My 2010 Honda CBR125RW wouldn't start unless it was in neutral, just did what you did and now it starts so I assume my clutch switch wasn't making contact. Thank you!
Awesome video! Will try it in a few days... I just have one question about it. What have you done with the wire coming from the clutch lever? I did not get it :)
@@dirtbiketv1 that weird because I can start my trx450r without pulling in the clutch, I thought it might be for when it was ingear it wouldn't start without the clutch being in.. thanks man
My Honda crf125f 2018,when I less in the clutch if I’m in gear it makes no compression if I try to kickstart or push start but if I press the e-starter it will start why does it do this
Weird-- if it is turning over at all then the clutch switch mod is fine. It will either work or not. If it is "struggling" I would think that the issue is something else (battery etc)
My battery on my 2018 is a nightmare if its been left in shed for 1 week .. when i get it out its got a dead battery its 3 months old.. becoming a pain in the ass..
@@peternufc1981 dude I bought my 21 yz450f from NC like 3 months ago. And the bike only has 32min on it now. Has never seen a trickle charge, it was bought cash and it was left over inventory. This is stock and don’t know how but it starts everytime. Just took it out for quick ride after riding 2 months ago. Lol. Check the battery, maybe your regulator/rectifier is not working. I put charger on now because it’s been needing it for safety incase battery was to drain from weeks not running. KTM / Honda mainly known for the draining battery issue. Also check your starter button. For info: KTM start button are all looped with the FI dash light. They can fail. Maybe the Honda has a set up like that within the harness. Just use a test light and multi-meter to run through the battery, solenoid, starter, to starter button. Anyhow, hope you got it fixed by now.

You can pull it off -- or put a after market set up on as the Works Connection Elite Perch.
What is that wire called that you pulled off?
@@natemandrik Way late to the party but since nobody answered it is the clutch safety switch wire.
Actually putting this style on yz450f to use it to engage a very custom homemade 2-step. Patent pending.
Will this work on a 2020 crf250r ?
Oh shit!!! Thank you
When I do what you did and connect the two wires my bike start without me having to push the button.
Magic
Will this work on a 2018 Honda grom?
What's the purpose of the clutch switch?
Legal safety deal
@@dirtbiketv1 what does it do?
OH -- makes it so you have to have the clutch pulled in to start the bike. With it off you can be in neutral and just hit the button to start it.

Sounds like clutch not fully engage and dragging motor and the Estart can get past it--- Weird ?
Dirt Bike TV hmmm well how could I get it to fully engage if it’s not fully engaging
When pressing the clutch in normal use is it meant to click or not mine dosent click and strugles to start
