Suzuka "SU-METAL" Nakamoto: an angel, a (Metal) Queen, a Goddess. ;-) Yes, they are really genuine, humble and lovely girls. - Well, young women now. - The chance of meeting them, let alone talk to them, as a fan - unless you're a journalist from a well-known publication - is exactly zero point zero, though. They don't do meet-and-greets and the sporadic times that they do go out - site-seeing when they're on tour, for instance - they're accompanied by crew and body guards. ;-)
Suzuka Nakamoto is Babymetal to the core. She is a great singer with tremendous talent. I always thought the other 2 including Moa were glorified backup dancers to her vocals. However, what I like about the band is that they use vocals as an additional instrument. They don't even pretend to have a real message, they just jam out to excellent guitar and drum work, then add in the voice like another instrument.
My favorite Babymetal song, and it is not reacted to enough! This song is musically a driving force, and Su has an awesome voice....as always! Thanks for reacting to this song!
Yes. Su has unmatched confidence in her vocal ability. She's completely fearless. If I had to choose a flag bearer for the future of metal I'd hand it to her to lead us into battle. If she really wanted to she could very easily be a solo artist.
i bet some interviewer feels really tense when they asking questions to Babymetal because the girls put so much respect for any interviewer , if you watch their interview video you can feel " Royalty Aura " came out from these girls.
Love the bloke at the beginning at the Wembley 02 show losing it even had the neck brace . Really great performance by Su and the Kami band . Su once said in an interview "Dont think feel " which was also said by Su at the opening of recent L A show . You dont have to know what is said just feel the emotion in the performance. 🤘😁🤘
been watching them for years and never seen this awesome clip. so much feeling you dont even have to understand Japanese. Fucking amazing little girl .
⚡ / 💙 Su finally she gets a solo where she isn't trapped in an eternal nightmare, cherishing a star-crossed love until her body perishes, or having her heart filled by endless rain. Really she deserved a break. : ) This one is joyful and transcendent. And you nailed the pronunciation. A lot of folks want to say it like the Spanish word, but in this case it's from the Italian. BTW, that's not just any pink guitar. : ) That's "Pink-chan", an ESP Snapper-7 Ohmura Custom in Twinkle Pink. One of Takayoshi Ohmura's signature models.
Nope, they don't do meet & greets. But they definitely seem very humble, part of it might very well be: they are world known artists that had never expected to be this famous.
autohmae they are very humble toward other artist. There was an interview with the group Perfume who commented how nervous "the cool girl" (Su Metal) was in shaking their hand
@autohmae That goes back to the beginning. When Su was admitted to the Actors School Hiroshima (ASH) back in 2006 when she was 8 years old, Perfume were already famous alumni. They put out a Greatest Hits album that year.
Rick Wagner when Su first met them she shook their hands for good luck. Later when Baby Metal had become successful in their own right they ran into Perfume again and Su wanted to shake their hands again for the good fortune they brought them. Perfume commented on how nervous Su was to shake their hands and instead of referring to her by her name they called her "The Cool Girl "
@@rickwagner- Yes I also think this is the reason. I wonder what is was like for Suzuka to work with Mikiko. Have you see the recent video of ASH how it is now ?
I hope that this doesn't get taken down. Very few people comment on hard of a song this is to sing. Everyone focuses on the band. This is a virtuoso piece in all aspects. Only virtuosos could perform it.
We will normally steer you away from compilation videos. Fortunately this one is quite well done (some cut out whole verses, rearrange the song or use clips from completely different songs with completely wrong choreo) but it is the exception to the rule - I think the audio here is from Wembley, the video clips have combined the Tokyo Dome and Wembley performances. Your chances of meeting them face to face are slim to none, weighted very heavily towards none whatsoever - they don't do meet & greets. There are a couple more Su-metal solo songs that are covers ('White Love' and 'Tamashii No Rufuran'), but there is one more official Su-metal solo and, unusually, it is similar in style to 'Amore' (many will tell you it is better, I like them both equally). That song is 'Akatsuki'. The performance most will point you towards is again from Budokan, but if you can find it the Wembley performance was a special one. However, there is another version of 'Akatsuki' that she sang at Legend 1997 (her 16th birthday) with just piano and string accompaniment. If 'No Rain, No Rainbow' had you in tears bring a big box of tissues with you for that one. I will try to find links for you.

They are really hard to get details on or anything other than performance shots. No social media, no meet and greets. In some ways it makes the little bits we do get in interviews etc even better. Basically they are really nice girls who really appreciate the fans and are always very humble. You know - totally adorable. I saw a video recently of a recent concert where Moa took the solo for Headbanger. It was totally awesome but I can’t find the clip I saw (on Instagram) on UA-cam. If I can find it I’ll post as it was one of the best. Anyone have it?
