In this video I show how I made my own brackets to mount modern plastics onto a 2002 CRF450. Personally not a fan of the plastic cut on the Polysport kits, they do not look OEM. This video shows you how to make your own brackets complete with measurements and templates and instructions on how I made these brackets to fit 2017 OEM plastics on a 2002 CRF450.

No 2017 radiator shrouds that I have seen have that top mounting hole where's yours is located.

Would they been the same dimensions for the 2008 model to use same plastics as you have here

Similar, you can always get some metal and line up the holes

How do you determine shim size on a new set of valves???

I install the new valves and usually start with a standard size in the intake and exhaust from a kit and use feeler gauges to check the specs, I believe I look for 0.13-0.19 mm on the intake valves and 0.25-0.31 mm on the exhaust valves. I forget the actual size of the shims I used but measured them with a micrometer and went with smaller ones on the exhaust and larger ones on the intake.

I have a 2006 crf 250x I want to put 2017 plastics on and do away with the front head light and rear fender, will these templates work with it

Sure they should work

If you make them you may have to adjust the holes a bit depending on how the plastics line up.
