Queen of dip flu here! Every symptom imaginable I get! I mask 😷, I use fairy glamour because I’m also horribly allergic to hema. I use a gel top coat (aimeile hema free). I will be ordering a dust collector for filing because breathing in these product particles is not healthy.
I’m a gal who has a zillion dip powders, gels, stamping everythings, you name it! I love nail stuff, unfortunately, I’m horribly allergic. My recommendation is use a dust collector, mask, use hema free products and keep as much of it off of your skin.

Also I suffer from dip flu and I absolutely hateeeee it. I have found 2 companies with liquids that do not give me dip flu. I use Dip Nailed It liquids and Color My World Dips Odorless liquids. I love this mani! The colors are beautiful. Did you happen to swatch that third dip? It looks like a color I'd love.
I've only tried one Gelish product, a gel polish that I was not at all happy with. It's a great color but it takes 5 our 6 coats to get even coverage. I got so frustrated with it! That's when I started looking into dips. I wonder if they've improved any.

Gelish was my first dip kit that I got! I still use it for swatching. I feel like it does get contaminated easily if you activate. I didn't even think about skipping that step. I also think it has a very fast dry time so it was a little difficult to learn with. I have had it dry before I even got the powder on sometimes haha.

I found low odor/odorless liquids from Color My World (Etsy shop) and triple D. Both did a great job, didn’t cause me dip flu (I get it really bad, like a week long complete flu nasty nose & cough).
The triple D base doesn’t dry as fast but the top coat seems to dry in a normal time, I wait 5 minutes to be safe and it’s completely dry. I don’t remember how long color my world’s base takes to dry between coats but the top seems to dry in a normal length. I have been dipping for a year and a half and discovered I had dip flu pretty early on. Since then I have gotten a respirator (they're on Amazon, not very expensive) mask that people.use for painting/fumes. That helps me. I make sure to leave the mask on until the fumes clear (15 mins) or leave that room entirely before taking off the mask. I tried gel prev and developed an allergy to that, too, even HEMA free bothers me. 🙄 I have to be very careful with application but I do use gel topcoat because I don't like dip topcoat.

Let me begin by saying i love my gelish dip and all my nail harmony products, i haven't and can't bring myself to try another dip system. BUT.....
DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THE DIP TOP COAT IT IS THE DEVIL IN A BOTTLE! Seriously i used to have 3 bottles on the go to get thru one hand, with 3 bottles of brush cleaner so i could top coat the other hand a few hours later.. you can wipe that activator till the cows come home and the top coat brush will STILL harden quicker and stiffer than Ron Jeremy!! What you should do with the top coat is a video using it in place of the base coat cuz it is bloody fantastic for that! It's so much thinner and doesn't dry in seconds in the warmer weather leaving a really shtty patchy powder pick up like the base coat does.. and the bottle of top coat won't be murdered by the xpress powder like the base coat, I've lost 5 bottles of base coat to the xpress powder within 7 months.. now i use the top coat as the base for xpress and only use the base as base with their original powders and I'm on a winning streak 😄
If you do attempt the top coat DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES breathe too close to it, have a fan or air con on, let anyone come close to you or open a door to cause a draft and do not move!! It will dry patchy 😬
Gelish dip has given me some pretty severe dip flu in the early days, i worked out it's filing off the base coat application in the middle of the whole process, slightly alleviated by wearing a face mask while filing, but ultimately does literally not occur if I just activate and file without the extra slather of base coat 🤷‍♀️
Here's a funny story for ya - i got the largest bottle of the prohesion monomer for a ridiculously cheap price super excited to use the original dip powders with it, except even after letting my trial beads sit for a coupla days they were still pliable and i could not work out wtf was going on.. i rang my national educator and she says "it's still dip powder you've still gotta use the activator for it to harden" ... i felt like the biggest idiot 🤣

They usually launch in the land down under about 6 months after the US release.. it's going to be a long wait for that blue 😍
