Happy Thanksgiving, everyone! I'm pumped to share our new tacoma buildout with you all. We will be putting this thing to use a lot.... but don't worry, we still have the Subaru too for other adventures. What else do I need to add?
That is an awesome build. Pretty much includes all the flexibility you need, love the internal access to the tent and how you open it up to provide head room.
Aeropress makes a new cap now so you don't have to do the inverted method, pretty clutch! Sweet build our, gives me some ideas for my truck next season.
Setup is so good man, love everything about it. Curious about that mini heater yo have, I know most heaters will draw significant power. Curious your experience once you get some use of it!
Thank you! We’ve used the heater a bit this week camping in Utah and it’s been great. It does eat a ton of energy, so we just turn it on for a few minutes to take the edge off if we get cold. I’ll share more as I use it more! Thanks for watching👍
Hey Chase, Happy Turkey Day! Really digging your nifty setup. Just hooked up my own rig with an Espar 2kw gas heater B2L AS3, tapped the fuel line right into the fuel tank of my Honda Element using the fuel pump. Totally transformed the experience. Take it easy - Ruben
I have the same truck and did a similar build out in the rear. 6 ft bed is clutch - wish I had a GFC though! Sleeping on the platform. How are you liking the bilstein 5100s and icon rxt leaf pack? I’m in need for a suspension upgrade as well.
Thank you! It is a a roll of rubber that I just cut to length/width then attached using a adhesive spray. Link is in the video description for the linner👍
Have you tried out that mini space heater in GFC? Looking at a similar idea for my Goalzero & a small 200-500W version like that but not sure how effective that is in a bed camper.
@@ChaseChristopher1 You should try Rok Block tailgate seal. I have that on my 02 tundra as well as stuffing pool noodles cut in half like a U shape into the gap under the truck rails. I have little to no dust.

this is the coolest and most efficient Tacoma Camper I have ever seen. So thought out, good job!

Thanks! Yeah, it’s a slick system, I’m pumped to put it to use👍

Oh really?! I’ll have to look for it! Glad it helped👍
Great build! I love your videos. You seem like a relaxed, intelligent sweet guy.
Cheers to you both!
I appreciate it! Cheers!
Been toying with ideas for my GFC and the half drawer/half slide out floor may be it. The bike storage is pretty slick! Thanks for the video!
Absolutely, glad it was helpful!
Great build! I like the cleanliness and organization. Well done
Thank you!
Thought of you when I had to jump my 2010 Outback last week with my NOCO jump kit. Finally catching up with your videos, happy thanksgiving!
Those things are life savers!

Great video! can you share the heater found at 1:30?
The drawer system looks great!!! What did you use for the black diamond plate drawer liner on left drawer? Any feedback is greatly appreciated.

@@ChaseChristopher1 Thanks! Much appreciated
Digging the setup! Did you get rid of the outback?
Thanks! Nope, we still have it and use it often depending on the trip👍

We haven’t used it yet on a super cold night, but we will very soon. I’m hopeful!
Are you still using the Subaru Outback? Or did you sell it?
Yep, we still have and use it!
Excellent video. Quick question what time of cap and camper is that?
Thanks! It is a go fast camper
Random question but how tall are you? Just wondering because of the cab size?
Happy Thanksgiving, sweet build, great work! Who makes that jacket?
Thanks! It’s made by Kuhl👍
Happy holidays!! Do you still have the Subaru?
Yes we do👍
Sweet setup! What size bed is your truck?
Thanks! It’s the long bed (6 ft)
How do you keep your tailgate dust free?
I haven’t figured that out yet….

Awesome set up man! I'm curious what roof top tent do you use?
