I have a different brand with a larger hood... it drys well, but it sucks the hair upward, which messes up my molded style..

Yes it blows downward.
That’s the problem I have with my Pibbs kiwi Dry. It was excellent for roller sets but not good for wash and go’s.

Yes it did. For the back since my hair is long, I picked it up and placed it in the back of the dryer.
