In this video I talk about how bright the 2020 and newer years LED lights are for Subaru Outback and probably other Outback models as well. People would always flash their brights to my folks thinking my folks had their brights on. This has happened to myself as well when I'm driving at night and another car has the new LED lights there so bright it blinds me. Unfortunately right now they can't be turned down they are just very bright. It's wonderful for driving, but for oncoming traffic it blinds them. I hope these videos help:)

Absolutely ridiculous how bright they are. Great Video...Thank you!
Thank you for all the great job that you are doing , I am with you since years on your channel 😀
Thank you so much for the support and watching:) Have the best week:)
You can adjust them. However you will still be flashed when driving uneven roads or going uphill/downhill, loaded cargo, etc. The lights are just too bright especially since they’re non adaptive.
They are very bright and they are also aimed much too high. The dealer should have adjusted them during the pre delivery inspection.
There is an adjustment. Let me know if you found them. You need a long #2 Phillips. The Forester is also high & both models can be adjusted.
Was about to say the same thing

Watching this after getting home and I got flashed by cars at least 6 times and it wasn’t a far drive. It was getting stressful 🤦🏻♂️ I wish people knew it isn’t intentional. Glad it wasn’t just me
Sometimes I flash them back to let them it’s not my high beams
I just got a 24 crosstrek and when I took some friends home we noticed the lights are too much.
I hope they eventually come up with a patch so you can dim them to a reasonable level.
Jeeez they are nice for rural roads! I’m used to just looking at white line when cars pass on the other side.
Of course, you can adjust them! Many videos on you tube that show you how.
This. I'm tired of having my retinas seared by people thinking my high beams are on.
I should have exercised more patience. I lost two Philips screw heads down the engine bay. Will I regret it? Will it rattle crazy or lodge itself into some critical component and cause a catastrophic failure?
I want this car for the headlights alone 🤩
Why?do you can piss off everyone your driving towards and cause a road rage altercation?
@@tracktorred7570 No, some people have a hard time seeing at night and these really help, especially when going around a turn how they steer. I've never had anyone flash their lights at me.
Deal with this too. I usually leave my brights on then flick them off to show others I changed something. Get a lot less angry flashes that way.
The car in front of me flashed his high beams at a Subaru coming and the Subaru flashed his backed, blinding me and the guy in front. I got annoyed and showed the Subaru driver what $1k+ in off road lights look like 😂😂😂
I just bought two 24 Crosstreks and although bright, they don't reach out as far as yours in the video. You can actually see where they stop in the road, maybe 100-125 feet.
all it has is driving light, that beam and high beam. I also get flashed by incoming vehicles despite having my lights on the lowest.
Adjust the levels down folks.
Iti is adjustable.
Have the dealer do it if you can’t figure it out.
I’m dealing with this on my 2024 legacy. Had I known this issue I would have never purchased the car. I get flashed all the time and it stresses me out. I can’t even enjoy driving my new car. Worst car I’ve ever owned and I’ve driven plenty of POS vehicles back in the day. Wish I kept my 2010 legacy. I purchased a dash cam just because the road rage incidents have been picking up because of my bright lights. Dealership told me they can’t adjust them. I’ve been filing complaints with Subaru and department of transportation because out of fear for my safety and safety of others. I don’t blame people flashing me at all, way too bright.
you chould not fuck around with automatic LED headlights. They need to be precisely adjusted because of the high intensity of the light. go to subaru and let them do their thing, probably with some fancy adjustment tool and a perfectly level floor. Especialy crucial if they headlights has partial high beam and such.
It's ridiculous that if you flash people back to show your lights weren't on bright, some of the idiots in Washougal, WA are dumb and leave their lights on bright.
Subaru should issue a recall on this. For one flashing bright lights repeatedly can trigger epileptic seizures. It's also dangerous to oncoming traffic.
I have an 2021 Outback XL. Third and last Subaru I will buy. Their system takes our eyes off the road too many times. Heated seats, touch the screen- go to another screen with the control in a different area for starters.

Yeah, I hate it when people flash me. I hate driving at night now because people will blind me with their lights by lashing me. I can't control them! I feel like flashing them sometimes to show them I have my brights off. I am very upset I can't adjust them
Happened to me tonight 15 times in 18 miles …. I had to turn my headlights from automatic so I could return the flash.
We encountered road rage a couple days ago. Guy yelled us to shut our bright lights off. Yelled at him they aren’t on. He also about took us out coming into our lane.
Then ADJUST THEM DOWN
@@tracktorred7570 didn’t know we could till we watched a different video. This guy is wrong as they can be adjusted.
80%+ of 2022 cars, SUVs, Trucks, etc.,. now come ‘standard’ with LED headlights. No longer just the stuff for high end Porsche, BMW, etc.,….even the low end Toyota Corolla
Yes please adjust them down
This guy is giving BAD advice. Bring to the dealer and demand they adjust them acording to the law.
I can't see anything with my lights
No they’re perfect I love my wilderness edition outback I use the outback for over landing and it comes in handy
If their so perfect go out on a clear dark night after working all day “if you even work”start the vehicle with your lights set how you would drive, put a lawn chair or a 5 gallon pail 20 yards in front of it and just stare into those fu*king lights and see what everyone else sees and then decide how perfect they are
I must be getting used to people's LED lights. I will not flash a car that is giving off a clean white light. Cars with yellow halogen bulbs I will.
Yea they seem a bit to high/ going to far.
Thank you for watching, have a great weekend:)

The Brighter, the better! Look if ppl are flashing you, it's because they don't understand the concept of a hill! I currently drive a 8th gen civic si with retrofitted HID projectors w/D2S bulbs, and LED fogs. They are still not as bright as the the guy in the ridiculously raised Dodge Ram pickup, with illegal HIDs headlights tailgating you in the right right lane going 10 miles over the speed limit. But I digress. The point is, I drive a tic-tac compared to EVERYONE else how's driving a SUV or pickup, and I *man-up* and don't flash anyone.
I hope to pick up a new Outback Wilderness one day, and mount as many illegally bright lights on it as possible. 😜
Anyways, thanks for the video 👍
Hate these lights!
They suck. They freeze up in the snow because led lights don’t put off any heat. Stupid idea
So scrape it off
@@NoName-gv6nm shouldn’t have to do that repeatedly with a 2020 Subaru. I know I’m not in the Subaru game anymore. Enjoy yours.
I love the bright lights. Sick of the candles for headlights.
