If for some reason it is a pressure issue, add a manual water pressure regulator at the cold water inlet and set it to the low end of your pressure tank switch.
Hello Jason and Jen sent me over to look at your channel, I subscribed to your channel, I love the off grid homesteading. I enjoy seeing all the things you all have installed to make your lives a little better. Thanks for sharing your lives with us here on UA-cam. I been looking for property here in Tennessee to get my homestead up and running. I have got my ideas and things that I want in my home and animals that I would love to have as well. 😊
Interesting. Quick update, I do have the second bullet mold in possession. Be a little under the weather so to speak. But will be molding soon for this and a couple of other projects. Mountain man
Good information to know. We bought one of those on Amazon for our off grid shower we have at the cabin in the UP Before we went up on our first cleaning trip after we bought the property. It works great. While cleaning out a junkie little travel trailer that was left on the property we found another brand new one in a box in it . my wife, Glenda and I were talking to each other, wondering how long they would actually last. Well, I think you gave us the answer. Thanks for the info.
@@ADifferentKindofQuiet well we made three trips up there last year to work on the place for about a week each time. So yes, I think they should last a bit before. We have to worry about something different. Eventually, after the cabin is done, I will be building a little shower house, that is enclosed and may have to do something a little different. We will see. I think we are planning a trip towards the end of this month or the first week of June. Looking forward to it. I am doing a lot of work here trying to get a garden area fenced in and built before we go.
You could get a small electric water heater (dorm or apt size) and only use it 4 hours a day to take showers and wash dishes. I have one that fits under the sink and it works great and because it is not on 24/7 it can run off a solar battery.
Technically, all water is hot, a heater just makes it warmer. I kicked out my propane water heater years ago when I went to PV electric tank. My shower is still plumbed backwards as the hot went to propane and cold went to PV water heater. That gave me two options for hot water. Never reverted back to propane after installing electric. With propane gone that got plumbed to cold. I designed a controller which diverts any excess PV power directly to heat water efficiently. it can divert 5W to 1,000W, whatever is excess at the time. And it is all free. Never had to buy more solar panels. People don't realize how much solar power they just throw away. I went thru a lot of propane tanks before this.
Great information. It's nice to see how the system is holding up over time. Thanks for sharing.
Great information here. The thumb nail caught my attention......love it
I took your advice on the last one! 😂
LOL. Hot water heater gets me two. Thanks for the info . We are about to go full time.

Thanks for the advice! I’ll have to try that

That should last you for a long time with part time use!

Thank you. That intrigues me, I will definitely look into that!
Great Thumbnail... it made me click! and I'm glad you are ok!
Thanks! It looked worse than it was but it was still pretty bad. 😲
I have two Camplux on demand water heaters for the last 4 years at my office grid cabin and they have held up very well nothing like your experiencing
Just curious, do you use them full time?
Yes we’re full time off grid in NW Wisconsin
That’s good to know, we might change to another brand when it’s time to replace this one. Thanks for the info!
Are you guys in the l.p. Or the u.p.? We live in Emmet county in the l.p. Great channel!
A little bit of both ! Thanks for watching. 😊
