- Here's a Compilation of the Crash Bandicoot Ads that aired in Japan from the PS1 Crash Bandicoot in 1996 to Crash Team Racing in 1999.

Muffintime 2.0 You mean Crash 1 commercial? Because the Crash 1 commercial is what introduced the Crash Dance for Crash 2.
It is thanks to this Japan commercial, commanded by the Marketing of Sony, Megumi Hosoya, that the Crash Dance is made.
Crash 2 has this pose integrated into the game officially, and CTR has Megumi herself as one of the Trophy Girls.

LRGonzales so from what I can gather, they aren’t actually pronouncing the T at the end of “bandicoot”. The word they’re using is バンディクー, which would be pronounced as “bandikū”. Not that it matters immensely, but for future reference, the character ク is “ku” and a horizontal line is a vowel elongation.
In japanese, the only consonant sound that has it’s own character is the n sound(ん), so a t sound would have to be represented by a full syllable, such as と(to).

Crash is to me a very versatile character so it's nice that you can see him in the more edgy american portrayal alongside the goofy japanese side and both can technically be canon

To be honest, this is tonally closer to what Crash Bandicoot games are like than the North American advertising at the time. Crash is a silly cartoon goofball who eats fruit, not a Gen X-er with a megaphone hanging out at Pizza Hut.

When i was kid, these weird Crash's commercials were playing almost every day, and it was very impressive.
I especially remember the first Crash Bandicoot commercial being aired about 100 times a day.
