- It’s been about two months since I was in San Francisco for the SF Pen Show but it’s never too late to share some of my stationery adventures in the city. In this short stationery vlog, we’re going to walk around Valencia Street and then journal about our day in three journal spreads! #sfpenshow #stationeryvlog #jobsjournal

Love your POV and approach. Makes me feel less overwhelmed about tackling and completing my travel journal from my Spring Europe trip. TYFS! ❣️✨
Yes! The goal is slow and steady! Thanks for watching!
Sneaky photo 😂 miss our IRL chats!
LOL the parinig at the end LOVE THAT everyone sub to Job’s channel 📺😤
MISS YA BESTIE!
I live in England but was in Boston MA for years and we try to go back once a year to reconnect with friends and because we love that city. The Top Drawer shop on Newbury street has become a fav (it wasn’t there when I lived there) and shopping there has been put into our travel budget.
Was the store you couldn't remember the name of called post.script perhaps?
The store at 5:11 is called Open Editions.
Miss San Fran….was there 26 years…..a lot of this is new!
I don’t hate when people clap when the plane lands either 😅. I definitely don’t partake but I don’t mind a little joy, even if it’s not warranted, ha.
Next time you’re in sf you should check out Fog City Flea at the Ferry Building. One of my favorite places and some great city views over there (there’s a Señor Sisig at the Ferry Building too!)
Oooh good to know! I think I've been there briefly but didn't get to explore! Thank you for the recommendation!
What rubber date stamp do you use? I've been looking for one that is the same size and writes the date in the month, day, year order.
It's from Trodat! Hope this helps!
Thanks for sharing your travel journaling spreads!! Looks like you made a lot of fun memories! Would be a dream to go to the event :)
Thanks so much, friend!
SF looks like a really fun trip! And I tackled my NYC trip into three pages in my journal, just like I did my graduation :)
Oooh that's amazing! Congratulations on your graduation!
Hi !!! with wich printer you use in this video ?
I got the photos printed out at CVS!
Hi Job. I don't really do lists or how I'm feeling. I like to write down quotes. What I said, what my companions said, what complete strangers said. It's funny what you hear. And I think you end up hearing more when you start doing this, if that makes sense. Cheers!
Super cool insight, Amy! Will try this during my next trip!
Cool! Prepare to laugh. I usually laugh when I'm writing them down, and when I read them again in the future. 😂@@JobsJournal
But what baggu did you get!
I got the large crescent bag and I'm loving it!
@@JobsJournal oh it is such a perf lil bag, I have one in the periwinkle color and it is deceptively big!
I hope you enjoy it :)
For me, I am several years behind on documenting trips however, I do take a travelers notebook with me and I take all the notes every day I journal exactly what we did and anything funny or special feelings and then I have another envelope which I save stickers or maps or receipts or handouts anything that would be relevant that I might want to use later and then I get a fresh new travelers notebook and I make that one book about that trip but sometimes it’s within three months sometimes it’s within three years. I’m not consistent.
I always enjoy your vlogs. A minor FYI-it’s not “the BART,” it’s just BART. Nice to have met you at the SF Pen Show!
I am dizzy! Wish i were there! Thanks for sharing!
Love watching your shopping and journaling videos. I feel the same way about waiting to journal after I get home from a trip - I need to think about it a bit first. Theirs no wrong way, but glad to hear I’m not the only one who does it! 😂
Guilty as a long time lurker! I really enjoyed this video! The music went so well! Never used a planner system before, and now I'm convinced I need to give this a shot.
My first video of yours was your sf stationery shops💜I feel like this brought me full circle!
FYI, there is a top drawer on Burlingame Ave now. It’s closer to the hotel at the pen show.
Love it when people clap for a safe landing! Especially after a long flight :)
omg!!!! Valencia St is my favorite place in SF because of all the cute shops, but especially because of Dog Eared Books where I do a lot of book shopping, including my copy of Less!!!! The world is so small and funny sometimes 💖
Oh we're book twins! Yay! Thanks so much for watching!
I used to finish my travel journals ASAP after returning home, but this year I've taken more time to process and enjoy the month or two of catching up on it afterwards. Sometimes I don't want that particular experience to "end" in my head (even though it already ended a while ago), so I think I hang onto the travel journal longer. Always love seeing your journaling process - thanks for sharing!
Yes! I completely agree! It feels like a way to continue the trip even when it has long finished! Thanks so much for watching, friend!
Beautiful Spread! It was lovely meeting you at SF Pen Show :)
I love Dog Eared too! :) You should definitely try Craftsman and Wolves (pastries and other baked goods), Often Wander (candles), Four Barrel Coffee, and Shizen for AMAZING vegan sushi next time you're on Valencia :)
Oooh! Will definitely note these down!
So, unpopular opinion - if you clap when a plane lands you should clap when a barista makes you coffee, you should clap when a dog groomer does a great shampoo & cut, you should clap when a trawler brings in its nets etc. pilots have to undergo training to do their job, but so do many other occupations - if you clap one person for doing the job they are paid to do correctly, you should extend the same courtesy to anyone doing their job correctly
I wish I could give everyone an applause if I could and had the opportunity too. We work so hard in life and in our jobs and it’s so cool when other humans choose to uplift other humans. I also think the clapping upon landing isn’t so much about the pilot doing their job but the enjoyment of reaching the destination too. That’s just my opinion though! *clapping for your comment too since you took time out of your day to watch this video and to comment*
I love it when people clap too! 🥰
hey job! i love your videos and i am a subscriber - lol! i don't know if anyone told you, but the non-traveler's TNs are from the company paper republic who produce handmande leather notebooks and journals. topdrawer is their us partner. they are located in vienna.
Yes, I've come across Paper Republic before :) I just hoped that Topdrawer would carry TRC since the TRAVELER'S notebook originated from them! Hope this clears up my thought process in the video! Thanks for sharing and watching!
What a fun trip! Thanks for sharing!
The unnamed store with cute prints and cards and stationery is open edition in the mission!
Ooh! Thank you for sharing this with me!
Love seeing travel journalling spreads from you again Job! When travelling I tend to write some memories down in the moment but then do the majority when I’m back home. I agree that completing the journal can feel like closing the chapter on the trip, but you get to relive it through the journalling process and then you have your completed journal full of memories to look back through 😊 Ali Edwards talks a lot about including both facts and feelings in journalling for scrapbooking and she has a few recent videos about it on her UA-cam channel which might be of interest. Thanks so much for sharing!
I love that idea! That way you don't forget anything! Oooh will check out Ali Edwards' channel for sure! Thank you for watching Samantha!
