Hey Daniel and David--appreciate the work you guys put into with the podcast. Just remember that it was a scrimmage and the Rams were playing without three of their starting offensive linemen due to injury.
Imagine a world where the Chargers top 10 players play at least 14 games.... If they can, I believe they are poised for a deep push with that coaching staff
I’d argue it’s worth bringing another veteran into the QB room so that our WRs and TEs get good practice and playmaking opportunities while Herbert’s out. I just don’t know if Stick will help our WR room get better if he can’t get the ball to them consistently.
So let me get this straight… you want them to bring in a QB, who would need to learn the entire system only for him to fill in for 2-3 weeks? Stick advances the progression of installing the offense just fine. If you bring in another guy, you’re just setting the team back.
My biggest concern for a few years has been backup QB. I get that Stick and Herbo get along great and they really like their QB room, but, Stick is not very good. He is a great person, good team guy, and just not very good at the NFL level, never has been. Not sure I want to eat a lot of cap space on a backup QB, but I am sure I want to win a Super Bowl. Remember Earl Morrel anyone? He was the backup that led the Miami Dolphins to 11 straight wins, two in the playoffs, during the 1972 undefeated season when Bob Griese went down with injury early in the season. A quality backup is more important than ever in the modern NFL, and as much as I hate to say it, Stick is not that.
@@haydengobel NOW do you see value in bringing in Tannehill for a couple of weeks? We all saw the same thing: the offense can’t improve or even practice well with Stick at QB. These next few weeks are valuable growing time, especially for the WRs, so get these guys someone who can get them the ball!
The problem with really getting a good back up QB is their starters on any other team so I think the mentality is get Easton as good as we can and game plan properly and I’m pretty confident with him in there with the new coaching staff.
..agree ..this level of competition is no joke ..but THIS coaching is up to the task ..Stick is a decent journeyman ..and will be fine in this new ‘run first’ scheme ..he does need the reps tho ..and with Herbert’s injury this will provide the needed first team practice that will help in the long run ..
@@ckobo84 well honestly, he knows he’s not going to get a whole lot better and he’s not really not starter material for any team in the NFL and let’s face it if they did have a really really good back up he would be a starter on another team so you gotta take what you can get and hope the coaching staff can work through his deficiencies so to speak lol
I've been confused as to why Easton Stick was highly valued or still on the team. It feels like we've seen what his game is like. I don't think he could win a game. He should improve taking first team snaps, but why not give Max Duggan a shot?
At the risk of sounding “hostile” I don’t understand why you guys keep rehashing characteristics of the old Chargers teams? Sheeesh . Harbaugh is here now! This team has a totally new identity it is because of great coaching
Hi guys, everyday listetner, long time Charger fan. Joey Bosa. Yes he is a beast, BUT we have seen this before. I pray we get 9-10 solid games, but that may be a stretch. My opinion, they should have kept Allen, send Bosa packing. I hope I hope I hope. Easton is a worry... He is a journeyman QB. I'm sure the Chargers are concerned, don't wait to long to make a move!

welcome back Daniel, congrats on the growing fam!
Finally, we have a real DC that knows how to use the pieces.
It feels good to have a real coaching staff with proven records.
Good morning, gentlemen.
Good morning!

@@smh0825 I think if you have to bring in tannehill you’re in for a losing season anyway, so no, not really
It’s the difference between 5-12 and 6-11
Easton Stick needs to go. Year after year he disappoints. Idk why they keep signing him.
I agree, love the guy but he’s just not him unfortunately
You are locked on chargers 😊
Oakley o!!
Drafting the Chargers D/ST in all my fantasy leagues. Bolt up fam⚡️⚡️⚡️
Draft a Charger in every round dude! Just do it!
I just want Bosa to be healthy more than 4 games. It's mack who is holding down the pass rush.

A journeyman ... that's played his entire career on one team 😂

Just in case..we really need to go get a real backup quarterback..its a 17 game season and we need a solid backup
Hell ya!

GOOD MORNING DANIEL AND DAVID, GO CHARGERS, HOW IS MAX DUGGAN DOING ON THE OFFENSIVE SIDE 🤔, I HOPE HE IS DOING BETTER TO HELP THE CHARGERS WIN GAMES?
Where is Spiller? And why is he still on the team?

For context. To help illustrate the differences.
Get Tannehill
Love to hear it! 11 hats locked in on the ball! Lessgooo ⚡️⚡️⚡️
Could see Max get some reps in the preseason .
Caring about practice is funny.
You know what is not funny? Your fuckin comment. Get out of here red glove man. Positive vibes only. #gobolts

How is he a journeyman? Where else has his journey taken him, he's played on only one team dude. He's a drifter that stays in one spot 😂
