Turns out I missed extra Loop dialogue if you ask them about the ghosts again! I've transcribed it below:
[Enter dialogue] “I’ve been seeing myself in the House.”
L: “...”
L: “I shouldn’t have said that, earlier.”
S: (Huh…?) “What?”
L: “That the ghost… Or remnant of you, or whatever…”
L: “That it probably gave them a disgusting smile.”
S: (Oh.)
S: “It’s fine.”
S: (It’s probably true, anyway.)
L: “...”
L: “You really love them all, don’t you? Even now?”
L: “Enough for a reflection of you to react like this.”
S: (Enough to make you want to cry.)
L: “...”

there's more dialogue if you try talking to loop about it again right after. they apologize for calling siffrin's smile disgusting

The fact that in act 5 siffrin sees a vision of his party makes me wonder if those were actually real too and when they talked to siffrin they saw siffrin disappear from the room just like siffrin saw them disappear
