- The Most Underrated Gwen Stacy Adaptation - Spectacular Spider-Man's Gwen Stacy is underrated and underused. Whether the Night Gwen Stacy Died was adapted from the Amazing Spider-Man Comics or whether she'd stay alive, her story was cut short and we were robbed.

She wasn't going to die IN HIGH SCHOOL but she more than likely would have died in the planned college age movies. Where did this ridiculous misconception that greg wasn't going to kill her even come from? Gregs reaction to audiences thinking Gwen would die when venom kidnapped her at the end of season 1 was basically "no of course she's not going to die Gwen doesn't die in highschool"

I LOVE Gwen in Spectacular Spider-Man. She's such a great character and one of my favourite love interests for Peter. Not only that but she's my favourite version of Gwen (besides Gwen in the Amazing movies and Spider Verse movies)

Definitely. I don't see Peter hooking up with MJ over Gwen without screwing something up. Especially since they confirmed Gwen wasn't going to die.
Well put. I mean if many versions of Peter can have Mary Jane, Black Cat or even Chat as their love interests why not Gwen? Besides who's to say Peter and MJ can't just be friends in other universes? Ultimate Spider-Man (tv series) showed that MJ and Peter can just simply remain friends. Yeah sure there were some implications of them being more than friends but because the show ended we never saw it go any further. What I'm trying to say is, if most universes had Peter be with MJ it'd be really boring which is why I'm always interested to see Peter's other love interests he's had over the years in other universes
@@SuperWarrior64 Plus MJ as the main love interest has been done to death. And if the recent comics are anything to go by, they aren't exactly doing justice to that pairing. Gwen was the original main love interest for Peter, Stan Lee himself intended so. And not a lot of people know this, but he actually based Gwen on his own wife.
@@ryanbrown7489 I didn't know Gwen was based off his actual wife. That aside after looking at the recent 616 comics Peter should just let go of MJ at this point and maybe move on with Black Cat. Oh wait he can't because apparently Spidey being miserable = relatability

If Gwen Stacy is to be introduced in Spider-Man 4 then I hoped her relationship with Peter Parker will be similar to the one depicted from the spectacular show and amazing movies that captures their chemistry perfectly I hoped we get something like that similarly in the movie somehow once they've casted her
Also, if they do, I hope they won't kill her off, as a non Spider-Gwen Gwen Stacy staying alive and maybe eventually marrying Peter is something I personally would like to see.

If I had to do a Top 10 worst things Marvel under Disney has done to Spider-Man. Canceling Spectacular Spider-Man would be #1 for me.
Well I did have a problem with the Prom episode where Eddie still blame Peter because he went with MJ instead of Gwen because I thought that Peter didn’t ask her because he think that they were still bitter about the Lizard incident and Eddie wanted to kill Peter for that?

In the new ultimate comics from variant cover art it seems like Gwen ended up with Harry
So even if Gwen Stacy does or doesn't end up with peter, it would've been interesting if Peter and Gwen got married.
Spectaculer is my fav. Always will be. But how is she underrated? I thought everyone liked her? And please keep making spectaculer vids don't stop! And i think i heard one time she wasn't gonna die in the show but in the collage movie i heard it in a interview once i think?
If you compare on how much Liz and MJ are getting praised in the show, she's definitely underrated.

In the comics, Gwen had a father who was a police commissioner who died by the hands of Doctor Octopus and Gwen blamed Spidey because he was in the battle.
So I wondered how they put that story arc since that was one of the reasons Peter and Gwen's relationship was stalled in a way.

The thing is I don't know how they pull it off in THE SPECTACULAR SPIDER-MAN, considering the show was rated TV-Y7 and that and other shows were under heavy censorship at the time.
The 1993 version of SPIDER-MAN was rated TV-Y, which means Spidey and others can't throw a punch! Only wrestle and shoulder tackles!

This is yet another thing we could've seen continue if the show wasn't canceled. Peter and gwen's relationship.
Of course Spectacular Spiderman is a kids show. It just such a great job at being entertaining for kids but also tackles mature themes.
@@DarthEqualizer its not. It's made for everyone of all ages. The only spiderman cartoon that's made FOR KIDS is spidey and his amazing friends. I feel so bad for animation. It's been disrespected for so long because people don't know the difference between a cartoon made for everyone and a cartoon made for kids.

@@DarthEqualizer I meant to say that it can be watched by kids, but it's not SPECIFICALLY for kids. The reason adults like lewis are passionate about it and talk about it is because it's not made mainly for kids.
