  • In this video I finally get all the little details taken care of and can get my 1995 Crownline boat back on the water. I fill the outdrive with gear lube, install the new gaskets and seals for the outdrive, and install it on the boat. I also install a new lower shift cable and get it adjusted so that the boat shifts properly. New trim limit switch and sender allow the outdrive to function up and down properly and then finally I get to take it out for some fun runs on the lake. Just in time for spring.

    Hi,
    Can you help me?
    I am Brazilian
I'm in love with American Chevy V8 engines
I recently bought a 1992 350 MAG outdrive Alpha One Gen II speedboat...
My disappointment is not being able to hear the noise of the V8. For me it's like a song
On my boat the exhaust comes out inside the Outdrive and makes no noise
I saw that your speedboat has a nice noise
Has it come with the exhaust out of the water? Or did you make this change?
Could you tell me if it's possible to change the exhaust so it doesn't come out in the water?
Could this modification be done without causing damage to the outdrive?
Sorry but my english is poor
    Thank you very much

Yes you have a good eye! My boat has what most people call "through hull exhaust". The kits can be purchased and installed on pretty much any V8 boat. My kit is a Corsa brand kit. There is an electrical switch that allows exhaust to come out of ports under the ski deck but since it's above the water, it's louder than pushing the exhaust under water and out the outdrive. I purchased my boat with this kit installed but they are pretty easy to install as long as you seal everything up. Hope this helps you out and let me know if you have any questions! 🍻

@@chevy58gmc57 no problem. Try corsamarine.com and maybe just drop them an email with your boat year, model, engine and one of their application people can set you up with the correct part number and kit.

It was April in south Dakota. It was pretty cold and carbureted. Also I didn't use the choke at all to start it. 👍

I bought a new block, Pistons, rods and assembled it. The boat is running today but this footage is from a while ago. Should have another video in the next few days.
