Sometimes I wonder if Hasbro intentionally includes inaccuracies with the most iconic characters, that they know are at the top of most collectors' wish lists, so that it gives them an excuse to sell another version later with a minor upgrade.

Bartoo is pretty much Slave Leia for Droids

Have Hasbro ever released a 'destroyed' R2-D2 from Episode IV? I mean they have released several C-3PO figures in various states of disrepair, so why not R2? They could market it as:
    'Vader's Target R2-D2'.
What line does the 3.75" R2 with all the working features come from? I bought one for £1 from a yard sale, a few years ago, and he's possibly my favourite R2 of all.
The R-1, I have seen referred to, many, many years ago, as a 'Reactor Drone', and it's method of moving about, was via a snail-like foot. How that would work in reality, I have no idea. I prefer the idea of a small Caterpillar track system, myself.
A nice figure, though, and one that begs for more weathering.

No, they've never made a Vader's Target R2. Interesting idea, though.

One was sold in the Legacy Collection in the Droid Factory line in a two-pack with a pilot Luke. It wasn't given a specific Vader-Damaged name, but the figure turned out well enough to me.

Hmm, interesting. I was not aware than a figure like it existed.

the R1-G4 figure has an inaccuracy ---the "antenna" on its dome is a coupling device and a severed piece of cable that the jawas used to lower him from the sandcrawler. You can see that clearly in some of the film shots in this video. the actual droid had no antenna on its dome.

Wasn't R1-G4 redone in the Galaxy's edge Droid Depot set with a name change? Its based on the same prop design with the same markings etc.

Why hasn’t Hasbro done an R2 version of him when he got shot on Endor, with all the gadgets sticking out?

Good video. I know many collectors share your dread over film inaccurate figures but it never bothered me at the time of PotF2. (Modern toy lines do grind my gears however with major inaccuracies because the business has changed so much since then.)
Not saying what is the right way to play BUT my play pattern wasn't "re-enact scenes from the movie with your figs" instead it was "What happens AFTER RotJ? What adventures does the gang go on next and which figures will be involved? Film accurate toys wasn't a priority at that age for me. For ex...I could only afford one Han Solo at the time, and it was the Carbonite Han missing his vest from the 90s. Every time I played, Han's character would somehow get his black vest battle damaged and he'd have to go without.
Jedi Luke from thar series is still my favorite SW figure despite the mistakes. He's awesome.

As a 6” scale collector it’s frustrating because we most likely wont be getting back ground characters like droids/aliens. I went the Bandai model kit route to get bar tender artoo. It was nice of Hasbro to finally fix the scale of astromechs, but I still think the Bandai kits look better. As for your slave Leia video, I’m currently in the process of cobbling her together with parts from 2 black series figures and a 3D print of head, torso and accessories. I’m positive that is a figure Hasbro will never release again. And I refuse to pay late tax on a derpy slave Leia.

Are you no longer doing this series?

Sometimes they get it right the first time. The original Luke Jedi is perfect, and my favorite. Adding too much articulation just makes a figure look too chopped up. Another example of "getting it right the first time"is GI Joe Baroness. The first one is perfect, and every version after that has looked like crap.
