The Marine Corps thing was real. DARPA was trying to make an AI for the battlefield to fight off enemy’s so they had marines come in for a week to train the AI. At the end of the week it was time for the test. Some of the marines did summersaults, some were “walking like a tree” and 2 got a cardboard box and walked up to the AI and were giggling the entire time. The AI didn’t recognize any of the marines as “actual soldiers”
