We lost our Nala girl two years ago and I was devastated. She was here before our kids were. We felt so empty for months. We still talk about her all the time and the kids visit her grave and leave treats and flowers for her. They are family! Praying for comfort during this time ❤

I'm so sorry to hear about your pup. It's so heartbreaking to lose a fur baby. I purchased a deep shadowbox frame when we said goodbye to our dog of 14 years and put in two of his favorite toys with a great picture in the middle. It makes me smile every time I walk by it now that a few years have passed. Sending you all the love girl.

I use two king size pillow shams in front of our sleeping pillows. Then I use two standard size pillow shams (different color and texture) in front of the king ones. THEN three decorative pillows in front of those. I dress the bed with sheets, then a down comforter, then a king quilt that reverses to two different textures. THEN a king size quilted bedspread (it’s longer on the sides), rolling back the under quilt to the top quilt, creating a thick textured fold that my pillows sit behind and on. I have a Target white/cream light quilt folded at the end, then I “toss” a cream thick, cozy throw across the bed.
It takes 10 minutes to fix the bed at night and 20 minutes to make it every morning 😂😂😂😂
But I love it.
It’s all white, cream and light taupe.
Now that you have a child who might end up in your bed, you might want to get a waterproof mattress cover. They make them with comfy covers so you don’t have the sense that you are sleeping on rubbery plastic 🌸🌿

Even without kids, you should always have a zippered mattress cover on your bed. It protects your mattress with wear and tear, sweat etc.😊
I’ve been told that some manufacturers will only honour a mattress warranty if you have a mattress cover on the mattress.

I wish I could post a photo of my bed. It’s similar to yours actually. I feel like I have the same white Casaluna bedding in a duvet cover and possibly same blanket at the end of my bed. I have a king and ended up getting 3 of the casaluna huge throw pillows. They fit perfectly and then I have a lumbar pillow in front as well. You may have figured out the pillow situation by now lol. ❤

Definitely searching out HG for Casaluna I love their Sateen sheets so much better to me than some of the other super saturated online bedding companies that so many YT are ambassadors for without actually calling them out😂swear by! Casaluna so much better in my opinion! Looks great! Sorry for the loss of your little dog. Believe me my little dogs been gone a year and a month. I’m crying now thinking about it. There’s such a part of your life you’re just lost when they’re not there. I adopted a precious little puppy in January And Daisy is my heart for sure, but I’ll never get over losing Abby. So don’t feel bad about breaking down just like I said it’s been a year and I still do.

So, I found a great laundry mat where they have the large washers and dryers and dropped them off and picked them up for a reasonable price. I just love the poster size frames and your precious photos lining your hallway. Another tip on drying some things is adding towels to the dryer to help it dry quicker. The next time you dry the comforter, start the dryer 2-3 minutes early and use dryer balls with the linen. It helped me to dry my king-sized linen, and separate comforter. Sorry to hear about your dog. 🐕 ❤

I don’t like decorator pillows on a bed unless it’s a 24”x24” size for supporting the back when watching tv in bed. Decorator pillows just end up on the floor at night and I don’t like that lol 😂
I sure hope you are getting a new washer first. I just had to replace our 2 year washer that came with our new home. It was ripping apart. We ended up getting a larger washer without an agitator.
We are renting right now but we will definitely be getting a washer without an agitator for our new house!

Hi Katie,why don't you get a second sheet set instead of waiting for everything to dry , and just a thought, isn't it summer there at the moment(I'm in Australia). It probably would have been faster to dry everything outside in the Florida heat.
We don’t have a great place to put anything in our current home, but you’re correct!
A down (comforter) is to be dried around 3 hours 😮

Next time use painters tape and mark the painters tape with a sharpie and level the tape. That way you know it will be straight and separated evenly
thats what we typically do but we were out of tape!
I have noticed my dryer balls everything up and thinks its dry because the outside is and it turns off early due to the sensor. I have to move it around and put it on the timed dry cycle so the sensor doesn't turn it off. If you have a dryer that is energy efficient (which most are these days) this may be why it isn't drying. Some of them you can turn the sensor off but mine you can't.
I was taking it out and unfolding it 2 times a cycle 🫠 I think my dryer is just too small for the comforter sadly

Also, I understand your feelings about losing your fur baby. We lost 2 senior puppies last year and I still miss them so much. Temu has quite a few decor, etc items to honor them including a photo frame that you can put their picture and collar in.
