- In the 1995 WSBK season, Carl Fogarty rewarded his loyal British fans by storming to his second successful Championship on the big Ducati 916. But the season also saw some stunning performances from his rivals and at the final race of the season at Phillip Island, Anthony "The Go Show" Gobert, who sadly passed away recently at the age of just 48, showed the home fans his immense riding talent to take a memorable win.

I was a spectator at that event and saw him in the pits after the race, he was so bloody happy. What a talent
The most talented rider I’ve ever seen! Miss you Gobert RIP 🙏🏽
RIP go show you were a pleasure to watch on two wheels.
Seen him about 15 years ago at the island. In a shity old ute with bike in the back. Still amazing on a bike and such a shame.

Shame, a real wasted talent.
Not wasted talent. He had demons and burnt so fucking bright he was a diamond.
@@CRFLAus I spoke to him in 1996 at Brands Hatch, he made time to talk to us as fans where many others weren’t interested, he came across as a genuine, relaxed bloke who loved riding. Good days.
@@petebanham4916 That's good to hear. Troy Bayliss is like that too. He'll go out of his way to talk to fans.
