One of my earliest memories as a child is going to the Q with my dad and his friends to see the Padres play. This was in the like 2001 or 2002. Time does fly. It still hurts driving past on the 8 and not seeing the stadium there.
man I love this city. crazy how alot of the fans in this video might not even be alive anymore... I hope they're seeing the padres success , wherever they are...
It would be nice to see the last Padres home game at Q again if it’ll be ever uploaded on UA-cam especially the whole 2003 season there. So many memories attending the Padres home games there but i still remember against the Giants at Q i saw Barry Bonds hit a monster home run over my & my dad’s head & then hear the ball hit off the scoreboard!
ChAnGo_8117 PRIME i totally agreed with you & the tickets should be cheaper it’s also just in case other events being hosted at Petco Park. We can just let it sit there
I hope SDCCU Stadium will host some Padres spring training or some home games just in case for any event being hosted at Petco Park because of so many memories there growing up. It would be nice to use the home run there & use Kernkraft 400 by Zombie Nation & Land of 1,000 Dances by Wilson Pickett as a home run song again
When they closed Connie Mack Stadium in Philly in 1970, they intended to take home plate by helicopter to the new Veterans Stadium seven miles away. However, the crowd on the field would not let the copter. land
Lots of memories in that stadium. One of my greatest memories of all was that day, because it was my birthday too.

The padres should do a series at the Q it has been 15 years
ChAnGo_8117 PRIME i totally agreed with you like for reals & with free parking
I think the Padres should do a series at the Q right before the Q is set for construction/demolition.
Hamminator i agree
It could easily happen. The seats can still move and the dugouts are still there.
KVFutureGamer the dugout is still there?
Even more bittersweet with Qualcomm Stadium gone now. Great memories of Padres games with my parents and my uncle.
I mean it still hosted the chargers for 13 more years after this and I went to an AAF game there last week
Well unlike the chargers they care
The chargers are not the Padres
rest in peace big papi! i will forever miss that stadium.
Huh??

The Real San Diego Stadium. So many great times from the field to the plaza to the loge
Leaving Jack Murphy for PetCo is the worst decision the Padres have ever made.
As much as I miss the stadium, Petco Park is one of the best ballparks in the country.
Padres a team that will never win a World Series
No team from Texas will ever win one, 2017 is illegitimate
@@Padre619 Typical making excuses. Check the MLB World Series winners list Houston Astros still there. Suck it! I will go bang a trash can 😆
