- This was the initial public launch of the Super Overly Large Octopus. It took place at the Berkeley Kite Fest on July 25, 2009. The inflatable kite was manufactured in New Zealand. Its head is about 40 feet (10 meters) square
SOLO is 300' long, at a cost of about 60 thousand..
It was teathered to two Bobcat tractors.
Wow that is a lot of money to make solo
I have never seen a kite this big but he is so huge he looks so good
That takes a lot of work to lift solo of the grass and it’s especially easy to bring it to the ground
Very nice liked n subscribed
The kite is the biggest kite in the world
This octo is a beauty made by Peter lynn kites. I hate to burst your bubble but its not even close to worlds biggest. Look up mega ray kite. Its a sky filling blue stingray.
@@JakeTheKiteGuy Ho I see now
the blue stingray kite is the biggest kite because it has a huge group of people to lift the kite up
ebay has some nice ones for sale, cool aren't they.
Do you first attach a single kite to the back of the head to lift the head into the sky??
It's pretty much a really expensive windsock, more than a kite because it probably wouldn't get airborne without the help of a pilot kite attached to it as evidenced here!
nice
Great, can i have the build plan of this kite? I really want to make this
I takes a lot of effort to build a big kite
