 🙂
This bag price is ridiculous. I saved up to buy a new upright piano for $8000. How much work, expertise and materials it takes to build a piano vs this bag is ridiculous to think about.
It’s a free country and a free market (mostly, on both accounts), and but the purchasing of something so expensive as nothing more than a status symbol is absolutely ludicrous to me. I couldn’t imagine spending tens-hundreds of thousands of dollars on bragging rights.
If we could just take a moment to consider how much less homelessness and corruption would exist if philanthropy was valued over rampant consumerism by billionaires.

I have always found this funny, the whole idea that Birkins are rare, yet almost every celebrity owns at least one.
The Birkin bag is not rare but the LIMITED editions are.
