True! Cadillac. If the vehicle makes it off the dealership lot and goes out of sight... the employees cheer. They know that sucker will be stuck at the side of a road sooner than later.
Yes there are alternatives, but in terms of reliability, lasting value, and recharging on road trips nothing beats a Tesla. This is especially true now that used Teslas are increasingly on the market.
Some people hate Elon more than they love their own money... Okay, fair enough.
Just stumbled across your channel and wanted to let you know I think if you had a podcast, it would do well. You have a very soothing voice.
You have to remember that here in UK, taxes are shown in the list price and that's the price you'll pay - and that includes 20% VAT. It makes prices here look higher than some other countries. In truth, they are high, but there are some sensational lease deals around. Also for private buyers, there are no tax rebates or other incentives on purchase.
It's hard to understand how different things can be abroad. Money, taxes, incentives, etc. Thanks for sharing that.

Yes, Volvo Mack is the trucking entity, in N. America, anyway. I am not sure about the rest of the world. I consulted to them and it was like two siblings that hated each other. A match made in hell. ;^)
It is really interesting, who will go bankrupt first? Ford, GM, Stellantis or VW? Tough call?
They all make more money overall than Tesla.
@@bobbybishop5662 They are all carrying far more debt also. Once profits are not covering factories (running below efficiency levels) it can all go negative very quickly.
It is exciting times for GM, in the sense of, "May you live in interesting times." Sounds good on the surface but not good for the weak.

Between FSD and the charging network, I just can't see buying another brand.
After seeing Munro do his thing to Ford, VW, then Tesla....I knew Tesla was the car for me. So I bought one. Never before has anything like that existed...Muno I mean..on youtube. That did more for me than any review can do. I thank you and munro...and other content creators more than you can know. Keep up the amazing work. God knows the normal media would never allow shows like this to exist.
Yah, choices are good...but bad choices parading around as good is wrong...GM parades its choices as good when they are not...only the uninformed get suckered into buying that garbage..that is sad.
MG is the exact opposite of GM, and I'm surprised it didn't feature in the article. The MGs are VERY good value and sell rather well in the UK..

The biggest issue with this article from The Guardian, is that Leasing in the UK (for a Tesla) is on a whole different level to North America. The other issue in the UK, is that Tesla insurance is very expensive. A basic Model Y costs more to insure than a Hyundai Ioniq 5N. The Ioniq 5N is actually a brilliant car and would easily be chosen above most Model Ys.
Then you have to wonder why it isn't.
@@FutureAZA It hasn't been out for more than 5 minutes! I've owned a number of BEVs. I also have shares in Tesla. However, having driven the Model 3 , Y and Y performance. I have to say that I was far more impressed with the Ioniq 5N. Sadly, any new car is just not on my budget at the moment. Unless a stunning lease deal comes along.
I suspect that many hundreds of thousands of people in the UK feel the same about any NEW car. As we are all being royally screwed with out pay increases, inflation and government taxes.

Ranked reasons I won't buy a Tesla:
1) I want a small, 5-door hatchback EV, mostly in-town car that I can drive to the coast occasionally. Tesla don't make one.
2) I want a normal instrument/dashboard layout. Tesla don't do that.
3) Musk.
Reasons to buy a Tesla: Best charging network available in the USA, oh, but it's just been opened up to non-Tesla EVs.
About no 3, you are most likely misinformed.
Even though the Tesla charging network is open to everyone, it still isn't the same as just plug in and leave

Tesla fans obsession with GM is beginning to smack of terror. It's as if they fear GM will after all eat into Tesla vehicle market share. Actually, currently the Lyriq and Equinox are proving popular with sales growing rapidly. The Silverado is proving way better than Cyber Truck. And GM has the Blazer, GMC EVs and the new Bolt and Escalade on the horizon. No wonder Tesla fans can't seem to stop having a dig at GM . A strange -some would say hypocritical thing about Tesla nuts is how they like to dig at GM but bellyache when anyone criticizes Tesla.
