they need about 5-6 hours of direct sunlight per day. Otherwise, they get long and spindly like this. It does matter how the corms are planted. The scales should point upward. A tap root will come out of the bottom. This is a very forgiving plant as long as you don;t over water. These do much better in a shallow wide pot. The roots will stay fairly shallow.
what direction should the bulb be planted? ...some look like a teardrop, round down or pointy side down. Pinecone looking the scales pointing up or down? Thanks you! (in advance)
Any direction! 😅 I just push them into the dirt not even paying attention to the shape, they’ll grow the same way 🤗 Just don’t plant them too deep into the pot, maybe like 1-2 inches in. I noticed when I planted too deep they took longer to grow and got root rot since they would stay wet compared to the bulbs higher up.
