I know! Yeah I actually soaked the front of a 2004-2005 Milan shirt in acetone to remove the shitty sponsor (which had stained the shirt), and it ended up bleeding all over the shirt so I decided to try a different approach! Thanks for watching!
@@theworldoffooty i just wanna ask you , do you have to wash the shirt to get the rest of the acetone , or it's not necessary
@@gueddouhislam1491 if it leaves "water stains" or rings then yes you can wash it

I bought a jersey on eBay that came with the numbers like that. However I’m scared to try this 😅 is there another way to repair this since mine isn’t really as bad

i got the same problem but with the fly emirates sponsor on my real madrid jersey, i know where to buy the player issued logo but im afraid of trying this at home, do you know if there are shops that do this in the US? Like mailing them the shirt and logo set and have them do it

Any tips on how to remove adhesive from newer namesets/patches?
It’ll be the same process. The acetone will eat away at the adhesive on those too

Probably the best selection of official name sets is at subsidesports.com. Ebay has plenty of fake/unofficial ones that look good too

Yes it will work with the vinyl namesets and with the older felt namesets from 1997-2013. The process is the same since the aim is to break down the adhesive that keeps the nameset glued to the shirt
how did you get a new name and number?
I had one in my collection, but you can find some old official name sets on eBay

@@theworldoffooty Do you need to put on tape or will the acetone just rub off the name set ? I tried just applying acetone with a cotton swab and it didn't do anything to name set I was trying to take off.
@@dougyeefresh87 I don’t suggest applying the acetone directly to the nameset since it could create a bigger mess. Sometimes it’ll turn the nameset into paint and just stain the shirt more
@@theworldoffooty If the acetone doesn't do much does it just not work sometimes or could I be doing something wrong? That's what exactly happened to me and I can't figure out why.
@@dougyeefresh87 I haven't worked on a nameset that did not react to acetone in some way. You can send me some photos and info on my instagram @the.world.of.footy if you want. I can take a look at it and see if there's something unique about your print.
