  • This Crochet Zig-Zag Rectangular Shawl is a 'for me' project. Sure, you can gift it out but the work-personal ship, the careful detail of colours and using Caron X Pantone yarn is a combination of projects worthy of self celebration.
The Zig-Zags are sharp, the color play is devine. The look and feel of the strong stitch definition of what Caron X Pantone can do give this wrap an luxurious look and feel.

I crochet with hook 8. It is much smoother to wear. I chain 100. Nice size of shawl. Thank you for the pattern. Greetz from the Netherlands

I just love this design. Will be using Premier Sweet Rolls for the lovely color changes. I will make one for myself. Maybe another two to keep my gift stock intack. Thanks again for a great tutorial that I can really understand.

You could Punctuate every tip of every zig and zag with a stitch that drops down behind the post below it I don't know what it's called but it seems to be double layered upon itself and if you ask me if it was a front post er back post, I would have to die, because if my life depended on it, I couldn't name that stitch I saw. I'm sure you experience texture crocheters know what I'm talking about because I have seen cables or fake cables done in this way when you come to this certain stitch you do that same front or back post thing all the way down and it looks like you've done some kind of fancy mini cable.

Question can you just keep chaining to make it into an Afghan? I am just curious

If you mean by making it wider then yes I don't see why not I've used this to stitch to make a blanket.

For sure... Use what you feel most comfortable with. Like anything in life, it's nice to have variety and not always be the cheapest materials for use in our tutorials. We try to have balance. We side on the economic side the most with a hint of higher end yarns.

So much money, whose gonna match the colors up to Simply Soft?
