On those occasions where your keyboard is not handy you can do a hard refresh by control clicking on the reload button on chromium based browsers, not firefox.
Pressing ctrl + shift + delete in a browser - you can delete cache data and more, - works in my point of view with a lot of different browsers. Regards, Andy
@@CayoBuay shift+f5 was the original way of doing it, Netscape, IE etc did it this way. Chrome changed it, much like doing ctrl+L to access the URL bar is changed to alt+d in chrome browsers and thus supported later going forward.
Have you tried this trick before? What’s your go-to browser, and what other hacks do you want next?
I love you videos keep up the Good Work How did you start something like this
@@davidbombal I use either Ctrl+Shift+R or Shift+C5
My browser of choice is Firefox.
More Linux, security, etc

Not with the key combination, but while developer console is open, it also ignores cache when refreshing.
I use ctrl + R for refresh and ctrl + shift + R for hard refresh which would clear the cache.
On Windows? Is this not a feature of the browser itself?
No it's exclusive to Windows™ obviously
/s
Try control+F5 on Mac for yourself
not the same on all browsers...
@@troleks theres only 2 types of browser mainstream its firefox and chromium and both have the same feature
Great tip, often get cached issues with networked apps
Works good for checking CSS updates.
Thanks for teaching us those keyboard commands. They're so much faster than going into browser settings!
Nice tip! I’ve worked in IT for 15 years, 6 as a pentester and I didn’t know that one!
Don't expect to know every single thing about compootaaz after even 30 years lol

I haven’t tried this yet but if it works I’ll be saving tons of time on JavaScript projects.
We can go to dev tools, disable cache and reload the page, also many options are available
That's great, so that you don't have to delete the entire cache? Awesome!!
This also updates the local cache of the browser
how to do that on android?
thank you for every advice you and your team do for us❤
Clean caches
Hold *SHIFT* and click the refresh icon
Lovely
Nope but I do now. Ty!
Ctrl+r and shift+f5 also does that
Mac - cmd + shift + r
Never knew it ignores cache might be just me being stupid as I did know it does refresh web pages from scratch
I always thought it was Shift+F5 🤔
Thank you
Change your browsers settings to have no cache if you're a web developer or something
How do we do that?
If I do this (ctrl-F5), does it also _replace_ the data in the cache for the next time, or does it only utilize it that particular time???
Define secure BOOT in 60 sec❤❤
Is this a Windows thing or a browser thing?
How does this dicfer from pressing shift and reloading?
It's command+r on a mac
@davidbombal Sorry, I meant the feature, I was wondering if it's a browser feature.
And how does the one you describe differ from shift+reload?
@@CayoBuay shift+f5 was the original way of doing it, Netscape, IE etc did it this way. Chrome changed it, much like doing ctrl+L to access the URL bar is changed to alt+d in chrome browsers and thus supported later going forward.
Open devtools (F12 on windows) and right click on the refresh button if you need to delete the local storage too
@@dataterminalF6 also works
Shift + cmd + R, on mac
good
Thank you!
"time saving" aka repeats everything at least 3 times in a row
I use ctr + shift + R
Crtl R is the same?
What about ctrl + R
Didn't he press control + Windows key + F5?
I am using cntrl + shift + r instead
❤❤
What about Linux?
please shift ur focus from winware, or at least treat it like the agressive hostile agent it is
Ctrl-w is faster. Do Not push Ctrl-F5 in Windows Explorer 😱🤮😭
Can't we use Ctrl+shift+r?
👍🏼
Its 1990 again?
Ctrl + R
You can also just click the link on the address bar and press enter /send
How about Mac?
Cmd+R
@@davidbombal But the one that forces to load from the web server? like ctrl f5
ctrl+shift+r
