They are too busy trying to figure their gender out.
And pronouns.
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
😂😂😂😂

Doing what they're doing is a beautiful middle finger to the companies and bosses who think they got God by the beard. F them!
As someone that’s not in Gen Z, I’d just like to thank them. Competing against you in the job market has made success extremely simple
Ouch but probably true
Same, started my own thing. I could probably name a good 40 people I used to go to school with that are now self employed. A huge variety too. I know folks that are self-employed driving semi trucks, roofing, home improvement, landscaping, security trading, cosmetologists and hair stylists. I can go on and on. You don't even necessarily have to have a business to be self-employed either. Although it would be better for the tax write-offs.
They think their getting ahead of the game but in all reality their falling behind faster than they think. It takes a lot of money to retire right now and in 30-40 years it's going to cost a lot more young ones not less. Start working and saving or investing as soon as you can It's a dog eat dog world out there and it's vicious.
Because Gen Z's suck.
The GOP doesn't want border laws or gun laws. But they want to stop families using IVF to have a child
I guess when you're a 23 year old college graduate who just moved back in with mom and dad, you don't really NEED a job!
I once had to call and delay a job interview.... chicken pox! And I was in my thirties! The interviewer just laughed and said it was one of the better excuses he'd heard. Two weeks later, fresh out of quarantine, I interviewed and got the job.
I also delayed a job interview, the HR rep wanted me to go to an interview the day after a Hernia surgery plus have a presentation ready to show my skills on a new engineering project. I had it delayed two days to prepare and recuperate. Result? I was offered the job and accepted.
@@gtsipejrBut neither of you were slackers. You had legitimate reasons, not excuses.
If you get hired and don't show up for work, as Donald Trump said "YOU'RE FIRED"
Yep! He’s been fired, what?? Over 60+ times!! And will be again. Unless he’s in prison.
It's happening alot.
Here's a tip, don't hire college or university kids. Hire kids with grade 12,and train them on the job, most jobs only require probably less than 10% of their education
That's exactly what Ivanka Trump was convincing many businesses to do when she was in her position in the last administration.

My sister told me about a business owner who interviewed a young woman for a job, and told her she could start tomorrow. The young woman actually told him, she didn't want a job, and that she is required to go to job interviews, to receive welfare. She finished by telling him, she's third generation welfare recipients, and proud of it! That's the attitude our government has enabled!
😮
I would contact the welfare office on her behalf and relay the entire situation
I've known people who were forced to go to job interviews because they were on benefits of some sort. They only wanted to work summers at ice cream places open in the summers. They just played very dumb, to the point people wondered if they knew the language. Pretty shameless.
Lies again? Jackal Wolf AIA Money
The times I've heard of the new hire working one day and then never coming back - what? I was at a drive thru getting a sandwich yesterday. The kid took my order, took my money, gave me change, threw down his headset and walked out - all within a five minute timespan. Too much stress for him I guess. We are doomed!
Did you at least get your sandwich?
America is a buring trashcan and only Trump can save you but you can still get a sandwich, in your SUV, in your paid off house
Try to be nicer when you're in the drive thru.
America is soooo bad Trump speeches say.
But you're still got drive thru, your SUV's and your paid off houses.
Who asked that Larry King? Peace out.
Gen Z makes the Slacker Generation look energetic. "Lazy" is Sesame Street's Word of the Day.
They were just starting to show up when I retired. I feel very bad for the people that have to take up the slack when they show up but don't work.

The guy at the end nailed it - these kids have zero social skills and don’t know what to do when the time comes. One of the best employees I ever managed randomly stopped showing up, and I literally called the police to do a wellness check because no one could get a hold of him. He turns up one day and says, “oh sorry my anxiety went nuts for a bit” and expected to continue working for us like nothing happened… He didn’t understand when we said no.
Yeah, I got ghosted on my third interview after agreeing on a salary.
The only other interviewee must have been Gen-Z because after I reached out and was told they went with someone else, a week later they were asking if I was still available… and that was a big no.
I couldn’t imagine interviewing, agreeing on a salary, start date and a schedule. Day one comes and you just don’t show up?
They should Sue if it was an Imediate Position. Unless they are already Working. There are Very Few Companies anymore that hire the way you Represent. Some of these companies are taking too Long to Hire and Most dont sit and Wait for a month to go by to see if they are Hired. Old Days if you applied for a job, You would know when to show up for work within a 3-4 Days. Now there is No Response and May Never Hear Anything.
Employers at times could lie about what the actual starting pay is compared to what they list online, then proceed to change it a few days after the interviews begin to not be held accountable.
Or showing up in your pajamas and bringing a pillow because training is like college. Happened at my friend’s company. Fired in under an hour.
It's alarming to see such disregard for responsibility.
WAUUUGHHHH 😭
It's called acting your wage. Cope.
Employers are getting a taste of their own medicine and I am thankful! How many decades have employers treated job seekers like total trash! Interviews that go on and on, no call back, ghost job listings, ghosted at any phase of hiring process, etc.
BREAKING: 21 days till 40 Wall Street is name changed to 40 Tish Street 🤣
Young people act their age and you get triggered, Trump acts like a 12 years old and you applaud
As someone who is gen z, it’s extremely sad and disappointing that this is how gen z has decided to present themselves in the job market. People take too much for granted and it leaves the rest of us that actually care about our careers and trying to find work left to try and heal gen z’s damaged reputation. People just need to grow the hell up and stop worrying about ur “anxiety” or whatever gender they decide to make themselves every week.
Thank you!
Amen. The flavor of the day stuff should be left to the ice cream shop, not the gender department.
This is the best thing I've read today!
As a fellow Gen Z, I agree with you. And this new Gen Alpha is much worse. I fear for future of humanity.
I said to a co-op ed teacher a few years ago: 'It must be nice, setting students up for jobs they're interested in and they get to go out and do something outside of the classroom...'
Co-op teacher: 'Yeah, until they skip 4 days, get fired, and are perplexed why and ask me about it...'
At the same time, there's no 'ease of it' today. College used to be affordable via summer jobs and a part time job, and in some times and places average home prices were 1-3 years of average salary. Now, 8-20 years of average salary for an average home is not unheard of.

True story, HR finally found a qualified candidate and offered them the position, which they accepted, but the new hire wanted to take their paid 2 week vacation at the job start date....needless to say they were not hired.

I hear you; I know. It pisses me too because I'm a 41 year old struggling with trying to get a job and not hearing back only to find out that people who get job offers are jerking around with them.
Its infuriating. I thought moving house to a bigger city (60k to 140k) would have opened more doors. Instead it seems like the silence has become only more deafening.
As someone who hires people, I can attest to the truth of this. Totally ticks me off.

@tarajo4836 had one guy call in an hour late, saying he wasn't coming
So, my boss called hrcsnd canceled his hiring. 3 hours later, that dude calls back. He said he changed his mind and wanted the job. He was told, " Too late, paperwork is done. You don't have a job here. " this was a good got job with benefits and working in the forests . During the interview, I had a bad feeling about that dude. It looked like we dodged a bullet
it's not all just gen z. boomers job advice doesn't work anymore (the advice that used to be given to gen x and millennials). you can't just walk in and ask to speak to the manager and ask for a job. you can't just hand in a paper resume. you have to sign up online, and the crooked HR departments will do whatever they want to do. or maybe it's a ghost job. some jobs you're expected to go through 3-4 interviews only to be told they chose someone else. waste of time. it's not just gen z that's the problem. there's a problem with the employers and how they recruit too now.
There's no argument here. But you forgot to mention that the online application that makes you have to take an assessment test which you have to BS your way to passing.
Bloody.
The way the restaurant owner did it was so elegant.
Kudos to the applicant for: 1) being honest and 2) taking the effort to improve and succeed.
This happens at my job. It is a good job, good pay and benefits. We get ghosted all the time
Through no fault of their own, many people aren't aware that the Biden administration has created many superfluous, nonessential jobs via what is known as staffing agencies. When people show up at the workplace, they realize that they're just filler. Because of this, they can get in the habit of blowing off jobs.

What's wrong with it?
I was on my 6th job like that when I graduated college. I credit that for why I didn't have jobs like that after I graduated.
You shouldn't have to deal with that. Your better than that.😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
If you don't want to go to an interview, you call and cancel. If you change your mind about taking a job, you tell them. It's just being courteous and showing respect toward your fellow human beings. Not doing so just makes you a liar since you didn't do what you said you would do. This behavior doesn't make you a good person. And unnecessarily burning bridges can come back to haunt you later as a former boss can get hired where you now work or have moved on to a place you really want to get hired at when you really need a job and you can no longer move back in with your parents.
It would be nice if employers could tell us that we got passed up for the position instead of perpetually leaving us on hold.

This is an unrealistic generalization. The issue has nothing to do with any demographic. I'm Gen X and I find most people to be unreliable, no matter how old they are. Also, most HR people and hiring managers are idiots, and the interview process has become a joke. They ask mostly stupid questions, and they don't know how to just have a normal, natural conversation to assess a candidate.
I'm not looking for a job but I apply at different places and go to interviews because this is fun:
Interviewer: Why do you want to work here?
Me: Because I have to work somewhere. Why are you hiring?
Interviewer: Tell me about a time when you had a communication problem with a coworker.
Me: That's a very specific scenario and I don't have an example of it. Tell me about a time when you chose to refuse a raise for an employee.
Interviewer: Ok we just need three references.
Me: Sure, and I'll need three references from your former employees who can tell me what it's like to work here.
Interviewer: Can you explain the gap in your resume?
Me: Can you explain the gap in your staff? How is the gap in my resume any of your business? For what reason could you possibly be concerned about why I took some time off?
Interviewer: Do you have any more questions for us?
Me: Yes. How many perfectly acceptable applicants have you already had, and if there has been more than one who would be a good fit, why are you still interviewing? Also, are you actually hiring, or are you just wasting people's time and hoarding applicants so you can have more than you need to choose from the next time you are hiring?

They knew the difference between men and women, learned self discipline, had a work ethic, paid their own bills, dealt with their own emotional issues, and generally became successful. The sad part is that they weren’t able to pass those ideals on to the following generations who became unappreciative, demanding, spoiled, government dependent, less motivated to succeed, less demanding of themselves, and now expect life to be easy and free. At one point, my buddy says to the trainer or interviewer: 'So do I have a job here putting bags in boxes, or are you going to train me to drive the forklift, and can I start working and making money? Because if it's another day or two of this stuff, I'm going out the door.'
Trainer: "are you serious?"
Buddy: 'Yes. How many psychology tests and intelligence tests is it going to take for me to start having paid days here? I drove here, I have a driver's license. I don't have a criminal record. I finished high school. Why am I doing all these tests? I'm gone to another place if it's just more days of this, if you don't know yet if you'll even try me out on a forklift or not.'
I forget if he worked there, but he worked consistently for years and has a good trade now.
They're the product of starring at phones watching some jackass "influencer" for hours a day. Gen Z are The Influenced.
Going on an interview can be nerve wracking! The best way to look at going into an interview is to realize you are also interviewing the company/business/potential boss!!!! Be proactive in an interview by asking pertinent questions! You have to find out if the relationship will work for you the employee!!!!
The worst the employer can say is 'no', or 'you're fired'. People have to know it's not the end of the world.
Too many kids aren't allowed to fail anything, ever, in the U.S...and fear it instead of knowing they can shrug it off and keeping moving forward.
Scientists, inventors, business people...fail all the time. Kids should be schooled better in resilience.
Gen Z has to be the most lost generation to date.
They should have shown that one girl that cried because she couldn't land a 6 figure job right out of college.
Kind of tells you where parenting is today.
So, gen z must still be living off mom & dad! If so then they will never get them out of the house! 🤷
Hello from Idaho Falls! She's talking about Local News 8 😂
To be fair how many of those jobs don't pay enough to take care of your bills? The problem is cost of living has gone way up but pay hasn't so why get a job that can'tpay enough for you eat and have a place to live and the way you have to get to and from work.
I think the "Z" in Gen Z stands for ZERO. I think if I had a franchise for a burger or chicken restaurant, I would avoid hiring anyone under 25. No freaks, no snowflakes, no tats, and no nose rings. 😅
Kat Timpf's legs are the best part of this show.
Started sliding down hill in the 60’s plateaued a bit in the 80’s then really started diving in the 90’s and haven’t stopped since. Every time we think we’ve hit rock bottom the bottom falls out and we go down further.
This has been going on for 30 years now. Used to see this happen a Home Depot quite often.
I’ve had jobs tell me that I have been accepted as an employee and then 2 days later say (when I call because I haven’t heard from them), “I’m sorry I was unaware that another hiring manager filled this position. (AFTER I PUT MY 2 WEEKS NOTICE IN)
I’ve had another job tell me that the next I come into work my hours has been reduced to (2/3) of what it used to be, because they wanted to attract other employees and thought that an 8 hour day (instead of 12 hour day) would help!
I’m not Gen Z but when the corporations dunk on citizens then it’s OK???????????
Eff em
Dang! Not first, but close.
I told my nephew when he started his first full time job that the bar was set really low these days. If you can be where you’re supposed to be, when you’re supposed to be, doing what you’re supposed to be, and be pleasant to your co-workers, you’ll be employee of the month.
Ghosting job interviews? That's just lazy, Gen Z.
Ok boomer , not everyone one is the same , I went to my job interview and I have been working almost two years Now in that job
You ARE generation z !
Here I am trying to find a job and the people hired don't even show up 😞
It would be wonderful if Kat eliminates the word 'like' in each sentence.
Actually iv seen some people interview in pajamas and flip flops. They would end up getting the job. They were ultimately bad at the job but still work there... kinda since they call out 75% of the time
It's been a long time since I've seen one group so thirsty and addicted to another as pitiful Dems are of Reps and our chats, maybe a stalker ex comes to mind but that's about it 🤣🤣🤣🥤🥤🥤
We are the Party of Losers.

ikr
Of course they do this! They still live with their parents !
Coming from people who get paid to talk. People are sick of working to only to have to borrow money at the end of the week. I remember when people worked full-time to raise a family buy a house sports car vacation homes jewelry to save money while investing. Now you work 40 hours just to eat and pay rent. This has become slave labor wages.
That’s ok mommy & daddy will pay for everything!!!!
The tax payer is paying for mommy and daddy these days anyways!!
Jealous?
Another problem, this is my case, one who have worked in many careers, where I paid into my own pensions for retirement, only to be released before full or half pensions could go into effect and was forced to signed up for Medicare, after turning 65, yet I did not have 40 quarters in to get Social Security, I was 4 quarters short, now I have to pay now for both Medicare A & B at a pretty penny. My dilemma I was severely injured in the line of duty as a law enforcement officer and put on a 74% disability by the city I worked for. I was lucky, since my state took over medial disdabilty and after their full review of my injuries was placed on an 82% medical disability. I tried to file for Social Security disability and Medicaid, yet was denied, because I was getting too much money on my disability. I have made numerous attempts to get someone to hired me, to get my last 4 quarters in, just to be rejected by employers, too old, over experienced for the position, not a right mix for our company or your disability will keep you for completing task required.
hello there
A lot of this has to do with the labor shortage. If you have a background in a really marketable field, the employers are contacting you constantly. If you’re on Linked In or Indeed it’s crazy. A lot of people contact you with jobs you’re not sure about and you decide not. You may accept the job but regret it and decide you don’t want it.
This is happening continuously at my place of employment. ALL OF THE TIME!
Technically, that’s what you call that garden in the back of that hotel David Bowie’s labyrinth😂
“Can’t for Black History month to get over!” 😂
Gen Z also finds it " triggering" to publicly order from a restaurant menu. 🤡💀
