Lmao the fact that you can draw the boat and paint it in a few minutes and I have to replay the first 20 seconds at least 7 times

You know, there is a common saying: it is actually 40 years plus a few minutes :)
This is an artist's iaijutsu. Simple but unrepeatable. One precise motion consists of many years of practice .As the diamond recieved from tons of material.

Thank Shiba-sama I always struggled with how to start a boat properly, this helps a lot. I’ll use this and the elongated figure 8 methods now for practicing my boat paintings and drawings.

This reminds me how important drawing and perspective are ~ I need more practice! Thank you for your excellent demonstration.
I painted this boat earlier this week and it was helpful for me to go back to the principles from the beginner videos. I seem to be inclined to start without enough paint prepared, so preparing the paint is very helpful and testing it on scrap pieces of paper, so I am not surprised by the color. I painted it several times to get better at it. Taking the time to get the sketch right was very important to the result. Getting the dimensions of the rectangle in the back of the boat was important. I think I estimated the length of the rectangle being about 2 and a half times the height.
The drawing of the boat inspired me to look at other online videos on drawing using perspective. There are a lot of resources on that available, and it is a large topic by itself, so I don't think you need to go more into it.
