It's funny that PR didn't keep up with these kinds of live stage shows, Sentai and Kamen Rider love them up to the modern day. Though I suppose Toei does have a much higher share of cultural consciousness than PR does in the modern day, plus the ability to make their own 1 to 1 suits rather than having to use hand me downs, could be a thousand other reasons too.
Appraently, Dan Southworth played Adam in this after almost getting the role on the TV show.
The franchise Power Rangers sources its footage from, Super Sentai, continues to do these types of shows to this day. They can happen at concert halls or at shopping malls while the parents are shopping.
I saw it here in Sao Paulo, Brazil when I was 4 or 5yo, around 1995.
I could remember Pink's Zord making rain, the humiliating cameo of Rita, the parots, the Lion Flame monster...
I never knew this existed, but I know damn well I would've watched the crap out of it. Awesome video as always! 👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿
I actually went to the show when it came to my city as a child. I was 2 and in the front row the biggest takeaway from it is the part when they turn Adam and Aisha to monkeys and birds scared me so much that 28 years later I still do not like anything with "magic"
The version I saw in my home country was the one where Tor and Serpentera appeared and that shit scared me, cause sure he was already big in the show but imagine watching it in a bigger screen. It just gave a sense to his scale with that.. Then I watched Dairanger and saw how fucking much scarier Daijinryuu was.
I saw this show live when it came to my hometown. I remember not seeing any video but instead they had Zordon's face with a moving mouth in green lights on the ceiling which for me being 6 at the time looked really cool.
The live show is included in full on the Bonus Features disc of the complete series DVD release of MMPR from Shout! Factory, which is still currently in retail distribution. Just letting you know in case your upload gets taken down due to copyright reasons for it still being available for consumers to buy at retail.
I remember this fondly! It was easily one of my best memories as kid going to watch this when it came to my hometown.
There was a live show that toured to Dublin and Birmingham. They guest starred on the late late show, with goldar and two putties 'kidnapped' the host, and with an audience call of "go go power rangers" and cue music and fight and promo done. That was 1996,
The White Ranger was so popular he was cast in an mother goose panto in the birmingham uk area when i was a kid.
1996 was a long time ago i dont remember the details but it was a guy in the White ranger suit.
I was at the show in Denver. Loved it. If you ever wanted to see something similar, you still can.
You just have to go to Japan. Theater G-Rosso does Super Sentai live shows. There’s one on UA-cam of the final version of the stage show for Kikai Sentai Zenkaiger, and it’s AWESOME.
My mom and dad took me when I was a kid to the show and I was able to go backstage and meet the blue and black ranger because of my dad greatest day of my childhood
I saw this at Universal Studios in Hollywood California. They actually had the actors there for it. They show was a total cluster fuck and sold out and they weren’t letting people in basically, regardless if you had bought tickets. My mom had friends who worked on the show. We were supposed to be like in the front row, but the over selling of tickets basically got front row turned into a standing room only type deal. It was still super cool. After the show, they did a Q&A with the actors. The one question I remember being asked was “are Tommy and Kim really dating.” Lol.
I even met Bulk after the show. He was at a bar we’d stopped at to use the bathroom. He didn’t mind putting down his beer and talking to my sister and I. He even gave us hugs. I have no idea what my mom said to him to have him put down his beer and hang out witb us for like 1 minute. But it was still super cool.
I remember watching the Power Rangers Live in the Philippines. My dad brought me to watch it.
Saw it in Dublin, Ireland when I was younger. Man this is a trip to revisit.
No mate wrong, wrong, wrong. I saw Power Rangers Live at Newcastle Arena in its first few months of opening in 1995. I still have the programme somewhere. The ‘Power Rangers’ also made an appearance at the Metro Centre to ‘meet fans’ and promote the video.
Looks like it was the same storyline. We had reflective cards that to ‘defeat Lord Zedd’
Now I know where the Purple Rita came from.
There is a version of it floating around here on youtube. I watched it last year and it's pretty fun to watch lol

Was lucky enough too see this live :) in the UK at Wembley arena
Do not think it ever came to Manchester
It was in Dublin during 1994/5 as I went over to visit family when I was 6/7 and I wanted to go to the event
I actually had this on VHS when I was younger. I thought it was really cool to see a stage performance with the rangers. Sad the series isn't popular enough to do anything like this nowadays.
The tour was in Mexico too like others of the same kind like Pokemon and Saint Seiya, there was in TV once also
Mighty Morphin' was before my time, but seeing how they made all these characters interact like it's the world's wackiest soap opera makes me nostalgic for someone else's childhood.
Ahhhhhhh no. There was a live show in the Uk but I’m not sure if it was the same kind of story. But I definitely remember going there and getting a light up plastic sword in red like the red ranger.
This video was short but sweet.
Wow I did not know about this!
It was in Canada, I did see it in Toronto.
I saw the live show in Birmingham uk ❤
I still have the show book for this somewhere..
I forgot about this lol I wonder if it was lucrative
You should do Pokémon Live next
Matt, you should really get rid of the intro.
No
no
No
Totally not!
It's a really memorable, cheerful tune with funny clips and I listen to it in full every time. I dislike it when established shows swap their intros for shorter ones or get rid of them altogether, like SmackDown and RAW did for a time over here on German TV (though maybe that was the station's decision; sucked anyway because I liked them). Or, imagine Power Rangers getting rid of the MMPR theme after season 1, because "everybody knows it by now".
Some intros are just too good to get rid of.
It makes me so sad to see so many “fans” bash Zedd when he was married to Rita. They are my personal favourites when they are together
It's still 1 AMAZING Amerucan🇺🇲/Japsnese🇯🇵 T.V. show!
