Wow, I have the Kakimori brass nib and it's nearly impossible to write with normally. I'm surprised you were so successful with the steel nib right out of the box... makes me regret my brass nib choice, ah well! Lovely video, I love going shopping with you! Wait, was that tearing paper thing a new video transition? That was awesome!!!!
Omg! Thank you for introducing me to the Kakimori Nib, I now have a dream item to get for my upcoming birthday. I plan to use it with watercolor for my painting.
Hey Job! I've watched quite a few of your vids and just had to subscribed! I really love when you take us shopping with you...even window shopping. I love seeing the items available in Canada, as well as, the surrounding neighborhoods. You have a great channel!!
Just discovered this channel and it's lovely to see YVR folk :) I've never actually been to these shops because they seem like such a trek from RC, but this is making me want to go!
What a treat, Sunday morning, a cup of coffee with fresh hot milk and the spring sun in my garden and... the sweet, tender voice of Job guiding us through his journaling. Love to so more swatching and writing with the new ink and Kakimori pen . Love and Light from Europe Job 💞✨
So jealous you have so many stationery store options near you. I have to drive 90 minutes to see only a smattering of TN or online. So I definitely love getting to "shop" with you!
I’m in Vancouver as well and I love watching you walking around town 😁 it’s just way too dangerous for me (and my finances) to be in these stores, I’m glad you’re doing it for me 😂
That nib looks so cool! I’ve never seen one like that. I also have to admit that I’m glad to hear I’m not the only floor journaler. There is just so much space on the floor to spread out and relax. Tables you have to worry about all your pens rolling off lol
Best video to start in a Sunday morning! Best combination of my faves: stationery shops 🥰 going to a café😍, journaling🤩. For me the perfect way to be present in the moment and in a flow state at the same time. Love it! Thanks Job!
Thanks for this eclectic video. I like going along with different experiences. I DO want a Kakimori nib…I’m on the list to be notified if and when Yoseka gets some glass ones in. Haven’t found one anywhere else on line in US.
Ahh I want to go on a solo journaling date! What a fun idea - my birthday is coming up, maybe I’ll go to Boston and treat myself. Thank you for bringing us along to the different stores!
Hi Job! Love your channel. I don't know if you've done this video before, but I would love to see a summary of the types of inserts available for the TN - the numbered ones, the yearly unnumbered ones, and the limited edition ones, because I'm new to the whole TN world and I am honestly so confused as to what Traveler's Company issues yearly. Are stickers sold separately or do they only come together with a new TN? What about the pencil boards - what kind of limited edition ones do they have, does each limited edition TN have a corresponding pencil board? How do you change the elastic in the TN cover? What is that little nubby thing on the top? How do I add additional bookmark strings? What types of stationery do Traveler's Company issue - I've seen pencils and pens but are they limited edition ones or are they location-specific, how many iterations of the brass pen have there been? Are they fountain pens or ballpoint pens? What about the stuffed bears, what are they all about? How about the stamps - I know you can buy some rubber stamps, but I've also seen self-inked stamps that seem to only be available to stamp on something in a specific store - is that available everywhere? What differentiates a partner store like Paper Ya compared to a store that just sells TNs? Do Traveler's Company have limited edition TNs every year? Do they cost the same everywhere? When and how do they announce this kind of information? How about the brass charms, are they limited edition? How about conditioning the leather - does that change the colour of it? Questions like that... I know this would be a huge video with a lot of research and info needed, but I have never seen a video on TNs like this and I think it would be super useful for newbies. But don't worry if this video idea is not your speed! :) Separately, I want to share my joy with you, I have been umming and ahhing over getting a TN for absolutely years and one of the things I regretted was not ever getting my hands on an olive one... well guess what? At the start of this month I magically somehow managed to find a new olive TN for a reasonable price on a resale app here in Hong Kong! I honestly think it was meant to be... I mean that it was just destined for me, if that makes sense? Because I had *just* decided to make the leap and was considering one of the 2022 limited edition ones, but honestly I am a plain jane and I would much rather start with a "basic" journal. I'm so very happy and content and I have been collaging and journalling in it with your videos on repeat. I don't think I will be diving fully into buying everything out there for the TN because I'm on a strict budget right now, but also I have been enjoying making my own inserts and finding ways to hack things for my beloved TN. One of my hacks is to use thin white jewellery elastic as my connecting bands, because I don't like the thickness of the TN brand elastics (and the no-spend thing). Anyway this is a *really* long comment for someone who never comments on videos, so thank you for reading all of this, and allow me to tell you how relaxing I find your voice and your vibe, and I hope that you can be kind to yourself because we all go down that negative thought process at times. I wish you could see yourself the way I view your videos, because you come across as gentle and positive and happy and calm in them! I wish all that for you! PS. Another fun video idea you might consider is trying to collage upside down or only while looking at the reflection in a mirror. That might be hilarious and original!
Beautiful video, Job! You’re my favorite UA-camr❤. All within 5-ish miles of my house in Portland OR are quite a number of high-end stationery stores. I’ve been to a couple, but my favorite store of all is Columbia Art & Drafting-not exactly a stationery store but, as the name says, aims at drafting, then art supplies & even office supplies. They have just enough fountain-pen items for me, plus interesting rulers that I can use for sewing and quilting. I only go shop when I have to replace my .005 Sakura Micron. I’m constantly breaking the tube-tip on the darned thing. Kinda thinking I unconsciously break it so I can go shop for nibs and impulse items😅. When you’re back to spending and won’t feel guilty impulse buying, check out a drafting/art shop. Just writing this is making me feel impulsive 😆😅! ❤❤❤
I have the brass nib and I'm still getting used to it. Not sure yet if I can write well with it, but it is supposed to be great for sketching. Kayann Aukerman just did a video on it.
I love to live vicariously through your stationery shopping vlogs! Stationery shops don't exist by me 😢 I have to travel at least 1.5 hours for a decent one. I'm so happy you got a kakimori pen! It's on my list cus I notoriously break my glass/plastic pens too 😂
i felt like i was with a friend watching this vlog...loves these videos you make. Question: what is the waterproof pen you used to journal? Forgive me if it was mentioned and I missed it.
Book recommendation for you: everyday matters by Danny Gregory. A book that 100% supports the idea of drawing frequently and all the mundane (which in any ways is ultimately the most special and important) things in a day. Really enjoy your channel. 💕
Could you do voiceovers instead of text at the bottom of the screen? I have a difficult time seeing what you're showing AND reading text. 😊 Great vlog.😊
I do love to see this sort of videos of yours! A little bit of vlog and a little bit of journalling.
More of these kind of trip please :). I will visit these stores too soon.
Thanks for another fun journaling video!
More volg like this, please, thank you! I like your spearmint ink by the way.

Omg that kakimori nib looks so cool!
Absolutely loved this style of video! Thank you for sharing! 😁
This was perfect! I enjoy this kind of video very much.
I love your shopping videos! And what a nice pick that green ink is! It's beautiful!
I enjoyed going with you on your shopping trip. Thanks for the fun time. Great journal spread. I love this format.
I went to those stationery shops while visiting Vancouver today based on your recs! Thank you, it was lovely and I found what I was looking for 😉🥰
Fabulous trip once again….. life is short and we must slow down and enjoy the warm sunny days!
This was a great combination: shopping vlog, haul, and journaling. 👍. Your ink choice was a good one, that green is very pretty.

Lovely drawings and painting!
Ooh! Ooh! Had to go to Vaness and order some kakimori samples-very cool inks!! PS nice spread!
Oh my goodness..that cafe journalling sesh looked so good. Vibes.😊✏️📚👏

They have two inks on my bucket list - soda glass and apricot tea. And if you like green, their lichen is so beautiful.

I love seeing you do all the things! It was really cool to learn about the nib!
Hi Job! Love your shopping trips! Any stores located in Montreal that you would recommend? 🌺
Great video. I’d love to see some passport to spreads.

I have looked for the Kakimori Dip Pen, but can’t find it in Germany… :-/ But it´s on my wishlist for sure. :D Thanks for sharing, lovely video !
5:04 I'd thought they released a Notebook in Weeks size that I didn't know about 😅
What did ya get on your passport? Glad to see it used and enjoyed!
Loved the video but ‘whoa’ what did you do to your special edition passport?

Very nice 👍

Hi @Miche’s Paper Nook. The waterproof pen I think you’re referring to is a Micron Sakura. Hope this helps 👍

Which app do you use to do edits? And thumbnail? Just curious they are so preety
I like how YT sometimes is and success me the best vids to watch. I like what you do, now I have to watch you more too ^__^
