Thank you both for coming by to comment your art is incredible and I've yet to be unamazed by it! I'm always captivated by the world building you manage to create through the use of both music and visuals.

The other Souls related songs from Miracle of Sound are all great. Aviators is also an another artist who has good songs, some of them are also based on the Souls games.
Miracle of Sound suggestions: "Embers Rise" "Forever Flame" "Mojave song"
Aviators suggestions: "Let There Be Fire (feat. Miracle of Sound)" "Song of the Abyss" "Metal Won't Burn" "Make Your Move" "Bleeding Sun"

Don't forget Fires Far! It's the basis for most of the Dark Souls motifs!
edit: technically 'You Died' is this, but Fires Far is the first from the more 'serious' era.

Thank you for the suggestions! Both of you! Adding ALL to the list ... so stay tuned for more!

This song inspired an entire religion in my D&D campaigns. The faith of Imrash, the goddess of fire, forgiveness...and hardship.
"For is it not between the unyielding anvil and the merciless hammer than steel is shaped? And in the fiery crucible that silver becomes pure?"
It's even canon that they sing this song on the winter solstice, a holy day similar to the Christian Ash Wednesday - a day when they remember their mortality, and address their sins from the past year.

I'm going to tell Editor Hubby to read this one because he's your D&D guy, I've never played and any and all I know about it all comes from his attempts to explain it to me, table top gaming channels on you tube, Vax Machina, , the movie, and Stranger Things (please forgive me table top gamers)! The fact that you made a frakking RELIGEON based on this is just....🤯 Seriously?! How creative ARE YOU!?! How did you even come up with such a thing?

The miracle of sound Soulsian collection of songs is beautiful. Dunne tends to carry motifs from project to project of same/similar IPs, so you can go from his dark souls songs, his elden ring songs, his bloodbourne songs, all will have carrying motifs and lyrics mirroring the stories told.
Even his most recent release, Purest gold, ends with a motif featured on moonlight blue, scarlet sky, a thousand eyes, and paleblood moon.

Wow that's crazy that he can carry it through and it works! I will check out the rest of the videos!

I know, right? So dark, so epic, one of his best songs ever, in my opinion. I have to say again, it is such a joy to see you enjoy it so much. So, allow me to share some more of that joy with you, in no particular order:
'Scarlet Sky' and 'Moonlight Blue', based on Elden Ring
'Open Air', based on Metro: Last Light
'All As One' based on Dragon Age Inquisition
'Take It Back' - Mass Effect 3
    'Machine Hearts' - Nier: Automata
'The Path' - Witcher 3: Blood and Wine DLC
I'll stop here, or I might as well recommend entire albums. The only downside to his songs, especially earlier ones, is that they are filled to the brim with references which would probably go right over the head of a listener unfamiliar with source material. Makes me wonder how much I've missed, since I've never played or delved into lore of Elden Ring or Dark Souls series. Still love the songs though

Even with the references, it rarely takes away from the songs to not have the ins and outs. His older comedy songs are the outlier, but no punchline is funny without the rest of the joke.

I'd add 'The Day The World Died' and (maybe) 'Age of the Dragon' as prerequisites for 'Open Air' and 'All as One'. The Day The World Died is a good song on top of having a major motif return in Open Air. Age of the Dragon is kind of silly, but when its main motif comes back in All As One it hits like a truck.
Also the new Elden Ring song, 'Purest Gold', after the other Elden Ring songs, but that's probably a given.

    Fires fade,
    Wills of steel to temper.
    Come reignite this hopeful flame.
Dark Souls is, well, dark, but it's also about the power of perservering in spite of grim odds and merciless opposition.
You will die, but as long as you keep trying, you'll eventually succeed.

This looks incredible and incredibly sad. I know Editor Hubby has the remastered for PS5 or whatever and is playing through it. I'm sure I'll be watching pieces or something soon. LOL

So glad you loved it too. Considering Gavin Dunn's (miracle of sound) first Dark Souls song can probably be considered a funny jest of a song, everything he's done on the Fromsoft games after that have been pure gold in my eyes. Not that the jest 'You Died' doesn't sound wonderful too, in it's own way.
As for what you should react to next, I'm with @loredan725 . Scarlet Sky and Moonlight Blue that is based upon Elden Ring is the best path forward. Considering that Dark Souls is a different reality to the setting of Elden Ring. (My own persona favourite is Moonlight Blue, but I think most prefere Scarlet Sky. They are both wonderful though)

For context, since you said you had no idea what was going on and stuff: Fire in Dark Souls is more than just fire. It is a cosmic force. And when the Fires Fade, the world around it fades as well. So every time the Fires Fade, a hero sets out to rekindle the Fire using themselves and all souls of all Lords they can find as kindling, giving the world a new lease on life... However, by the time of Dark Souls 3, the Fire has been rekindled so many times, each time consuming so much, that there's not really much worthwhile left of either the world or Lord souls to fuel it with any longer... Thus the best champion the world could muster is The Ashen One, someone who is actually outright _unfit_ to be used as kindling, who has to be sent out to collect the remains of The Lords of Cinder, former heroes who have already been used up as kindling for the Fire... and so the dilemma becomes less-so "The world is dying and you must save it", and more-so "Is it right to try to force a dying world to go on forever? Is it right to rekindle the Fire again? Is it right to just let the Fires Fade this time?"

What a horribly sad and twisted story. I'm convinced the people there need either less or way more drugs. I can't decide. Yipess... that makes this so ... wow. so much more wow.

    • @GrahamChapman

@@angeltalion It is _quite_ "wow", indeed... In many ways, Dark Souls is a very profound celebration of life -- specifically transient, mortal life, no matter how sad or twisted transient, mortal life can be, and often outright _because_ it is sad, twisted and transient... While the Fire is the origin of Souls, the spark within that gives us life, it is no coincidence that The Dark, the deep force that will swallow the world once the Fire goes out, is the origin of a complementary concept: Humanity.
