Welcome to the 605BOLT UA-cam Channel! This channel is about all things Automotive and Marine how-to. I have a 2001 Ford Lightning that I have owned since 2015. I spend lots of time trying to disguise the fact that it is an aging pickup. If you like the content, please comment, subscribe, like, or even dislike. The feedback helps guide future content topics. How to Replace Worn John Deere Push Mower Wheels (Various Models)
In this video, I replace the worn drive wheels on my John Deere 14SB lawn mower. This procedure is the same for many John Deere lawn mowers of similar vintage including but not limited to 12SB, 14SB, 14SE, 14PB, JE75, and JX75. Basically any mower with these yellow wheels. This is a very easy thing to do and any DIY with basic hand tools will be able to save themselves a couple bucks on the install.

In this video, I fix a 2020 Ford Escape with broken spot welds in the door. As of filming of this video, there is a known common issue with 2020 and 2021 Ford Escapes where the bracket that holds the check arm device in the door is not properly welded to the inside of the door. Specifically, there is a spot weld that misses slightly from the obviously intended weld location and this seems to be...

How to Disable the Seat Belt Alarm (Pontiac Vibe/Toyota Matrix)
Just started this project on my 2015. I’m to the point of cutting the harness wires. I’m I the only one nervous to cut these lol. Wish me luck
Good luck!!!!
Just took my wife's '22 escape in today for same issue got the letter from ford as well they took some measurements and ordered the parts they needed ill let y'all know the end result currently not having any issues with the door at all god willing 🙏
Very interesting. I wonder what their measurement criteria is. I gotta know how it turns out! Please comment back if possible. Good luck!!!
Excellent video. And thanks for including the bulb number. Not every video does that.
Happy to help!!!
Lol the old cover on the new wheel
Classy.
I have the same make and model and just received my letter from FORD in the mail today. I’m grateful, but my welds haven’t been functioning properly for well over a year now, where was this letter then!
For many people the door broke completely and caused the window to not function as well. At that point if you have four cars sure you could park it but most people need their cars and can't afford to just not use it. I agree that it seems way late.
FYI I’ve switched to fords recommendation of 5w/20 vs 5w/30 and seems to work great in my 98 step side (sat in a barn for 23 years I found it 2 years ago - like it came off showroom floor although was not stored properly I had to do a bunch of work to get it ready but she runs fine even great So why does Ford recomend switching from 5w30 to 5w20? I haven’t figured out why but I’m no mechanic behind a UA-cam following DIY-er to save money LOL I prefer using 30 vs 20 as my other vehicles use that too - just curious if u agree with using the 20 or why 30 better? I’d rather hear from someone who knows vs dealer just telling me because lol
I have heard that the switch from 30 to 20 in Triton engines (not this one) has to do with it being thinner and thus there is less wasted energy to move the previously thicker oil and therefore the engine gets very slightly better mileage. Whether there is any truth to that I cannot say. For me, on a stock vehicle, I would go with whatever Ford recommends. In all reality, the difference between 20 and 30 weight is probably very small and you can do probably either if you change it regularly. Me? I would probably tend to go thicker as the miles go higher assuming the clearances in the engine enlarge over that time. Just my two cents. Great question.
Just got my letter for my '22 Titanium. I would get it fixed before it tears away so you don't need need a new door. They would have to paint that, and who knows how well that will come out? Thanks for the video.
I agree. That's what I did.
They sent the letter about the door welds for my 2022 yesterday. It says regardless of miles through 2027. I'm worried they will mess it up worse if i take it in for a kit or door. Like leaving metal exposed that should be painted etc.
Right. I'm worried about paint match! Don't tell me a white door from 2024 will have the same flake, lay, and fade as the original bodywork. To me, I prefer this fix. If you get any further updates, please share your experience here for others. Thank you for watching/commenting!!
Thanks
👍👍
You Put It Together Backwards From How You Took It Apart!!! The Metal Ring Was On The Inside And The Lamp Came Out From The Outside But You Installed It From The Inside!!! Won't Let You Work On Anything I Own!!!

@@605BOLT You're Right Because I'm A Competent ASE Master Mechanic And Don't Need A Weekend Warrior That Makes Mistakes!!!! You Put The Light Together Wrong!!!
@@rockerpat1085 respectfully, I have no idea what you're talking about and it all works great. I don't know what type of shit you're talking about today but you're barking up the wrong tree here. I don't need your approval in case you're thinking that's the case.
I dealt with self adjusting pressure plate for the 1st time this past weekend.... After watching a few videos and with limited tools, i eventually used only the park bench lol... Yes park bench in my yard that had thick wooden seat.... Placed the pressure plate on top with 3 x same size small sockets evenly placed under the outer edge of the cover of the plate.... Centered it in the gap between the seats, long thickish bolt from underneath pressing against the bottom of the seat, old bearing , washer on top with nut and turned the nut with my wrench..... Once i found the sweet spot moved the pin anticlockwise, held it in the reset position opposite the marked colored dots on the cover while releasing pressure... Job done 😊 ...... No need for the flywheel and clutch plate to be present
Nice idea haha. No spare park benches in my yard but whatever works!
Thank you for posting this! Ford actually just sent out a "no-charge" Customer Service Program to fix this issue. So, that must mean they have enough of these welds coming apart that they need to do something about it. When I got the letter yesterday, I immediately inspected my own doors, but wasn't sure which part to look at. Now that I have seen your video, I know what to look for. This is probably a more common problem on higher use cars, like rentals cars for fleet vehicles. But, I can see that if someone were to push the door too far open, it might also stress those inadequate welds.
It's so annoying because we already had to fix it prior to the recent letters being sent. What were we supposed to do? Couldn't just leave the car sit. I'm glad you found the video useful. I'm sure lots of people will be browsing like you. Hopefully it never breaks because getting a new door to match paint wise will be a chore in itself.
Quick and informative! I’m a younger guy trying to fix up a 2002 alumaweld intruder on my own and this video helped me a lot.
Nice. Thats the idea any way! Thanks for watching/commenting!
does the fuel pump get powered as well?
This unit had a mechanical fuel pump.
Glad I found this video. My Lund had a 4.3 that has cracks and got water. I pulled it and now have a rebuilt 5.7 going to go in. I'm definitely going to do this to verify everything before dropping it in. Thanks!
For sure! Better to check things out before you do all the install work. Plus its kind of fun to listen to.
@@605BOLT Of all of the things required, like cleaning out the bilge, installing outdrive, bellows, etc., hearing it run before install will be good motivation. Almost as good as eventually hearing it run in the lake! Crazy, I'm doing this for fun along with a PWC, Snowmobile, motorcycle, and square body Chev that are all in line to be worked on!
Boy that sounds familiar. One other thing I would recommend (you were probably going to do this anyway) is an oil pressure gauge just to make sure everything is good oiling wise; since obviously you won't have the dash gauge to reference. Plenty of projects it sounds like!

Why did you remove the trim on the window?
Because the main cover for the back door is sitting underneath that trim piece.
It’s a long shot that you’ll respond quick enough as I’m working on this right now. Did you just push the coolant tubing down? Mines right in the way of being able to pull the water pump pulley off.
I don't remember sorry. Been about 5 years since I did this fix I bet. Sorry I can't remember that.

I can't yet because I haven't taken it apart. Don't know that I ever will to be honest. It still spins freely unlike my other one but I took it off before I killed it completely. Someone may be able to use it as parts.
Hello, thank you very much for the info about the coupling, doweling it to the table is unconventional but so good and simple, great. I'm currently working on a T5, greetings from Germany
I'm glad you found it useful. Thanks for watching!
Would a work on my 2008 f150 5.4
Neither of these blowers will work on a 5.4 3v. They do make a blower kit for a 3V though. You would need a roush setup for those I believe.
Did you have to make sure the engine was in TDC? I had to redo valves, pulled heads, then I cleaned off my pistons and now I put heads back on but I need to find TDC from everything I’m reading.
Yes always a good place to start. But with no heads, it's just up on cylinder one. No heads on to make it be power stroke or intake stroke.

One of these shift shaft o rings was pinched from previous owner. Got that straightened out and she has been problem free ever since.
Nice video, I have a Question How are those Car Ramps Holding
How do they keep the truck from rolling off? They have a little dip in them so when you get on them the vehicle doesn't really want to roll off. Plus you put the parking brake on. If you're asking how they hold the weight of the ranger on them? They have a webbed center and are made of really tough plastic. They can hold 1 ton trucks no problem.

Yeah it’s really easy. lol! Try doing this without lowering the sub frame.
We didn't lower the subframe. 🤔
I guess you’re doing this and I must’ve missed where you found. The water was coming from.
The boat had 1000 hours on it first of all and I thought it was a head gasket. Turned out to not be that from what I could tell. Maybe I just couldn't see an obvious spot. Or it was a micro crack in my exhaust manifolds (see that video), or it was water leaking through my tarp, onto my sundeck, down through the drain hole in my sundeck, onto the spark arrestor, down into the carb, and into the cylinders. Now I have a fresh engine (in case it was the head gasket), new manifolds (in case it was the manifolds leaking), and a new tarp (in case the tarp was leaking). And I have no engine water problems so thats great! haha. At this time I was just trying to know what I was working with.
Alpha 1 gen one has nuts holding the trim cylinders gen 2 has clips

Good video thanks one question my son remived conrods after marking caps . Then he remived pistons from conrod without marking which side off conrod faces to the front pulley can you please assist me . I see you say fird mark at the back is it the side facing the flywheel
Ok so I reviewed the footage closely. I never removed my pistons from my rods so I never really paid attention to this. No need to in my case. But if you use my setup as a reference, you can see at 7:20 when I pick up the assembly how the M for Mahle is facing up. When I twist the assembly around, you can see the valve reliefs which should be an assembly reference for you. The valve reliefs face the non PCV side of the motor or the rear of the car as it sits in an SVT Focus. From there, you can figure that the Mahle M faces to the rear main seal and the Ford logo faces forward toward the harmonic balancer. Hope this helps you out and thanks for watching!
