Dear AdamSara, I have just been inspired to take up Origami having being given a 'Moravian Paper Star' made by a work colleague. I had to know how to make it and have since made more than 20! I now have the 'bug' and have been hunting out origami sites. Love your site, its very clear and easy to follow. I have just completed two 'Star Helena's', one from a 22cm square, and the secon

and the second 11cm! Both came out well. I used Christmas paper cut to size. Look forward to making more complex models under your tuition! You say you were late taking up Origami in your 20's, well how about me at 60!! Never to late to learn new skills and it helps keep the arthritis at bay!! Sorry for the 'split message, but I pressed send by mistake!!

You don't know how much I thank you about this. It's perfectly clear, you explain stuff like how to know the size of a paper starting with the circumference, and I don't know how you made the connection between the different takes I supose you had to do to draw the lines but it looks like magic xD

Hi! I'm 5th grade student. I'm from Korea and we, Korean people like orgami and are good at orgami. But you're even better than me!! I was called 'orgami master' when I was in US. I mean, even better. (Plus, I'm not boasting;; haha)
And this orgami that you made is one of my orgamis that my friends told me:"It's awesome!!"
Thank you for making these :)

Im Video gebe ich an, dass man für eine normale DVD ein Quadrat mit einer Seitenlänge von 32cm verwenden sollte. Mini-DVDs haben einen Durchmesser von etwa 8cm, also reicht auch ein kleineres Quadrat.

I'm really glad to hear that you found my instructions to be clear and helpful. It's totally normal to struggle here and there on the first try - I do, too. :) The second fold is often much smoother, because by then you know where you're heading.

Anyhow I guess I'll ask the question here as well, since not getting an answer from your page email. Just wanted to know what the finished dimensions of the octagon are, for the full size cd, with the 12.75in paper. I am unable to cut or print anything in that size, but that is the size I require. Hoping to buy some paper and already cut into octagons the right size.

The pop band, Mecano, published in the year 1991, a CD-single entitled "Una rosa es una rosa." (A Rose Is A Rose). In one of the special editions of the single was a cardboard box that was shaped like a rose and person could take the CD (disc) he or she had to open petals of the rose (the petals was the CD case) and at its inside was compact disc. Might you make a CD-case that it will be a rose flower origami and when I open it inside of it is the CD???.
