      @@BushcraftOnFire Dave, Tam, and Family. My name is Steve, I am a 52 year old Missouri boy (Northern of the state) that was raised out in the sticks. I thought I knew A LOT about bush crafting. I was the type that watched bush crafting videos just to laugh at their lack of knowledge. Many years ago (around 10 years ago), I stumbled crossed one of your videos and was I truly impressed. Then The video of Tam teaching about Sumac lemon aid came out, Something I never knew. Of course I had to try it, I still drink it today And I have been learning from the Bushcraftonfire family every since. Thank you ALL for the very good and knowledgeable information that you have shared and taught us. Although I have never met any of your family I feel like your family was a true blessing to myself, wife and children. The information that you shared is still being used and taught in my family today and will be for generations to come. Thank you, God Bless you, AND yes I would truly love to see MORE videos from the Bushcraftonfire family.

    Good trick! I remember one with the handhold being wood & having a socket in it like normal, but a piece of that kind of metal was in the socket for making things smoother. It was a Dave Canterbury one & I think a section from the bottom of the can makes more sense than cutting a piece off the side (which I think he did).

  • @namtuart
    @namtuart 9 років тому +1

    Hello Doo. Took your idea a step smaller: Used a Propane Fire Lighter Fill-Up can to build a small alkohol stove and use the bottom of it like you do as a handhold. These cans are very strong as they have to hold high pressure liquit propane / butane. Thank you for the inspiration. Greetings from Germany,
    benjamin:)

    Look very close at your monster can and it's logo. It is three Hebrew letters, vav, vav, vav. The letter vav is the sixth letter of the Hebrew alphabet. Just sharing in interesting info. Other than that nice work with the bow drill, Shalom.

    • @BushcraftOnFire
      @BushcraftOnFire  10 років тому +3

      Thank you for the comment on the Bow Drill.
      As an aside for all of the other readers.. you are quite incorrect.. The biblical number of the beast is not just the digit six repeated 3 times...it is actually the number six hundred and sixty-six...which would be represented by very different Hebrew letters... The actual number of the beast which is six hundred and sixty-six would be represented by the letters 'tav resh samekh vav'...-not- 'vav vav vav'...and 'tav resh samekh vav' would have -no resemblance whatsoever- to the logo on the monster energy drink.. or most anything else people say is "666" today.

    This method of bow drill wastes too much energy. There is a better way to do this and faster using a modified version which uses less energy.
