Syntac needs a mod where you can craft Tracking Darts that do no damage when shot into a creature, but allow you to put them on the taming tracker without actually knocking them unconscious or starting the taming process, so he doesn't have to worry about derailing an episode while he indulges in his natural urges to get distracted by finding other high-level creatures on the way. 😄

I've been in that cave, there is DEFINITELY a drop there underwater, right under that giant statue. It's also a great place for Rare Mushrooms, tons of them in there.

There are R-Megatheriums in the "Sunken Garden" cave, but not many of them at a time. At least that's what I think that cave is called. Sometimes a Shimmer Unicorn in there too. There's also another cave where Aberration Direbears can go up to lvl 600, and they're tameable, unless it was fixed with a patch.
Thanks for the content Syntac! I think that the 'goal' should just be to have a good time. LoL If you get distracted by a high level creature, you get distracted; it's part of the joy in watching you play! :)
I know you guys have a long ways to go but if you finish this map before ascended i think you guys should make this a mini cluster with the mod map Taenia Stella. Its such a beatiful no flyer map thats like an inverted aberration. For bosses i think the following fit well: For megapithecus i think you guys should use cryolophasaurus or Acrocanthasaurus! For dragon i love the idea of using moose but as a back up the paleo parasaur! For the ocean i have a few ideas that mightvbe worth testing. - Xiphactanus (Xiph) could be an option with their speed and dps but jellies and shark swarms are still quick ways to die. You would also need a pack to make them as good as they can be. like evo did with his wolves. - archelon/basilo both are decently quick, okay in combat, quite tanky, and resistant to jellies and eels. The archelon also has a multi seat saddle potentially making for easy taming of big things or constant harpoon fire. - megs just some basic megs used roughly the same way as xiph could work just fine. - manta are my final idea and literally just zip your way through the constant threat of death. But this is the most stupid of them as well.
As soon as you mentioned the hide farm and talked about chainsawing the ovis…..I immediately thought of “Chainsaw the baby” from your Genesis series 🤣🤣🤣 I believe that was the Bloodstalker breeding episode.
As far as the crafting skill thing, I think that happens because you deactivate the potion while the bird is still on you. It's a mod with another mod. They probably aren't super compatible.

I’ve never heard of people fighting the Dragon with megalaceros, that tickles me so much. I haven’t tamed a deer since my first ever ark playthrough, when I spent AGES taming a doe because I needed a berry gatherer… only to find out it literally couldn’t do anything, even gather berries. I was so pissed I haven’t tamed one since.
In answer to syntac's question, when the netted creature shifts/ roars, it is because they are hitting the torpor running stage(least that's usually the case)
Man all these mods really make this game fun again. Going back to vanilla after watching these series is seriously depressing lol. Thanks for allowing me to still enjoy this 👍
A fully imprinted Megatherium is awesome for traversing Redwoods.. They are fast, big enough to protect you from certain critter attacks and you un-mount onto their backs, not the ground.. :)
I have done the boss fights up to alpha with the Chali on the island. They where mutated and I did have a good saddle blue print and rock throw did a heck of a lot of damage. The only time me and my tribe mates struggled was the alpha dragon, and that was only because of some of the Chalis getting stuck in the lava and dieing. Had to tank the dragon with the yuti while my tribe mates finished off with there chalis. But all and all the Chali army was fun and one of the best times i had fighting the 3 bosses on the Island.
I'm all for the vanilla strats against bosses, but I would like to see the boss battles with Paleo creatures. Evotyrannus, targos, dwarf allos, etc. So many options. Would be cool to see something out of the ordinary on an extraordinary map. Just my two cents.
I haven't played on this map, but I think i saw you find an abberation area earlier in the series. Could always farm the bio toxins from mushrooms there if they have the red cap ones.
The Dino tracker mod lets you see the wild Dinos that are in a radius around you, so you can check levels and such, so it would be super handy if you were into that

I always pronounced it "kal-ih-ko-ther-ee-um" (phonetically-speaking lol). Not sure if there is a "right" singular way to pronounce it. I've heard a couple main ways experts pronounce it. Maybe someone out there knows the answer haha.

I've never played this map, but there definitely was a drop in that cave. At 7:45 you can see there's an underwater tunnel that probably leads to it.

Syntac, the sea turtle from the Ark Additions mod is great for slaying jellyfish. Archelon is the turtles name I believe.
Chalicotherium is pronounced like calico, as in the fabric pattern/cat coloration. It is derived from the Greek word for copper/bronze.
it's funny that Evo already got a high-level Megaloceros pair, maybe they'd be useful if you do want to use them XD

since paleo is mostly just an alternate look to vanilla creature, it would not really change much.

Best stat we got was 50 food. Everything else was 30s.
