Omg he was so into the beat! This is so darn good! What a performer, noone will ever compare! I love this performance the most! So spontaneous! Ty so funny too! 😊
I think what made all of this "ELVIS" legendary stuff was because of this dynamic, .....Elvis himself wasnt aware of how great HE was, how talented HE was, how much charisma, style, charm HE had. His humility and/or unawareness if you will, of all these traits he possessed, allowed all of these wonderful traits to flow out of him. He never took himself too seriously. He never could see what all the big fuss was about him because he didnt see for himself how great he really was.
Other musicians have commented on Elvis's rhythm capabilities ! He felt everything! Then had to move to it! His whole body would move, he was one of a kind.....When I first saw him in Vegas, I and my friend stood in line for 8 hours and was still in the back! I walked down to the front to ask what it cost to get a front row seat! At the evening show I pain an extra $100 to be right next to the stage. I was so nervous when they played his intro music! Then there he was dressed all in white! After he sang a few of his hits, he walked over! He was so generous , his voice was amazing! He threw me a scarf and a man pushed me over and took it out of my hands. The rush of the crowd was scary when he got close. Next I knelt on my chair and called his name, he smiled and came right over! He knelt down to kiss me while I slipped his sweaty scarf off from around his neck. The sweat stains are still there. I'll never forget that night. Then I saw him in Lake lake Tahoe twice, every show was different but he was always great.....
Elvis was, is definitely the man. He was funny, talented and unique. He felt the music he performed, he was the music he performed. Thank you for this fabulous video!❤
I love this one too....he is absolutely at home on stage and how can anyone not smile watching him just be ....Elvis.😅😊 such a character too...I always thought his music is for all generations to love.
I love it when he uses his voice as an instrument not just singing but adding gibberish sounds as an addition to the rhythm. It's like what he hears in his head. His moves are spot on and his spontaneity and humor is the best. Thanks for this video and I totally agree, I like this version in the Concho suit better.
I agree! This was a much better performance. He's more relaxed, and you couldn't really see it but his band had to be watching Elvis real close to see what he was going to do. Elvis really enjoyed himself in this. I absolutely loved it!!
The Elvis film completely converted me. As Lisa Marie said, it's a really important film, not just because it was her dad. My daughter has chosen to study Music for one of her GCSE's (we're in the UK). I'm so excited because as party of her study, she will need to study Elvis and his influence on modern music. Maybe they will even be able to make her a fan?
I love when he’s SO into the music that he just takes off on a total ad lib! I was just thinking the exact same thing when u said his band had to be prepared for anything! Like the part where he does the “now that’s Polk (drum) salad” (drum drum) Ronnie Tutt had to really be paying attention to be sure he got those beats in for him! That goes all the way back to early in his career when he did Hound Dog on one of the early shows (Sullivan maybe?) and at the end he slowed it down to a really slow version and later, one of the guys, (I think JD Fontana) asked him what made him think to do that without telling them first, or something like that, and Elvis said something like aw I knew y’all would get it! Even watching that performance u can see Scotty and Bill totally watching Elvis the whole time to see what he was gonna do. Elvis was always the one in control n I loved it! ❤❤
Oh my days!!! Thank you so much for bringing this to us and please never stop.. Love your smile throughout... Definitely the best version.. Amazing!!!!! ❤❤❤❤❤
I’ve always loved how he could use his vocal gyrations to energize his band and set the rhythm and feel he was after. That’s where that chunky, jivey sound comes from as Ronnie and James take off with it on the drums and guitar.
He is a monster on stage !!!!!!!!! His charisma is fantastic!!!!!!! His passion and his performance absolutely MAGNIFICENT!!!!!! UNIQUE IN THE WORLD FOR EVER AND EVER!!!!!!!!!
The way he moves to music is absolutely incredible! He felt it from his head to his toe. I love everything about Elvis Presley.. Side note: he says in this video that it was hair in his mouth. 😊
This is amazing!! He was an absolute original! Thanks for sharing! Man could Elvis perform 👑❤️🔥😇😋🥵🔥💜🎶😍😘🎸⚡️🙌🏼 He just always went by instinct. It's remarkable!!!!!
New subscriber here! I love this performance of Elvis! I do enjoy your commentary of Elvis' performances. You help me appreciate those live performances better and what I maybe might need to look for. Thank you! This is my favorite era of Elvis and you are so right! What a treat it would have been to have seen that in person. I am 62 and have been a fan for a long time, but not to the extent I am today! A little too young to hit his concerts or go to Vegas. You made a statement about trying to get the owners of his concert films to release better quality products. What can we do as fans to encourage that? I love how he got into his music...full throttle! For sure, Elvis is the Man!!! Thanks again, David.
This is one of my absolute fav. Versions of "Polk Salad Annie"... I must confess that I can't choose "one" fav. of that Song because even in 76 he did some great variations of it... but the one's from 70 are top... I love how different he move's, talks and sings also the different guitar-styles James did.. Just a great song
Yes, I am always telling people this is the best I seen this song I wish they will put this one on DVD and show more light as well. Keep on doing a good job for Elvis. He will never die. Thank you for sharing. Chap 😊
I had a lot of comments to make but instead I’ll just say I agree with everything you had to say! I agree completely! So glad you put this together. So good! ❤
Love this man. His sound and movements were natural and genuine....beautiful beast of a man, artist and entertainer. People hate on him out of jealous and misplaced resentment. Elvis Presley: the one artist others find difficult to emulate and imitate. Good try and effort, though. That in itself says something extraordinary - EP was and will always be the Original, no copies required. King Emperor ✌🏼💯⚡❤️
He was fantastic in Vegas, especially the early 70's. He'd get moving, especially to Polk Salad and you thought he would dislocate all the bones in his body. Plus the audience all moved with him. Amazing.
Elvis is universal!!! Fantastic commentary David!! How can us Elvis fans or anyone really, not enjoy footage like this… absolutely phenomenal performance 💯 …………..T⚡️C⚡️B…………
Good morning David! I love watching you watch him. Your appreciation for this guy is admirable as you sugar coat nothing so when something such as this pops up, we all know why we’re here. I am reminded of the of performances we will never see since they were not recorded. Thank God this one was! I agree that this version was the best: seeing him go off in his own little musical world is a thing of wonder. Had it not been for you, we might not have been exposed to this masterpiece. Thank you!❤️
Elvis every move on stage was with the rythem and timing. I'm sure it has been observed but I like to highlighted. One example when he wipes his eyebrow and drops his hand down with timing, he felt every beat, every note, every detail. 🎶 🎵
Hi David ♥ Longest version of polk salad Annie I've heard, love it. OMGoodness, how ever many times I watch TTWII version I can take my eyes off him for a second. Stunning. I agree I like this version even better. Your face says it all David ♥ your grinning from ear to ear. Thank you David xxx 💝
What a thrilling performance, explosive, oh boy, he had it ALL and knew it and played with it, and he sure challenged the other genuises on stage with him🎶. And what a natural mover, at his best and sexiest with only himself as the choreographer🕺💥. Great!!
The Performance is so Great..nobody looked...sounded or moved like Elvis...he was totally unique...add his looks and Charisma onto that...He certainly was in a league of his own...As I've said before the title of King of RnR under estimates his ability to sing anything, as he was reported to say "I don't sound like anyone "....King of music maybe more Apt...then I'm bias....been hooked on Elvis since the early 1970s
Thanks for a great video. People often wonder what kind of music Elvis would do if he lived longer. He is so adaptable and an innovative. At the beginning of this song he is doing beatbox and almost doing rap. We know Elvis is current. Look at his success with A Little Less Conversation JXL Remix and the Elvis movie soundtrack. Elvis would have evolved as a performer just as he did from 50s to 70s. The recent Christmas special from Graceland shows how many current artists look up to Elvis and realize they wouldn’t be where they are without his paving the way.
He would make those sounds in the recording sessions.Thats how you could tell he was into the music and having a great time!❤❤❤ Loved this Dave! First time seeing this one. Thank You!❤❤❤

When I see any great Elvis performance like hound dog 1956 Milton Berle show if I can dream 1968 or any version of American trilogy or tomorrow never comes who would think if you went back in time to Elvis in school. Dave, another great video! I don't believe I ever saw this performance before. The movie version might have been a bit more polished, but Elvis is really loosely-goosey here. Does show a more fun side of him. Thanks.
If this is the sensual one I saw it’s a shocker. Elvis had to tone that down. With next show. After that I only saw tamed version of him doing this. But original one , I was shocked. He would have been arrested 20 years ago ago. But it was really good. This was a good concert
@@maryannemelenka9250 Did u notice it as well I couldn’t stop laughing it didn’t shock me because Elvis was known for sexual inuendoes I’ve heard him before
For me 1970-1971 I like the best loved his white jumpsuit in the dark light he stands out he is missed so much by he fans but it's great that some of his concerts were filmed so we can watch again and again I never get fed up of see them.
This is a solid performance! I've always liked Elvis's versions of this song throughout the 70's. It seems to me that Polk Salad Annie was one of those songs that Elvis enjoyed, whether from 1970 to 1977.
I love how much you love Elvis! Your the only Elvis channel that I watch. Every single video and short, has been really awesome and fun to watch. You really are the man for sharing your love for Elvis, and I am truly grateful and thankful to have you and your channel to always enjoy. Your a really good guy David. Just felt like saying a real thank you from the bottom of my heart! Always very much appreciated!! I'm not doing very well lately, and your videos are great to help get me through. 🙏⚡⚡
We hard core collectors have owned these unreleased raw footage shows for over 20 years. It’s unbelievable that they still haven’t cleaned, remastered and released these additional shows for a complete TTWII dvd set. So much great stuff still not officially released. Thanks for posting!
This was such a great video! Your edits and comments. You light up watching him.. O can see how much you adore him...I think what you do is a tremendous service to the Elvis fan community. Thank you with all my heart for all you do! 🙏💗
ELVIS THE GREATEST STAR OF ALL TIME AND FOR CENTURIES //// Beloved ELVIS has been the only one in my heart since 1956 // TCB / ELVIS God's gift to us mere mortals!! God bless him!
Your channel is the complete guide to real Elvis fans i have always consider myself a very big Elvis fan but you take it to the highest level thanks for all your complete info
Never saw this version and boy is it good. I agree the one with Elvis in chain suit was so good but I think this definitely tops that version. He was on fire🔥 smoking 🔥 ❤
This footage is great and you can’t top his moves, his vocal banter , I agree 100 with your take on this video , there’s probably so much footage that I hope they clear up and release ❤ Elvis is the mannnn !!!
Yes. What you said about Elvis' best performances being in Vegas. (I know you know this) But look at how crazy the crowds are in Elvis on Tour all the way until his last performances. I've always been astounded with how crazy the audiences are when he does Teddy Bear in particular and his talking portion at the end of the Omaha show in 1977. People are practically climbing on each other to get to him. Then of course in the 50's the crowds are the most insane.
Omg he was so into the beat! This is so darn good! What a performer, noone will ever compare! I love this performance the most! So spontaneous! Ty so funny too! 😊
ONE ELVIS. ONLY ONE. NO amount of imitators can come close. Elvis had it all.
I always love the way Elvis jokes around on stage
I think what made all of this "ELVIS" legendary stuff was because of this dynamic, .....Elvis himself wasnt aware of how great HE was, how talented HE was, how much charisma, style, charm HE had. Our sweet Elvis what a joy is watching him god bless his soul how natural and talented he was weeee looove hiiiimmmm. Wow he is only only one !!!!!!!
Love this performance! Not only did he have rhythm, but good moves. Don’t know anyone that has been able to top that since.
Elvis felt his music!NObody comes close to him in talent looks or performance! He was so gifted❤❤❤❤
So gifted and so beautiful. LOVE YOU ELVIS.❤
Elvis' babble is better than any others' performances combined.......
Lol love that comment!
I'm so glad Baz came out with that movie. He showed the truth Elvis. He was the best entertainer that's ever lived.
Other musicians have commented on Elvis's rhythm capabilities ! He felt everything! Then had to move to it! What a great performance ! Thanks for all you do for this Elvis family . Saw him 4 times , absolutely nothing like it .
I saw a lot of Concerts in Las Vegas from 1969 to 1977 Nobody was as awesome as Elvis Jean from Hollywood California

I love these early 70's performances! Elvis had great humor and energy. I could watch this a million times! Thank you!!
I do.
Thanks for showing and commenting on this version of PSA. It’s awesome.
Wow!! I’ve seen these a hundred times but every time is like seeing it for the first time!!! No one could touch him performance wise! ❤
He really had the moves, did what ever he felt and the band went with him, they never knew what he was going to do next love it 👍❤❤

*Yes, Elvis was an amazing and unique performer during his rather short life! Much* *appreciated Elvis is the Man!*

Cool!
And, I totally agree. I also think the August 12 midnight version of “You’ve Lost That Loving Feeling”, with the encore was phenomenal even for Elvis!

Elvis every move on stage was with the rythem and timing.
I'm sure it has been observed but I like to highlighted.
One example when he wipes his eyebrow and drops his hand down with timing, he felt every beat, every note, every detail. 🎶 🎵

He was so electric and high energy at this time.
What a thrilling performance, explosive, oh boy, he had it ALL and knew it and played with it, and he sure challenged the other genuises on stage with him🎶.
And what a natural mover, at his best and sexiest with only himself as the choreographer🕺💥.
Great!!
It's so hard to decide which of his performances were better or not but this one here, omg ....its amazing!!!!

One of the best performances of E in the '70s

Yes, true! The pastor truly gave an impartial assessment
Thank you so much. Yeah Baz has some big plans coming up with all the Elvis concert footage from 1969 throughout 1972.
you mean 1970, not 1969? there's no professional footage that I know of of 1969?

great to look at this video all together!! really, he was free. in his private life, and on stage. he made his own world...
I first became an Elvis fan when I was 12 years old, back in 1975... Wow, time fly's and I am still pretty!

Superb performance of "Polk Salad Annie" indeed ! This footage must come out and be cleaned up for the fans !

I really love this one.from Japan
Amazing rhythmic his voice no one ever like him!❤❤❤❤
