I've noticed they've got music in front of them and not in uniform. Obviously this is one of the first times they've played the song. All musicians have to begin somewhere.
Ah, the 70's! Flared jeans, skinny girls, children put in harm's way during the filming of crappy movies...good times! In 1977 I was in a high school band just like this one, except we never got run over by horses or crazy cars during any of our practice sessions.
I loved your comment! I, too, grew up in the 1970s and was nine years old in 1977. I remember seeing this movie on TV. It made an impression on me back then. Looking at it nowadays, it’s not that great of a movie. But still a cult classic nonetheless. And still enjoyable to watch.
I recall once when they aired this on either CBS or abc during the scene where the car had the group cornered in the cemetery---thd scene cut to a wooden cross at the entrance which explained why the car wouldn't enter--and then they cut it out in later showings--doesnt even appear in the DVD.
It first aired on NBC prime time, and yes you're right. They did have extra scenes during that viewing like when lauren and marge was debating who was the fastest to get to the sheriff's car. I have it on VHS.
What I didn't like about this movie is that they didn't show how the car was made or where it came from. It just seems out of nowhere. I thought this was a flaw on the part of the producers.
My vote goes to Christine. She has more powers like regeneration. The Car does have a higher body count but it’s still I the favor of Christine to survive.
As I recall, grandstands wouldn't stop this car. It smashed through everything. Besides, you need to get to a cemetery with plenty of crosses, etc. No crosses on the grandstands. Even in the good ole US of A ...
That is what men do. We get on our horses and ride ride into danger without further thoughts or expectations, just get the job done and try to save as many others as possible.
The car was invulnerable, like Superman. No kryptonite except Christian symbolism. Not a single person thought to say a prayer or grab a few bottles of holy water the entire movie.

The band leader is 70's gorgeous!
Agree 100%.
She had exquisite airbags.
The band leader had exquisite airbags.
First thing I noticed too 😂
😝😝😝🤭😄
How foul you are.
1977 was the year of peak flares on jeans. Wow. Miss those days.
😂😂😂
Just when you thought it was safe to go back in the car wash...
Car thinks the marching band's performance is awful so it kills them.
😂😂😂!
@@Kw1161 Don't blame it I could fart a better tune
Lmfao literally 👌
Exactly! This band is horrible.

1:26 that glare in the distance
That's The Lincoln Car. 😱
Oh Wait. I'm 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗖𝗮𝗿.
Jaws as a car. Oh, 1970's, you slay me😅😂
I read a story about this scene. When the Car jumps onto the field it broke the frame of the car
It broke the heavy front bumper there's a story about it on it with director
This is one movie where the car really is the star.
I recall once when they aired this on either CBS or abc during the scene where the car had the group cornered in the cemetery---thd scene cut to a wooden cross at the entrance which explained why the car wouldn't enter--and then they cut it out in later showings--doesnt even appear in the DVD.

Next they'll make a movie called "The Tesla" where the car catches on fire after driving over a speed bump
😂
It could be called a hot time in the Tesla Tonight
😂😂😂
🤣🤣🤣💯
And FSD gone full sentient...
Someone gotten flattened during all that commotion.
Run with your tuba kid! So you can go faster that way!😂
The 1970s had a number of 'evil car' movies. The Cars that Ate Paris, for example. The 1980s had only 'Christine' that I recall.
And in 1990 we had Wheels of Terror.
How about "The Wraight"
@@sportivo_DD3 You mean "The Wraith".
@@garrettsmith2654 yes
Billy, let’s stay in the middle of the track so the car can’t get us!
The horses can feel whenevrr a danger is near, that's why they panicked with the approach of the car
3:45 the car smacked the bass drum! That does it!
1:03 don’t worry, I’ll hold them gently but firmly.
I’ll bear that in mind 😂 cheers Margie - can’t be that stern / firm with them as long as you’re doing it gently 😅🤣
And, this one time, at Band Camp…
a scene that proves that even before the appearance of silicone there were women with REALLY impressive... figures!.. 😊
2:46 the dude got ran over by a horse 😂
Well, what can you expect when you walk into a stampede ...
Wait, Christine wasn’t the first of these kinds of movies?
There is a movie called "Duel" that came out in 1971, similar to this except with a truck. I haven't seen it yet, but clips of it look really good
Duel is two hunan drivers upset with each other while movies like Christine and The Car are supernatural.
When the Devil turns road rage
What I didn't like about this movie is that they didn't show how the car was made or where it came from. It just seems out of nowhere. I thought this was a flaw on the part of the producers.
Great movie
Someone needs to make a new movie called The car vs. Christine to see which is better
The Car solos Christine.
@@pennywise5095 no they see themselves as enemies and seeing as threat
My vote goes to Christine. She has more powers like regeneration. The Car does have a higher body count but it’s still I the favor of Christine to survive.
This was a great movle
2:44 someone notice the guy hit by the horse
Augh back in the good old days of movie tax write offs…😂!
The mechanical remake of JAWS …
Dude got decked by the horse hahahaha
Whens the remake coming?
Yes, lets run to the cliffs that are a mile away across the desert instead of up into the grandstands that are 50 feet away! RUN KIDS!!!!
As I recall, grandstands wouldn't stop this car. It smashed through everything.
Besides, you need to get to a cemetery with plenty of crosses, etc. No crosses on the grandstands. Even in the good ole US of A ...
love this movie
The power of Leonard Rosenman.
THE 70'S WERE THE GOOD OLD DAYS. DISCO AND COLUMBIAN GOLD. UNFORTUNATELY THEY WILL NEVER COME BACK AGAIN
Disco and reggie? Good riddance.
That is what men do. We get on our horses and ride ride into danger without further thoughts or expectations, just get the job done and try to save as many others as possible.

If only Monty python was there, they could have saved them with atomic mutations, like a giant cat or hand.
The car vs Christine who wins
The car, obviously.
the car can win against Christine
Duh Christine wins hands down. The Car does get a higher body count but Christine has more powers like regeneration.
@@DarthVoxyn The Car is quite indestructible also I actually talked to them in character ai, and I became friends with these two vehicles...

Surprised a company has not offered a few reproduction "cars". Modern high horsepower, suspension, etc. and the mandatory horn!!!🤗
