The band is from Ukraine. The name of vocalist is Tatiana Shmayluk (Tati, Tanya)
I saw Jinjer play live at a festival. It started raining during the set and Tati says to the audience "are you made of sugar, or are you made of metal"!? The crowd screams "METAL" and the skys open up with a downpour. They played in the rain until the lightning and the organizers had to delay the show. Tati was obviously bothered by the delay in rocking out and not 2 minutes later the rain stops. Tatiana is a Goddess of the Rains. The band is metal AF, but this track's half Jazz. The great thing about metal is there's more sub-genres of metal than all other genres of music put together. There are so many mind blowing artists out there, you're in for an amazing ride. I have 2 suggestions. If you want to blow up your viewer and subscriber count also check out Nightwish - Ghost Love Score , it's "symphonic metal", you like Opera right? Algorithm LOVES that song. And if you want to see an amazing mix of like 6 genres that'll make you shake your booty check out Kontrust - Sock 'N' Doll , amazing band and such a fun sound.

Yeah, but metal has the worst fans, and I'm speaking as a metal fan. They will get you if you call the wrong band metal.

@@Pecan3.14 yeah and it's usually the metal fans who listen old school heavy metal because they hate anything new and will yell and scream if you disagree with them. There's a reaction channel called Bowzers Reaction Pit. And the guy that runs it is just absolutely one of those toxic people in the metal community. He hates everything that gets requested. He never gives any new metal or metalcore a chance. At this point I don't even know why he does reactions. You know how you can just tell what someone's personality is like without ever speaking to them? To me he just 100% comes across as an arrogant, opinionated and bias guy who can't be pleased with anything new. He's just in a constant state of disappointment and rudeness. So there is definitely a lot of toxic people in the metal community. Go see for yourself on his channel. You'll see what I'm talking about 👌
Genres are difficult. With metal considered a form of rock, rock itself is probably a more diverse category. Ginger's bass player does not really consider his band "metal". As I heard in an interview recently. He stressed their diverse tastes and influences (including the stylistic elements from jazz that you hear in this tune).

As a singer yourself, I think you would appreciate this One take video. The Official Live and Music videos are amazing too, but this new one would let you focus on what her technique is.

Fun Fact: This song is from an album before the drummer here joined the band. Tatiana, Eugene and Roman liked Vlad's sound on it so they re-recorded a video for it to showcase his drumming. Now it's a reaction channel staple to introduce the band and everyone is blown away by Tati's vocals!

*Their name, the band is called Jinjer, and the genre if you so will too. Her name is Tatiana or short Tati, Roman on the guitar, Eugene on the bass and Vlad on the drums. They are from Ukraine, the three of them from the now occupied parts in the east, not entirely sure where exactly Vlad originally came from, but they had to flee their home town when the war came and basically where on tour since then. After Vlad joined they did a re-recording of Pisces (this exact video), which blew up and went viral on reaction channels, which helped greatly in regards to exposure, practically blowing up since then, and are now quite popular within the metal scene.

Watching reaction videos to the song Pisces from Jinjer is a serious hobby of mine. I love metal and especially this song and then I discovered the world reactions to this song. :D
Jinjer are very engaging because not only is Tati a remarkable vocalist but a stellar live performer and front person - AND the entire band are masterful musicians and play so tightly, as a unit. And all of their songs are interesting in just about every way.
Her vocal capabilities are perfect for the theme of this song as it expresses the duality of character in someone who is a Pisces. Tatiana is a world class vocalist fronting a likewise skilled band.
I love watching Pisces reactions, but the wonder and joy at realized possibility that erupts in women's eyes when they see this the first time is really something to see.

Great reaction. Btw Jinjer is the name of the band Tatiana is the vocalist. There are many women in metal that can growl but Queen Tati has style. She pulls out her big bag of tricks for her performance in “Teacher Teacher” official video. I keep deleting the phrase “one of my favorites” cuz I haven’t heard a bad song from this band. Loved the reaction, welcome to the world of Jinjer. There is a lot to watch, loads of live videos. My favorites are from a concert in Kiev, the songs are called On the Top and Pit of Conciousness. It would probably be wise not to start with the 2nd of those. Perennial live at Wacken Open Air is normally the next step on people's Jinjer journey though. Pick whichever, I am sure it will be great.

I had thought myself immune to most modern music and settled down into a nice, sedate discography, mostly from the 70's era. Jinjer (and especially Tati) irrevocably changed all that.

One thing I really like about this song (besides the obvious), is that it has some interesting metrics like 7/4, 3/4 and 6/8 but they transition from one to the other super smoothly. This band knows their shit when it comes to songwriting.

Reactions to this video went crazy a while ago, lots of views, lots of shocked people and a whole lot of exposure for the band. You didn't look crazy at all, I was yelling in my house all by myself and I don't even have a cat! I replayed that over and over looking for something to indicate electronic enhancement, but found none. It is layered though, that is in the description on their video. There's a live concert video of Jinger doing "Teacher Teacher" that's very good and shows Tatiana's endurance because she is very physical during the song and holds her singing at a high level even though you would think she would be out of breath. I think she is very talented.

Agreed. It's a fine line between pausing and commenting too much or too little. This is a really good balance, and you can sense the respect. It's a bit late for this lol but the only improvement I could see would be slightly rewinding for many of the pauses, to emphasize your points with a repeat of the musical phrase. That's a nitpick though. This is an outstanding reaction!

Wow, I just found this video and I have to say I just love your energy. I am so happy you liked Jinjer and Tati, because they are amazing. Others in the comments already recomended Nightwish and their song Ghost Love Score from Wacken, which I fully support. Now that you have heard one of the best extreme vocalists you might want to check out another extreme vocalist. His name is Devin Townsend. A good example of his vocals is from his song 'Kingdom' live for EMGTv. It is a solo performance with his amazing guitar work/vocals to a backing track from his band. He was solo in this performance because the performance was basically a demonstration/advertisement for the 'pickups' on the guitar.
You can also hear his with the band itself, live, if you check out 'Deadhead (Live at the Royal Albert Hall)' tho it is more likely to be hit by the copyright censors so be very careful in your editing if you do that one.
If, on the other hand, you wish to hear a more operatic vocalist I would recommend Ronnie James Dio. He was iconic in the Metal genre for 4 decades until his death in 2010. As a good place to start, I would suggest the song 'Heaven and Hell' with the band Black Sabbath.
Fun reaction, and lots of respect for your knowledge of extreme vocals - subbed. Tatiana is amazing. I never liked growls from anyone, male or female until I heard her. I've seen Jinjer twice in concert and Tati is mesmerizing on stage as well. They guys are all masters of their respective instruments too. Somebody asked the band's manager and bassist Eugene what genre "umbrella" they are under - he answered "we don't like umbrellas, we prefer to get soaked" which is so appropriate. The other guys are Roman on guitar and Vlad on drums.
There are a lot of great videos from them, one that was just released today is Tatiana doing a one-take recording of their song Judgement & Punishment which is really good and takes a couple of segues into a whole other style of music. Another that shows how low Tatiana can take her growls is Pit Of Consciousness live in Kiev. Perennial at Wacken Open Air has some beautiful cleans too.
