I think as we look back on this moment the immediate reaction of Fives when he realised what Tup was about to do. It says a lot about both his friendship with Tup, and about his respect and liking of the jedi.
what makes this extra scary is that he was actually calculated in his moves and took measures to kill her without anyone realizing before it was too late, and he didn't even know he was doing it!
Markus. He’s worried about his brother. In a battle, if you don’t “feel like yourself” you could be a huge liability to your side. That’s why if you’re dealing with a mental disability or psychotic break, command gets you out ASAP. Last thing they need is a soldier losing his shit in the middle of an important battle.
I doubt he knew, as this arc is when he learns about it. The tone in his question seems to reflect how clones are bred for battle and the chance that they would be trained to deal with mental illness considering that they most likely don't have the programing to get mentally ill.
@@terraodonnell5042 Yeah of course I get that. I just feel the way how Fives looked around before saying it made it seem like there was another meaning. I honestly prefer the clones executing order 66 without being mindless and not in control of their abilites. I prefer if they knew about it all long and not some chip in their hads. It adds another dynamic to the story. Which is why this scene with Fives made me think wow is Fives trying to cover it up almost?
I keep thinking about how hard this must have been for Tiplee, seeing her twin sister murdered by a trusted clone trooper in the middle of combat. No time to truly react and as a Jedi, no ability to truly mourn her.
At this point Anakin was still part of the Jedi quite solidly. Imagine if this clone decided to kill Anakin instead of her, the entire future would be so drastically changed
Must have been total agony for Tup, the chip activating and then deactivating within seconds. Erasing his personality and then bringing it back, over and over.
I remember reading a comic where one of the twins was anakin childhood friend during the early years of his Jedi training. I think they are a year or two older than he is. And they wouldn’t make him a master which I think shows that they would promote other his age but not him
She was really only looking at him for 2 seconds. Its just camera changes. In a scene, if say camera one is looking at the Jedi and camera two is looking at the clone, both of the events are happening at the same time. They just can't show both at once. She was simply confused for 2 seconds then she died.
0:58 Anakin walking into the room like this with the 501st behind him reminds me of that amazing scene where he storms the Jedi temple with his battalion during order 66! I wish we got to see him do this more often!
God, can you just imagine a non canon version of Order 66 where it's just the clones saying Good soldier follow orders and going through the temple attacking Jedi. Then one of their helmets gets knocked off and they just have this dead eyed, glazed over, vacant expression on their face. That'd be super chilling. I'm not saying it'd be like in the movie when Vader first attacked the temple, I mean like it's just the clones and no one else. The story would be from the Jedi's perspective and it could show the clones seeming more like droids than human and the inner monologue of the Jedi would be them describing they felt no emotions coming from the clones and how they felt about it.
it's the rating. Disney doesn't allow over a Y7 rating so it can't be as violent or go into deeper subjects. clone wars pushed the boundaries for a PG rating while rebels pushes them for a Y7 rating. there is a lot of space in between the two.
Just a reminder, Tup singlehandedly put down General Pong Krell on Umbara. Such a shame he had to go down like this. He could've been made an ARC trooper after Umbara
This is prob one of my favorite battle scenes of all time, the tactics used seem more realistic and telling of how some Jedi have finally started to grasp the whole “warfare” thing

Tiplee/Tipla and Ima gun-di (that name lol)...all were promising jedi with the only purpose of tragic death.
Now we know Tup and Fives didn’t die for good
R.I.P Random floaty hair girl thing. Your apperance in less than 10 minutes will be missed
I remember reading a comic where one of the twins was anakin childhood friend during the early years of his Jedi training. I think they are a year or two older than he is. And they wouldn’t make him a master which I think shows that they would promote other his age but not him
Well, that teardrop tattoo has a lot more meaning now
Tup standing with his gun pointed at Tiplar
Fives and Tiplar for about 5 seconds: 👁👄👁
Palpatine: Execute order 66! TUP: Yes my lord! Palpatine: Wait no stop, not yet! Oh crap now I've exposed my master plan damnit

"That was my fucking kill"
why did tipplar just stand there while Tup aimed a gun at her? Did she think Tup was gonna shoot something behind her or what?
She was really only looking at him for 2 seconds. Its just camera changes. In a scene, if say camera one is looking at the Jedi and camera two is looking at the clone, both of the events are happening at the same time. They just can't show both at once. She was simply confused for 2 seconds then she died.
She was confused, she didn't have the reaction time for it.
Confusion probably helped kill more Jedi during the Purge than anything else.
Sakura Syndrome.
Order 66 made its first appearance right in front of her.
+TheWrong Jedi You're welcome! ;-)

Can I get the name of the ost playing
I like how anakin is already using his lights Aberdeen like Vader, just one handing it to block 1 or 2 shots
whats aberdeen
@@JohnyMiko Autocorrect must have gone weird and translated 'lightsaber' to 'lights Aberdeen'.
Poor Tup. I can only imagine how chaotic it must’ve been in his brain with his chip going haywire
0:58 Anakin walking into the room like this with the 501st behind him reminds me of that amazing scene where he storms the Jedi temple with his battalion during order 66! I wish we got to see him do this more often!
The music during this is so fricking epic, it just makes it perfect!!!
Trooper: **aims blaster for 3 seconds**
Tiplar: 👁️_👁️ *does nothing*
Tup felt order 66 too early.
Tup: She burned my patch
W reference 😂
Why can't Star Wars Rebels be this awesome?!
it's the rating. Disney doesn't allow over a Y7 rating so it can't be as violent or go into deeper subjects. clone wars pushed the boundaries for a PG rating while rebels pushes them for a Y7 rating. there is a lot of space in between the two.
It is
orders 5s to bring Tup back alive and proceeds to hold him in front of himself as a meat shield
Just a reminder, Tup singlehandedly put down General Pong Krell on Umbara. Such a shame he had to go down like this. He could've been made an ARC trooper after Umbara
3:47 dude why didn't she react she had plenty of time to cut off his blaster or something😂
The pov of the jedi/clone happen at the same time
I for one think it was out of shock or disbelief.
@@timothyjohnson5699 true but the pov theory makes sense

are they saying "yes sir" or am i hearing things
"Sir" is a mutual title used to refer to a higher up
distinct olive
- sir
used as a polite or respectful way of addressing a man, especially one in a position of authority.
+Peridot (Certified Kindergartener) Sir is a gender neutral term in the military.
+TheDeadlyMagikarp
Thank you. I knew it wasn't regularly used like that. I suppose just the military..(?)
Primarily yeah, and if i'm not mistaken mostly Navy, but I could be wrong on that part.
"good soldiers follow orders" was inspiring to many clones and they decided to kill the jedi the end
Pov : UA-cam recommend you this in 2021
This is prob one of my favorite battle scenes of all time, the tactics used seem more realistic and telling of how some Jedi have finally started to grasp the whole “warfare” thing
