Unless it's less than 10 dollars - otherwise, you gotta make sure you get paid back..what other reason would you need to be giving him money? Gifts, that's different, but actual cash where he can go and spend it as he pleases...that's a little worrisome...unless it's for hospital bills and he's going to pay you back, nope, sorry. I'm already in debt w/ student loans, not about that life.
Mandy X'O-twod But does that mean the woman can still take her boyfriends money? Because many guys are expected to spend money in a relationship and end up losing when the relationship ends
My ex asked me for $200 cuz he was short on a some bills. He sent me screenshot of his bank account(which I didn't ask for) and a pic of the bill. I just went to the ATM and gave him $200. I don't get what's the big deal. He helps me when I need it so why not help him?
shekinah is speaking from her experience and tamera is speaking from hers. this shows how much we all walk different paths in life. i agree with both perspectives in a way.
i believe that tamera wasn't speaking on her experience. she was speaking on her friends(i think tia's) experience. Shekinah was talking about her own 1st person exprience
Honestly, Tamera is talking about a relationship where both are making millions. The guest host might be talking about everyday relationships whereby they don't make that much, and it's easy to feel and tell the difference in wages.
This is what I think Shekinah meant when she said I'm out here in the world".Where a man is in life plays apart in everything. Not sure if Tamera can relate.
C. M. I agreed with her. I'm saying, they can cheer you on and be happy that you're successful, BUT, on the inside they would rather be the bread winner because they wanna be the one to take care of bigger things, and provide more for the family. Yes money isn't EVERYTHING, but in reality they would love to be the ones to take care of everyone in their household then the other way around. It's an ego thing
by perpetuating stereotypes and sexist double standards based in one persons reality. Wow congrats to her and her narrow minded point of view. This is why no one wants black women smh always stuck in their ignorant ways.
Yes DeAndre Johnson because that's real life. Everyone can't be sitting there agreeing with each other like it's all peaches and cream. There are many men and women who agree with Shekinah's perspective.
*Shekinah done came in, and tore down the foundation!...Lmao!...She had everyone in the audience gasping, and Tamera almost swallowed her tongue!..She's too real!...I love it!*
shawna lewine idk what's 'real' about it. Everyone can just go and scream their opinion when it's based on nothing factual. It's more real to me to actually say something that makes sense
bsbgirl85 first of all, running one's mouth and being disrespectful and classless ain't "keeping it real", that just means you're rude and need a slap in the face by señor respect
Jay 2.0 it's not mentality...it's just nature. Those gender roles exist.... it's innate. men are providers Women are nurtures.....I think just need to relax about it......t's not a bad thing.
exactly!!!! and ppl tend to speak from personal experiences, which is most definitely fine, but they cant assume everything and everybody is the same .
Jareema Moore Hmm idk cause that "it's just naturally how men/women" act always get thrown around so easily without any extra thought or more information to back up the claim. Though I absolutely agree some things are natural for men and for women certain things I honestly believe alot of how men and women act/behave is a result of social and cultural practices in an their area. Like, what makes a man a man here won't always necessarily make him a man in another part of the world. So if this thing human nature it should be indefinite. This specific behavior should be able to found in the majority of men everywhere no matter the race, language, culture, social norms, country, religion, education, occupation and more. If not than its not necessarily natural its more of them being shaped by their environment than their human nature. Also what it means to provide for a family can be different depending on where the person is from. So what if a man providing for a family in another culture doesn't involve money or stereotypical male roles like in Western culture. Then it all could really be subjective. Theres so many factors that weigh in than just to just throw it under "its just natural" blanket. What do you all think?
I agree with Tamera. Shanika needs to have several seats generalizing all black men like that. She needs to raise her standards if she only dates men who want to use her for her tax refund.
You can not like Shekinah's voice, and energy etc. all you want to but she's not stupid. Her points were indeed very valid and true, they just werent the only truths. She was not wrong by any means. In fact she just embodied why they have such different hosts on the panel. She interestingly enough fits in perfectly. She's switching up their kumbaya dynamic. Even Jeannie agreed with her. Dont be bougie.
That thing she said about black men being more intimidated hit home for me (I dont generalize because I dont think its all) However, Id jst gotten a 2015 Kia Forte fresh off the lot in 2015. I went to see a friend (hes black) at a BBQ and his Uncle (In front of him and the uncle is also black) asked me about my new car and my career. I dont him Im in the military and Id jst gotten the car. His words were. "Young lady you better get you a white man cuz a black man isnt going to appreciate all that you have going for yourself" My ex boyfriend (black) used to throw it in my face about how I made more money than him. I dont think this is all black men, however, I do think men in general need to feel like they are contributing to the relationship.
I agree with Loni on this one, this is going to be a REAL good week 😂😂 This table has been all Rainbows and Unicorns for too long, it's bout time someone came to shake it up.
Kristine Anne I wish Tamera or Adrienne would, cuz this host was rude and spoke over them many times. Some men are lame af like that but not all men are like how Tamera was trying to say to her
Shekinah honestly kept it real and she's quite accurate! Most of the time if the woman is more successful, men tend to cheat with a woman who is below them financially... It's an ego thing!
@@ms.tinygiant Beyonce is not more successful than Jay Z, at least from a financial standpoint. Unfortunately he has the "leverage" in their relationship. He has access to the most of women he finds attractive (not only physically but attractive from a dating standpointl) unfortunately that isn't the case for her with the men she would find attractive from a dating standpoint).
Myronn Coleman I understand too but that wasn't the original point being made. Tia's wealth and star power supports the bulk of their lifestyle. Not saying Cory doesn't help nor that he doesn't work. Just stating the fact that Tia is the main bread winner. Again, nothing wrong with it and Cory supports his wife 1000% which was Tamera's main argument.
shakina I agree with her. my dad told me the same thing. men like to be to wanted and useful. it's their nature to provide for the family and at some point they ego going to take over cuz they not doing what they should be doing as a man.
That girl country as hell but she has a point. Men have such fragile senses of ego that they view material things as ways to show they are top dog. Tamera and, to an extent, Adrienne (whom I think was just trying to make Tamera feel less stup- I mean, alone) don't get it. Men, much like women do to each other, live for the approval of other men. A man being taken care of by a woman is a sign of bitchassedness among other men. So, even though he loves her and supports her, deep down, he resents he's not the bread winner. Sorry, girls!
I have to say I agree with Tamera. I understand what the cohost is saying, but is fair to generalize all men, i don't think so. I think what people forget is the we live in a world, where we believe that a man has to be the breadwinner and a women dare to surpass that is taking his pride and ego. And if a women is the breadwinner, then people are talking about how she is not allow her man to feel like a men. I think no who you are..you need to be proud of partner and support them in their dreams and goals. There are some men who do feel insecure that their women makes more than them, but that is not all men. The cohost is coming a bias opinon on her experience and how she grown up. Her view is not wrong, is just in tune with the current climate of society. There is always be a reason for men to a breadwinner because we live in PATRIARCHAL SOCIETY, where the man view is the only view that should be seen. If you support what the cohost said then that is what you believe in, but you have to be open that other have different opinons and not judge them or treat them differently for what they believe in. We are all humans and we raised with different morals, beliefs, and values. My mom makes more than my dad and they have been married for over 20 years and I have never once hear seen my dad pride or ego take hold of him and hate on my mom. But my dad has come to understand that the world he grown up in the 70s are different and therefore his view of society should change as well.
My aunt is married and when she started making more than her husband their relationship got REALLY tight. He felt emasculated and didn't want to keep asking for money and you could tell he felt some kind of way about her making more money but if you mad your wife is making more money than you DO BETTER.
h Bag Because when some men make more money than the woman he feels like he is in control. But some women won't be controlled no matter how much he make.
shekinah opinion is what my mum says. no matter how much a man loves you and if you are earning more than him. they will be happy for you. a little part of him will be feel some type of way and unhappy because they willl always believe they are suppose to be the man of the house and take care of you..that doesnt mean its not a reflection of you not it's a reflection of them and if they truly loves you they wont get that part to get the better of them but some men let that part run in and sort of project on you.. im not saying all of them will not be happy if their women is earning more than them but i'm saying a part of them will feel like a kick on the ego and emasculate
To generalize an entire race of people as being lazy and users. wow. that's so foul for an African American woman to say. I don't know of any Black men that behave the way this guest host described. Maybe she should expand the selection of men she's dating. it might just be you girl!
ThomasTekno thats not just black men. That is the point I am making. so many men and women of all colors are that way. so the generalization on national TV is NOT helping educate people who already think less of the black community. its shameful and ignorant to say all men even those from the hood are lazy! I know so many poor black men busting their asses to get out of the hood. so I stand by my statement that she may want to expand her circle a bit.
ThomasTekno those are men SHE PICKED! so she needs to take responsibility and learn from those men and move on. she allowed those men to behave that way. that is why I said she needs to expand the circle she hangs around.
My father used to earn more money than my mother, but when he got fired he got a job which he earns less money from and my mother therefore earned more money and she still does after 10 years. My parents are okay with that, but to be totally honest my father would rather earn enough money so that my mother wouldn't have to work as much or at all. Because he feels that he should take care of her and that it is his duty to do so. However, if it was a career that my mother really liked such as growing a company, of course he would like nothing more for her to succeed even more so than him. I think it's more about how much you work, rather than how much you earn.
I sort of agree with Shekinah, except the race part. A man can be super supportive of his wife when she's the head of the household but at the same time, he can also feel like he's less of a man because he's not bringing money into the house. That can lead to a lot of fighting/arguments. I've personally witnessed this. So I know that there are men like that but once again, not all men are the same.
Destany Makel This is so true im living it right now! My husband was the main bread winner but now we make the same amount of money and he dont like it!
Destany Makel I think race really does have to do with it and I'm not saying that as in to say that black men are more insecure but depending on your culture the way that America makes black men feel like they don't support their families it's probably a lot harder for them to watch their woman be the breadwinner
Malika Zaiahna well like she says she can't speak for other races of men cuz she's only around black men personally but I think she was right to say it's about race I noticed that minorities already have a hard time because Society treats them like they can't support their family so I can imagine as a man to watch your woman make more money than you when the whole world is already telling you you're not doing your job of taking care of your family it's probably frustrating.
There is no scenario in which I would give money to any man unless he was my husband. Absolutely no scenario whatsoever. I agree with Jeannie. In my own personal life I have seen many occasions where a woman gives money to a man and it ends in disaster. The man is quickly revealed to be a con artist. I also have no respect for female gold diggers.
Honestly in my opinion if you’re hating on your woman for having a good career you are everything BUT a man. You’re supposed to support one another not trying to tear each other down
If that's the case, I agree with Tamera. Cory seems like a decent man who really loves and supports Tia. But deep down inside he probably wishes he could get to a Denzel level, where he's making millions per film. I don't think any man WANTS to make less than his wife.
NYCzora I don't think Tia makes more money than Corey right now,she hasn't been cast in any major role lately apart from doing her shows and probably some few endorsements,Corey is NOT a noise maker,he does his things low key and has a lot going on lately he doesn't even talk about, they have only one child definetly makes more than enough money.
I’m a man and one of the things I look for in a woman is for her to be passionate about the things she loves, have a good job, and be my partner, not my maid. If she makes more money than me that’s fine then we have more money for stuff like vacations
@Jenn He started out broke a'f & riding the bus. She was w him since then. He's of course elevated since then but she's always been the biggest earner & he's 1 of her biggest supporters
Tamera gets her 'not ALL' and 'no generalisations' from her ALL LIVES MATTER husband. I don't fully agree with the guest but race is relevant to the conversation. Hyper masculinity is an issue within the black male community
LadyChaos101 Absolutely correct each culture eat different types of food i dont know how they feel like each culture dont do things differently than the other yes race plays a big part whether they want to believe it or not people love to be sooo nice and sweet but the fact is each culture is different and is very relevant to this situation of households we all know that
thats because black women force men(typically the mothers doing) into thinking that way and its further forced because the women(black) who the men try to date devalue them if they arent hyper masculine.
DeAndre Johnson alot of women is giving men excuses to be lazy as hell thats why alot of men is running away from responsibility bc we always saying we dont need a man, i can do it by myself, I am my own woman, which is great but while we keep doing that we making men less men and is giving them excuses to not be as successful, I have a religion that is based on being a help meet to my man, yes i work, and yes i pay for things, but my man is suppose to be the lead and make sure me and my kids will never go without and i suppose to help him and push him to be the best he can be to be the leader of my household but we both respect eachother as equals but I know hes the Man bc he takes charge. Women needs to stop making excuses for men thats not being their full potential. But i guess this is a new age where men wear skinny jeans and its cute im glad im a 80s baby and have a different upbringing bc i cant be with a man that is not at least trying or working more than me to make sure i wont be without yes i can do it myself and i can but i got a man to take that load off of me and treat me like the queen i am and puts me on a pedestal like my God says.
Not true. Tamera was being real by defending the person most of us know who she is talking about. So because she's not gonna down all men when she personally knows a few who do not fall under that generalisation she's not real?
Tamera did not say that a man doesn't need to provide, she said, a man can make less money than his wife and still respect and adore her. I agree with that. I've seen it. And guess what?? They are both black American males! Yes, they may be rare, but much less so when you're talking about real, good, men.
StrongnBeautiful she said a man can stay home while the woman works. i disagree! if the woman is the breadwinner has either taking advantage of her or secretly jealous
Shekinah is dead wrong! My guy has always been in my corner and is secure with himself. I agree with Tamara 100% and we are not millionaires at all, yet.
Shekinah and Jeannie are right. No man is absolutely ok with their woman making more money than them. Although they might support their wife, they are still deep down not satisfied with themselves, its an ego thing.
Different perspectives are essential to meaningful, thought-provoking conversations. Love this segment because it's not a bunch of kumbaya, holding hands, everyone agree with each other, shenanigans. This is what makes the "real", real! Great job!
I didn't even notice the outfit.😔 Couldn't see past the bun. Maybe they were trying out something new, but she's not edgy like Jeannie she can't pull it off.
I love that they're having these guest hosts who are not politically correct because they just say it like it is. Joseline: at the end of the day that's a white girl; white women don't have booty like that Remy Ma: That's women with the "good" curls, not women with hair like me and Loni Shekinah: Depends on color At first, I was like The Real needs to do better but I'm liking this. They need someone to disagree with their asses!
erica yep! i remember every single one of those statements that you quoted,. and when they were said a silent awakwardness comes because thats TOO REAL. alot of ppl dont lk adding in cultural perspectives, but it exist! ( or we leave out wealth also)in the same breath, white, black, asian, latino we're all human and "mostly" the same, more than different. I wouldn't say tamara is naive her experiences are just her experiences, lk shekinah admitted "most blk men" although she admittedly hasn't dated others, she would be suprised to know this is HEATED arguments in married households all around the world,no matter color, I think only when you are truly truly wealthy do you not care that your woman makes as much or more than you or if at one time in their relationship you were the breadwinner and the roles have reversed. OR THE MAN IS VERY VERY VERY sure of himself or mature ..even then 1 in a million lk she said
erica also alot of these topics fly right over some of their heads lol...( if you've never heard of a tax refund moocher, then you've never been poor). when you have lived minimally, and then have become middle class/or wealthier or even went to college, met differnt families, not 1 white friend but their whole family is welcoming, and you've had these uneasy convos, and have worked with ppl of all race and had heated conversations., these experiences, and conversations shows me how much we are all the same but at the same time, sometimes shows me how close mined i am, or how i am eager to know ppl who live differently than me, socially, ecomically, and culturally
@@drezy07 You don't know for a fact that this is why they got divorced neither do you know for a fact that tamera was talking about tia. pushing an unverified twisted narrative is not the serve you think it is girl.
I am 57 and this young girl is speaking the true. shekinah You are young but very wise. The man is the head. I have been married almost 20 years. At one time I made more money then hubby, and I saw some chance. I had to understand he was a real man, He stepped it up.. But you young lady speak the true! some may not like it but it real
I see both Shakena's point and tamera/Adrienne's point. From personal experience, I had a boyfriend and we got together when i was in college. I was broke and lived off of my parents money. He had a job. I got my first job the same week I graduated. And I loved this man so much and I made the mistake of telling him how much I'll be making. It turns out I was going to make TWICE as much as him. And that's when everything went left field. It was other issues too. But looking back at it, he also persuaded to not take other jobs that I was offered before graduating. I just feel like guys who don't want their woman to make more money are VERY INSECURE. I'm not going to say all men are like that.
I think she talking about her sister and her husband Cory that’s why she going so hard. She spoke about it before how her sister met him standing at the bus stop and supported his acting career
I think she was in her emotions because Tia and Cory are what she's describing. Cory made less than Tia and they spoke about it many times about how he supported her and coached her and so on. I thought of Cory and Tia when she started talking as well..but yea. she's annoying.
charmedlilsis1 why are rich black men marrying other races other than black women? Your thugs that you picked up in prison aren't the same as the successful black men who looks down on you because you're fat uneducated beast.
I have to agree with Jeanie and the guest host on this, not on the color bit, though. I think men are men. I hope we see the male perspective in the comment section. It will be interesting reading their thoughts.
Christina Thomas she had valid points to what she was saying in regards to the standard heterosexual man. A man wants to provide for a woman he loves, and if you NEVER let him do anything for you and don't make him feel valued then yes he may look elsewhere for that opportunity and it will hurt the relationship, but money isn't the only thing that a man can provide. Being willing to be vulnerable and ask him for help also is important. I think maturity, and the level of commitment will determine how a man reacts to his lady making more than him not his color though so that's where I disagreed. Plus not all men are the same.
The issue is we are not debating on weather or not heterosexual men feel insecure If woman makes more money than her what tamera was saying is that it's not every man who is like that. I disagree when ppl generalize and day ALL you haven't been with all so you can't say that eg. When women say all men are dogs comments like those are ignorant so we are saying yes there are men who are like that yes but that statement does not applies to every single man
I agree with Shekinah! She's speaking the truth! Tamara face when she was breaking it down to her! I love it! And My girl Jeannie always keeps it REAL!!!
This is the first video I've disliked, the guest host is very much generalising. You cannot speak on behalf of everyone of a race. And you cannot speak on behalf of a man, when you have not been in the situation (and by that I mean, a man with a higher earning female partner)
Tam is obvi talking about Cory. I do however think there are men who can put their ego aside and support their boss wife but there are equally if not more men out here who feel intimidated by a woman's wealth.
Loni is just something else ❤️ I dunno who these people are that claim she talks too much - I think she’s extremely tasteful and poignant in her words and expressions whilst always giving the other ladies the floor first. I love you all ladies, I just feel Loni’s graciousness and it speaks to my soul 🤷🏻♀️
Lmao another guest host Tamera isn't gonna like. I agree with the guest host it's rare to come across a man that is comfortable enough within himself to have a woman take the lead! A large percentage of mens ego can't handle that it's an issue of power.
milly ma'at who does Tamera like? LOL I agree also. The only men I know that are comfortable in that role are the users. You know, the low-lifes who want a woman to take care of them.
milly ma'at EXACTLY ! Tamera just wanna sound correct ALL the time... they can love that you have something going on for yourself but they would love to be the one to provide and take care of the big issues instead of their wives
usadrones yes girl! And unfortunately I've dated these type of men. I don't mind helping a man and being there for him but I have overdone it I was an enabler 😫 but no more! I learned my lesson! After a certain age it's nice to know that your partner can provide its security! Don't nobody want to start a family and do it on their own we need a man that can provide and Lmaoo right? I can't think of one guest host Tamera seemed to like
Jani Robinson exactly and I'm not sure if I would want to have a family with a man that's comfortable with not being able to provide. Tamera really needs to have a seat on this one
Cray May from quick question, what's the ratio of black men that are loyal and in monogamous relationships that stand the test of time, VS black men that are sleeping around getting so many girls pregnant and leaving them to fend for themselves; whilst moving in to their latest project? What's the ratio of black men taking financial care of his partner vs the woman having to financially provide for that black man? The only black man I know who fits the first criteria is Barack obama. It's a shame.
Camara Rhodes no she aint. She's brilliant. And honest. She's speaking from her own experience and what she observed happen around her. Y'all know the truth. Sugar coat as you please, it don't make no difference.
I know this might sound whacky but if you're gonna generalize about what men feel then why don't you ask a few men of different backgrounds???? It sounds crazy I know but it might work.
Kima Ali Not only that but that co-host is saying basically all men think like that. Like have you met every man in this world??? That's so ignorant. It really pissed me off
Kima Ali I agree with you you cabt generalize all men When you aren't one and don't know all. But at least she explained it's based off the men she's been around in her area
Stephen Taylor that would be called Congress....we have panels of men speaking on our behalf ALL the time hun and what's worse is when they do it their dumb opinions trespass into our actual lives not just a tv show
This was a good discussion, but I think that Shekinah has a very skewed vision towards men. I don't believe that all men would be threatened by a more successful woman. However, I do believe that as a man I should still be able to provide for my family.Personally, I find a woman whose drive surpasses mine as something very sexy. It makes me want to work harder so that we can be great together.
But what if you would never achieve her level and she would always achieve more than you and earn more money, no matter how hard you work? Would you be ok with that and still find it sexy or would you get frustrated?
I don't believe that I would ever be frustrated with a person that I love being successful, even if they are more successful than I am. I believe that when you truly love someone you want them to be at their best and that comes with no limitations in my eyes. If my woman is more successful than me then that is great and I would love and want her just as much as if she made less than me. And yes I still believe that a powerful woman is sexy.
I feel like A and Tam aren't understanding what Shekinah is saying. She's saying the natural order of things, and imprinting in literal DNA is the hunter-gatherer spirit in a man's genetic breakdown, where a man is at his best protecting and providing. That doesn't mean he will hate on his woman outwardly, but overtime, it creates a deep resentfulness, because he will feel like, 'if you don't need me for this, what the hell do you need me for?' Some can be supportive, but even those are ones that are typically just comfortable with their woman doing everything, and so she then becomes resentful for being overworked - in addition to the 9-5 gig, she comes home to the traditional roles, because we all know how lame this 50/50 rule is. Its so ingrained in our DNA, its impossible to resist, that's all. A missed the entire point.
I agree to disagree w/Shekinah. I understand where she is coming from 1,001%. Those type of so called men don't really have to wait until tax returns only, they do it on the 1st& the 15th of every month also, lol
Nobody should be going around telling people what that their experiences are the ONLY truth because firstly, they have not experienced what others have gone through, and secondly, that is just putting down other people's experiences and opinion. Tamera wasn't disagreeing and putting down her judgement, she was only stating that it does not and should not to apply to everyone because that is segregation, whether based on race, sex, religion, etc.
Shekinah has a point...some men really will begrudge their woman's success and be bitter as hell about it. A good friend of mine has been ill with cancer and he still doesn't want his wife taking care of the family financially...he admits it makes him feel like less of a man now that he's not the breadwinner. But I don't agree with her that this is specific to black men. LMAO. There are men from other races and cultures who feel this way.
Shekinah was being REAL AF! Im here for it. Just like they said, they all have had different experiences. Shekinah been through and around certain type of dudes that Tamera and Adrienne hasn't. They would be surprised as to how truthful Shekinah is being.
I love how Tamera was still respectful and kept her composure cause that conversation could’ve took a twisted turn.
Looks like I'm the only one who agrees with Jeannie, take him out/go on a vacation but DO NOT GIVE HIM THE ACTUAL MONEY, what tf for?
Unless it's less than 10 dollars - otherwise, you gotta make sure you get paid back..what other reason would you need to be giving him money? Gifts, that's different, but actual cash where he can go and spend it as he pleases...that's a little worrisome...unless it's for hospital bills and he's going to pay you back, nope, sorry. I'm already in debt w/ student loans, not about that life.
Mandy X'O-twod But does that mean the woman can still take her boyfriends money? Because many guys are expected to spend money in a relationship and end up losing when the relationship ends
But you would gladly take the money if he gave it to you right? So does that means he shouldn't give you money either ?
milly ma'at I don't take money from any man
My ex asked me for $200 cuz he was short on a some bills.
Tay E YES I AGREE
I think this was the most balanced response yet covering this clip. Thanks Tay E.
Yes, I agree with both.
i believe that tamera wasn't speaking on her experience. she was speaking on her friends(i think tia's) experience. Shekinah was talking about her own 1st person exprience
i think the issue was that shekinah was generalizing but tamera wasnt
I really admire Tamara for expressing her opinion like a professional.
Honestly, Tamera is talking about a relationship where both are making millions. The guest host might be talking about everyday relationships whereby they don't make that much, and it's easy to feel and tell the difference in wages.
Ana Jo thank you. they're completely disregarding that complexity.
thats an excellent point! i never thought of it like that
Exactly! Tamera does not really understand where the "average" couple is coming from.
This is what I think Shekinah meant when she said I'm out here in the world".Where a man is in life plays apart in everything. Not sure if Tamera can relate.
Ana Jo nope nope nope hush
Shekinah is 100% right. MOST men don't feel good about themselves when they can't provide.
C. M. But what do they need to feel good for , we are not here to have a pity party... get your self up and go get you some dough
C. M. totally agree.
Yeah understood what Shekinah was saying. The only problem is that it was too generalized
that doesn't mean women should sit back, do nothing, and be nothing. I am not giving into your ego, youre not the only one with feelings.
I actually love when they have guest like this.. They pop these girls bubbles they live in.
Patricia R. trueeeee
by perpetuating stereotypes and sexist double standards based in one persons reality. Wow congrats to her and her narrow minded point of view. This is why no one wants black women smh always stuck in their ignorant ways.
DeAndre Johnson I love how you talked about stereotypes and proceeded to stereotype black women.
Hell yeah makes interesting and real for once. ..tam is shook up
Yes DeAndre Johnson because that's real life. Everyone can't be sitting there agreeing with each other like it's all peaches and cream. There are many men and women who agree with Shekinah's perspective.
Loni kept trying to chill everyone out but the guest host was not backing down. Nice to see some different opinions and not everyone agreeing
Some men do low key HATE on the female providers
I've heard too many situations like this
Jo I have too. Both sides have a valid point
yeah, key word : some
They all do in the inside! Theres still a long way to go! For that to be normal! Maybe in canada but not in the rest of the world it isnt!
Jo 💯
True.
*Shekinah done came in, and tore down the foundation!...Lmao!...She had everyone in the audience gasping, and Tamera almost swallowed her tongue!..She's too real!...I love it!*
shawna lewine she has archeaic beliefs and perpetuates negative stereotypes about her own race.
Swathi Ramaprasad omg yes
shawna lewine idk what's 'real' about it. Everyone can just go and scream their opinion when it's based on nothing factual. It's more real to me to actually say something that makes sense
shawna lewine you are too funny with your comments. My eyes poppin out my head watchin this episode!
shawna lewine swap her with loni she lies😭😂😂
the real is starting to get real now lol.
Victoria Kay right even Loni was like : Oh yeah this week is definitely about to get REAL lol
Victoria Kay tamera felt a type of way
Ive been WAITING FOR THIS BC DUDEEEE ITS REAL!!!!!!!!!!!
wanderer she was in her feelings
bsbgirl85 first of all, running one's mouth and being disrespectful and classless ain't "keeping it real", that just means you're rude and need a slap in the face by señor respect
I low key want to go through the screen and take that random bun off her head! lol
Nikkirenae8 P. Its horrible
It looked like a biscuit smh
It's like the female man bun. I don't get it.
Nikkirenae8 P. i wanted to do that it did do her justice
Go girl go!!! get it off!!
ALL MEN DON'T SHARE THE SAME MENTALITY !
Jay 2.0 Exactly
Java Juice Exactly
I agree with Tamera. Shanika needs to have several seats generalizing all black men like that. She needs to raise her standards if she only dates men who want to use her for her tax refund.
This is the realest conversation I've ever seen on this show! Love it!
I dont think this is all black men, however, I do think men in general need to feel like they are contributing to the relationship.
rex smithehiggins right
I agree with Loni on this one, this is going to be a REAL good week 😂😂 This table has been all Rainbows and Unicorns for too long, it's bout time someone came to shake it up.
Yes
Shekinah is been real. Men ego is affected when they can't be the breadwinner of the house. Some of them are able to hide it. Preach girl.
anyone else cringing the whole time? the hosts are trying to explain their opinions politely, but i feel like they're about to pop off hahaha
Kristine Anne I wish Tamera or Adrienne would, cuz this host was rude and spoke over them many times. Some men are lame af like that but not all men are like how Tamera was trying to say to her
Kristine Anne you the only one cringing.
@@charity9660 nope i was cringing too
@@charity9660 😎
@@charity9660 😪
Shekinah honestly kept it real and she's quite accurate! Most of the time if the woman is more successful, men tend to cheat with a woman who is below them financially... It's an ego thing!
Like Jay Z and Beyoncé
@@ms.tinygiant Beyonce is not more successful than Jay Z, at least from a financial standpoint.
Unfortunately he has the "leverage" in their relationship. He has access to the most of women he finds attractive (not only physically but attractive from a dating standpointl) unfortunately that isn't the case for her with the men she would find attractive from a dating standpoint).
@@ms.tinygiant what Jayz has waay more money!!!
Shekinah got them in their FEELINGS lol. I don't necessarily agree with her but dang it got so tense
J. Joelle it did. I think Tam shouldn't have forced down her point so much
J. Joelle Yes I was holding on to my seat i agree ha
Adrienne too cause baby....thatd real
J. Joelle I was 😂 when Loni put her mug to her mouth!!!!!
They needed that tbh
Tamera is definitely talking about Tia & Cory at 4:09 & 6:52!! 😐
Girly Fab oooo shade
hyper ritual 😂😂 you know it's true
Well, Tia & Cory did meet when Tia and Tamera drove past him... at a bus stop... and gave him a ride home. #Ouch
Girly Fab did she think nobody would know who she was talking about? 😂 omg so obvious girl
oooh didn't catch that....
I feel like Tamera is talking about Tia's husband Cory. Although he is a actor, his net worth isn't up there with Tia.
Najah KK but they have been together for 9 years prior to being married
Myronn Coleman And? She was making that Sister Sister money when she met him.
Chrissy c ok I understand that but when you in love , money is not gonna be the main priority until you get married and start a family...
Honey . No, Kory makes more than Tia now. He is in some Spielberg movies.
Shanice Richards YOUR DAD IS NOT EVERY MAN u need to FUCKING understand that
More often than not, Shekinah is right. Not all but most.
Agree
That’s tameras point...shekinah has a very prejudice and racist viewracist , view
and Tamera please dont ever ever do this hairstyle again
Ever!

Shan Goody Ever

Shan Goody Never
the lady in the middle is right and tamera thinks this world is perfect. majority of men feel a type of way if the wife making all the coin.
wanderer if they love her they won't be bothered by it
they wont be bother but a part of them will always have that type of bothersome...it's man's design
no in reality that mentality is more america and third world then in most first world countries. Though it does show how backwards america really is.
Her hsuband may feel a way to her face...but in reality hate she makes more
+Positive vibes Who wants a big baby for a man? A problem that his mate makes more money? Why? Cause he wants to overpower her. Too bad then.
OneLoveRSR kmsl..."bitchassedness"
OneLoveRSR you're right
Ego has to be stroked all the time and not only that you have to lie to them to make them feel better. ..men are babies
I used to.lie to my ex bf all the time just to make him feel good and manly
safaa Clermont you shouldnt have to lol he needs his mom to build his esteem not his girlfriend
Shekinah got these ladies together, they wasn't ready for her type of REAL. I love it! 😂
Maame Animah-Gyebi I agree with Tamera
My aunt is married and when she started making more than her husband their relationship got REALLY tight. He felt emasculated and didn't want to keep asking for money and you could tell he felt some kind of way about her making more money but if you mad your wife is making more money than you DO BETTER.
h Bag Because when some men make more money than the woman he feels like he is in control. But some women won't be controlled no matter how much he make.
Shekinah is being tooooo real for Tamtam. This is going to be a good week! YesGODDDD
Giuliana Castro21 hell yeah it is
For all of them except loni who is excited clearly about this week
Yes! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
I wouldn't say she's "too real" because she's shutting down everyone else's opinion. I will say that she's too much for Tamera to handle.
TerraMarie too real and tam tam cant handle
shekinah opinion is what my mum says. no matter how much a man loves you and if you are earning more than him. they will be happy for you. a little part of him will be feel some type of way and unhappy because they willl always believe they are suppose to be the man of the house and take care of you..that doesnt mean its not a reflection of you not it's a reflection of them and if they truly loves you they wont get that part to get the better of them but some men let that part run in and sort of project on you.. im not saying all of them will not be happy if their women is earning more than them but i'm saying a part of them will feel like a kick on the ego and emasculate
Um... that's what he said... her experience. And he said it in all caps, like, several times!
Thank you sir. If anyone would know and could have clearer input it would be a black man and you clearly wear your critical thinking cap daily!
I agree with shekinah
My father used to earn more money than my mother, but when he got fired he got a job which he earns less money from and my mother therefore earned more money and she still does after 10 years. My parents are okay with that, but to be totally honest my father would rather earn enough money so that my mother wouldn't have to work as much or at all. Because he feels that he should take care of her and that it is his duty to do so. However, if it was a career that my mother really liked such as growing a company, of course he would like nothing more for her to succeed even more so than him. I think it's more about how much you work, rather than how much you earn.
Thats all shaniqua is saying man dont feel ok deep inside even tho they seem supportive or ok deep in side they shady about it. :)
I love the fact that they disagree, makes it more interesting😂😂😂.
I wonder if she meant class and not race
Exactly.
Shekinah taking no prisoners this week! I'm here for it!😂😂
I know im really late but going through old clips but yes
Honestly in my opinion if you’re hating on your woman for having a good career you are everything BUT a man. You’re supposed to support one another not trying to tear each other down
Exactly. 👏👏👏
6:14 Well isn't this the whole point of the show? to have different opinions?
These kinds of discussions are the best, different opinions!
I know but you can argue your points.
Yes, Shorouk A. Yes!
I feel like lowkey Tamera is talking about Cory and Tia, ain't no way Cory is making anywhere near as much as Tia.
If that's the case, I agree with Tamera. Cory seems like a decent man who really loves and supports Tia. But deep down inside he probably wishes he could get to a Denzel level, where he's making millions per film. I don't think any man WANTS to make less than his wife.
pwincesstrix She made it clear "black husband and black wife".
That hit home for Tamera, she usually just sits there and nod...
Hit her so hard...u could see it
I’m a man and one of the things I look for in a woman is for her to be passionate about the things she loves, have a good job, and be my partner, not my maid. If she makes more money than me that’s fine then we have more money for stuff like vacations
Tamera was clearly talking about her sister Tia . Shekinah 'bout got her triggered . Don't mess with a sisters sister .
Dont think youre right all the time shekinah kept her point calm i love it this really got everybody talking good job
Deandre you sound stupid please hush lol
Very much so...they dont run most households for a reason and not to make them seem like a victim arr lowest rated men in society as well...
But i guess this is a new age where men wear skinny jeans and its cute im glad im a 80s baby and have a different upbringing bc i cant be with a man that is not at least trying or working more than me to make sure i wont be without yes i can do it myself and i can but i got a man to take that load off of me and treat me like the queen i am and puts me on a pedestal like my God says.
these girls got checked, especially the husbands that **cough** aint gettin no coinage
HoneyBee aka both of their mans
HoneyBee Which husbands are we talking about Cus Freddy not only works but he is also a reality star which a lot people may not know lol
i thought he shoots foxes and deers for livin'

HoneyBee all there husbands work
Jeanie is about the only person that is real on this show. They so damn stuck up.
Thank you! I fucks with Jeannie it might be something too ghetto or cliche for the other hosts to admit but if Jeannie agrees she will say she agrees.
Not true. Tamera was being real by defending the person most of us know who she is talking about. So because she's not gonna down all men when she personally knows a few who do not fall under that generalisation she's not real?
It kills me when people try to use one example to overlook the majority.
I agree
Part of me feel as if they are getting defensive because they know that their is truth in what Shekinah is saying.
I don't necessarily agree with the guest host....but I lowkey love how she's ruffling Tamera's feathers. Call me messy, I don't care!! :-p
she ruffled the hell out of those feathers! (sipping tea and eating popcorn)
it's like one minute Tamera is all Christian.. but thennn she says a man doesn't have to provide 😩
Tan T No. She's saying that Corey can't provide so he cheers for Tia.
Loistene Rattler you can't be half way in anything. it clearly states in the bible that a man suppose to provide for his wife!
***** a man who doesn't work doesn't eat!

Joseline: at the end of the day that's a white girl; white women don't have booty like that
Remy Ma: That's women with the "good" curls, not women with hair like me and Loni
Shekinah: Depends on color
At first, I was like The Real needs to do better but I'm liking this.
OR THE MAN IS VERY VERY VERY sure of himself or mature ..even then 1 in a million lk she said
erica also alot of these topics fly right over some of their heads lol...( if you've never heard of a tax refund moocher, then you've never been poor). when you have lived minimally, and then have become middle class/or wealthier or even went to college, met differnt families, not 1 white friend but their whole family is welcoming, and you've had these uneasy convos, and have worked with ppl of all race and had heated conversations., these experiences, and conversations shows me how much we are all the same but at the same time, sometimes shows me how close mined i am, or how i am eager to know ppl who live differently than me, socially, ecomically, and culturally
what is the name of the segment with remy ma that you are referring to?
if i remember correctly its the youtube video called lets talk about natural hair!

Jordan Booth lol!!!
Jordan Booth LOLLLLL
I looove how she's keeping it REAL!!!! And she's telling the truth!!!!
Tamera looks maaad pressed. it's rather amusing 😂
I think she talking about her sister and her husband Cory that’s why she going so hard. She spoke about it before how her sister met him standing at the bus stop and supported his acting career
Tamera looks like she had an argument with her style squad
Tamera allll uuuupppp in her emotions.
All up. Girl, sit down, relax, release your bun, and go play with the toddlers.
I think she was in her emotions because Tia and Cory are what she's describing. Cory made less than Tia and they spoke about it many times about how he supported her and coached her and so on. I thought of Cory and Tia when she started talking as well..but yea. she's annoying.
Sabrina Valenzuela "release your bun" 🙊
Shakona (or whatever her name is) was telling the truth. Tamera and Adrienne were defensive bc she was talking about them and their broke husbands.
charmedlilsis1
but Tameras husbands rich soooo
charmedlilsis1 why are rich black men marrying other races other than black women? Your thugs that you picked up in prison aren't the same as the successful black men who looks down on you because you're fat uneducated beast.
Adam has money
Malou Deng What's your problem?
Adam is the richest husband at the Table and Israel is right behind him so what you talkn bout?
Sad, when you live only one life and think that is the world.
looool this guest host is raw, dragging black men under the bus like that lol
Not sure how I feel about shekinah but she adds a little drama to this panel and keeps it real and I like that can't wait for this week
When women say all men are dogs comments like those are ignorant so we are saying yes there are men who are like that yes but that statement does not applies to every single man
Jamaican Boy I agree.
I agree with Shekinah! She's speaking the truth! Tamara face when she was breaking it down to her! I love it! And My girl Jeannie always keeps it REAL!!!
Shekinah is just what this show needed. This week is the 1st time in a long time I have been interested. It was truly a yawn Fest.
This is the first video I've disliked, the guest host is very much generalising. You cannot speak on behalf of everyone of a race. And you cannot speak on behalf of a man, when you have not been in the situation (and by that I mean, a man with a higher earning female partner)
Rababah Amjad preach it
I agree with Shekinah, God placed men in charge and as leaders for a reason
Tam is obvi talking about Cory. I do however think there are men who can put their ego aside and support their boss wife but there are equally if not more men out here who feel intimidated by a woman's wealth.
Loni is just something else ❤️ I dunno who these people are that claim she talks too much - I think she’s extremely tasteful and poignant in her words and expressions whilst always giving the other ladies the floor first. I love you all ladies, I just feel Loni’s graciousness and it speaks to my soul 🤷🏻♀️
I agree with Tamera. There have been times where I have made more than my man and it never bothered him as long as he was working
Moments like this make me miss Tamar :(
Lmao another guest host Tamera isn't gonna like.
Tamera really needs to have a seat on this one
milly ma'at Preach
Did she say it depends on the color? Did I hear right? So only black men are intimidated? Wtf 💀
Cray May she was basically just saying she can only speak for black people bc shes black so she just talking bout her race bc thats all she know
Babyphat2def NC just because she's black doesn't mean she can speak for ALL black men.
Shekinah is annoying.
I love Shekinah being there; it's about time "The Real" got back to being exactly that, *REAL*...
This was so stupid. Thank you, Tamera, for defending us men
so we just gonna ignore the dunkin donut on Tamaras head? ok... Just wanted to make sure
Lmao
Ive seen worst hairstyles. ..please
It really pissed me off
Damn you're fine 😍😊
I HAVE NEVER LAUGHED OUT SO LOUD AT THIS SHOW!
This woman is the epitome of REAL!
Tamera gwhine fraid fi di whole week!!!!!!!!!
I agree to disagree w/Shekinah. I understand where she is coming from 1,001%. Those type of so called men don't really have to wait until tax returns only, they do it on the 1st& the 15th of every month also, lol
Heavensent G. TRUTH
Lol, so I've heard from female friends over the years. Damn shame.
Shekinah and Jeannie are SPEAKING TRUTH!!! Adrienne and Tamera are just defensive cause they just WANNA BE right.
The Mary Lindsay yeah
Tamera makes more than her man, thats why she so fires up
The Mary Lindsay They’re defensive because they probably make more money that their partners. So they’re taking it personally
Yes yes yes
The Mary Lindsay that’s exactly what I thought girl 🤷🏻♀️
Shekinah was being REAL AF! Im here for it. Just like they said, they all have had different experiences. Shekinah been through and around certain type of dudes that Tamera and Adrienne hasn't. They would be surprised as to how truthful Shekinah is being.
