Thanks for the video! What do you do with the wet cover after it is rolled up? Seems like it would be a bad idea to put in storage while still wet...?
I leave out until dry.
It is definitely a bad idea to store wet due to mold and a bad idea to store dry due to dry rot! I'm glad these aren't my guys. Use something like stow away from bioguard to spray all over cover before you put away. It prevent mold, dry rot, and extends the life if your cover.
I am considering one of these. However, the amount of debris I see lying on the pool floor leads me to believe that it is not very good at keeping out leaves and other debris, which will stain the pool liner. I'm sure that pool was properly cleaned before wintering.
i think they didnt properly clean the pool BEFORE putting the cover on and thats what you are seeing
You just leave the algacide on the cover after scrubbing, then fold it up and put it away without rinsing or drying it?
Leave out and dry.
What's that brush you guys were using at the start ?
There should be a link for it in the video description.
@@VIPPoolsandSpas Yah doesnt look like there is any available through the Canada link
@@chriscarr1791 check the video link in the description. Just renewed the link.
Your safety mesh cover seems to float on the surface of water no problem. Mine goes down underwater as soon as it gets wet and heavy.
Its all about the speed. lol I have covers that drop down into the water also when I'm closing a pool by myself. The trick is to pull it across, hook half the springs on by hand and then the opposite side you use your rod to install the rest. See my shorts for those videos.
You left the algeacide on as you rolled it up…why didn’t you spray it off. Also, you mentioned you leave it out to dry. If your closing pools, time is money so how to you address that? If is raining when you are doing a close, is it ok to store wet if you don’t have a choice?
No issue with leaving the algaecide on. If it's a regular customer, we put it away days after opening. If it's not, we ask them to keep it on the deck till dry and they put it away safe. If it's raining, just leave it out to dry. It's going to stop raining at some point I hope.
