it's pretty much E minor,Dmaj, and Cmaj throughout the whole song. I think the solo is in E minor pentatonic.

I usually substitute Dmaj for Gmaj7 and Cmaj for Cmaj7. Gives it a more etheral touch

J really likes Maggot Brain. He and Watt jammed it a lot. Also some of licks on this. The feedback heavy ones call to Hendrix's Machine Gun live at Filmore East. That's J's favourite solo.
