- In this video I show you how to repair/fix peel off numbers and letter on jerseys.

I had the same problem few years ago, and what you've shown right here is actually the correct one. The recommended usage of the iron should not exceeded around 5 seconds per try especially if you layering the peeling paint of the jersey with paper. I have bad experience that made the paper stick around with the peeled sponsor/crest paint because I pressed the iron for too long, and I can't even separate it.
If it's not reconnected by 5 seconds, another try is recommended. But if not, you can either let that be or look for some sort of glue which is safe for the material of jerseys and try the same application as shown in this video.
And it will be better if you have microfiber cloth or folded thin towel to layer the peeling part.
Instead of the paper?
Good recommendation, I just fixed a bunch of tops and the paper did stick and some colluding from the letters and numbers came through but barely noticeable and a massive improvement for my tops.
I would also recommend using very short presses of the iron to stop this issue.
I got a 2012 man city jersey but the sponsor and the premier league emblem on the sleeve were just a bit peeling. Worked perfectly it looks like new now! Thanks a lot bro!

My boyfriends Harper jersey had the Nike swoosh fall off the first time I washed it. Note to self, never stick jerseys in the dryer now I hang to dry. Anyway, it had the impression still there so I was able to line it up right and your iron method worked perfectly!!!!!

Triggered me a lot because I got a Nike Juventus authentic jersey in 2015, I love the jersey soo much because it is my first jersey and juve is my favorite team, but then the Jeep sponsor started to peel of after my dad washed it and yesterday I checked the Jeep is completely gone. Wish I saw this video before this thing happened man, I really expect authentic jerseys to last longer

I tried it with my McLaren shirt, it did work out quite well, but the patch sticked on the paper.
So it's not that beautiful anymore. Maybe I'll buy a second shirt. But it's a great idea to solve a problem with the patch/ emblem.

Yes, it's medium steam iron. Keep checking while you are doing it, to make sure it's working.
Thanks for an entertaining and informative video. My son was given a football jersey for his 12th birthday (2022 Napoli home blue with his name and #12 on the back) from some very dear friends - and the name is peeling a bit at the top. I will use this technique to fix it. On another note, as an American - I can never see a Juventus jersey and not think of American Football referees. Great video, thanks again. ❤⚽
I am very happy this technique can help you. Please be aware that there is a possibility that it may peel off again after awhile and you will need to use this technique again. It's hard when they start peeling off. Hope this helps, though.
On another note, I am a Santos FC fan and my club also wear a black and stripe kit. I was volunteering at my daughter school and decided to wear it and play some footy with the kids and it was funny they asking me to be the referee (I'm sure it's because of the American Football referee shirt - I also live in US).

Does that still work with much older shirts from 20 years ago. I have an arsenal 01-02 away shit where the letters are peeling off, if it doesn't, is there an alternative way
It can potentially work. My recommendation is just to slowly try and keep checking if is working. If you don’t see improvements, don’t insist otherwise you may risk damaging your shirt. Hope it will work out!
Would it work the same thing with baking paper bc I fixed my psg shorts with the number 30 peeling and it turned out pre good or is paper simply better?
Good question. I am hesitant to ask you to try. There are some baking paper in the market that are not very good.
The number 8 on my ødegard jerdey is almost peeled of its happened before and ive done this and its worked as its from this season ill probably send it back and thats what ive done before as i have done this and it still peels.

You will need to be careful when doing it. Always paying attention and checking as you do it. If you see any small sign that is not working, STOP IT!
Adidas logo came off completely when I washed my jersey in the washing machine yesterday. It was just washed once before. Sadly the whole thing got tattered into pieces before I could do anything to fix it back.
Sorry to hear that. Washing machine can be very aggressive for some shirts. It’s better to hand wash them. Created a video about this too. Check out when you have some time.

I got a really bad peeling situation with these Bayern shorts I have, the numbers are peeling kinda in a wrinkled form any suggestions on how to fix it?
If this technique was not helpful, I feel there is no much to do. There are few companies that fix name and numbers, depending on your country, but I have never used any (I have a Viali Juve shirt that would need it, but the name was printing, so it’s different)

"replica"....do you mean OFFICIAL REPLICA? It depends...OFFICIAL REPLICAS are normally embroidered so this would not work.
Question for you. I have an NFL authentic Jersey from the 90’s. The numbers are seen on and are wrinkled and coming off. It appears they are seen on as well as ironed on. The numbers are bubbled up. Any idea how to repair?
I don’t own any NFL jerseys (they are AMAZING though…love the Salute to Service ones!), so it’s hard for me to give my opinion.

That’s a bummer! I am sorry to hear that. I guess this does not work 100% of the time for a long period of time.
Question would this also work on something like a logo on an adidas track jacket, I have the same issue with that and a windbreaker I own
I am not sure as I’ve never tried on a jacket. I am afraid you can damage your jacket. If you feel confident that the material is similar, you may try but being really, REALLY careful, not letting the iron touching the paper/jacket for too long and always checking the progress. If you feel it’s not working, don’t insist otherwise you can damage your jacket and I would not want you to do that. Sorry if this is not that helpful for your case.

Hey i tried to iron my football jersey with the help of a butter paper , but while ironing the butter paper got stuck with the jersey and when I tried to remove it damaged my jersey .So what to do ?

I just used this method to fix my sons jersey that arrived new with detached lettering. I fixed the lettering but burnt a hole through the jersey. Be careful if doing this, very careful!
Wow! I am sorry to hear that. Process works in most cases but you need to be gentle and always checking the temperature, amount of time you apply the iron and keep looking if it's working. If no results, it's better to give up.

Can you apply this to basketball jerseys as well? My Dog scratched up my WNBA jersey. Not terribly but enough to be noticable.
Tim Freerksen not sure. Send me a picture via Instagram and I can take a look at it. Without seeing it, I would give it a try, being very careful, of course. Make sure the temperature is not so high and don’t apply too much pressure in the beginning to test how far you can go.

I have not tried it. I'd say give it a shot, but be careful. If you see it's not working, immediately stop it, otherwise you can damage your jersey instead of fixing it.

Possibly. Start doing quickly and keep checking to make sure is working well. The trick is being careful, as you don’t want to ruin it by letting the iron for too long in contact with the paper. If you don’t see immediate improvements, just stop.

It's been awhile I had to fix one of my jerseys so I don't quite remember the temperature I used. I'd recommend the minimum and you'd increase if the heat is not good enough. Just remember to keep checking. The goal is to fix the jersey not ruin it. If you feel the iron i hot enough and is not working, it may be the cause to give up, otherwise you can definitely damage the jersey.

iRealZeta that’s a hard one. There are some companies that do that, though.You will need to search around your location to find a good one. Probably online is your best bet, but honestly I never needed...
@@MrJersey thanks for the response. I found one Jersey online that I want to buy that I haven't been able to find anywhere else, but the letters have some fade to it. I'm debating if I should buy it or not and try to fix it myself.
iRealZeta I know exactly the feeling. If you feel it’s a rare one, I’d say go for it. Specially if it’s an old one. Chances are the quality of the letters and numbers will be the same....depending where you leave there must be a place to restorate the number. I know I was following someone on Instagram that restore numbers but I believe is from Brazil.

Sorry to hear that. Not sure how precisely you did, but a good way of doing it and by keep checking the progress as you work on the shirt. Some shirt are beyond the repair and probably was your case.
does this work for “fifa world champions” badges and “uefa” badges too?
I did not try...it depends on the material of these badges, I think. It's definitely something that may work well for some but not for others, as it depends a lot on the condition of what is being repaired...

I have not tried on the Nike logos, but heard it worked for few people. My only advise is that you are careful when you try it, immediately stopping if you see that is not working. I'd hate if you ruin your jersey trying to fix something.

If Heat sealed, you may give it a try. Be careful when doing it and keep watching to make sure it is working for you. Don’t let the iron sitting for a long time. Keep watching it awhile you do it.

On my Liverpool shirt, the h in standard cHarted came off completely. Can this method stuck it back on?
Never had this situation with the crest of my kits, so I am not sure.Give it a try, but be careful….don’t want you to damage your kit.

In my experience, probably not. In some case it does, as I heard, but once starts to peel off, os very tricky.
