  • We gotta stop being surprised when the same guys in the NBA who seem to dominate in the regular season, disappoint or go crazy come playoff time. It's the same culprits every time, but WHY? Why does Joel Embiid fall apart and why does Jimmy Butler turn into Michael Jordan? There's more to it than just them being choke artists or playoff performers. Watch my video and let me explain.

Regular Season and Playoffs are two different games
      - more rest
      - playing the same team
      - higher stakes
      - less fouls
      - coaching
      - weaknesses get exploited
      - increased MPG (stamina needed)
      - psychological
      - focus
      - media narratives

Awesome video, what are your thoughts on Trae Young in this sense?

He has the it factor but being 5'11" means some elite teams can shut him down

I'm not sure how to feel with him. So far in his short playoff career he had the good run to ECF then was real bad last year. He was really inefficient in both runs tho and ATL's depth was what really got them past Philly that year. Even this year he put up crazy PPG but only cause he was putting up a crazy amount of shots. I feel like on a real contending team, he's a number 2 not a number 1 guy, so I would have to see him in that situation to really judge him tho. Who knows if he'll ever be willing to be the 2nd option tho.

Jimmy has been a fraud these past few games.

Jimmy has had an ankle injury since the Knicks series that he’s playin thru and doesn’t have a lot of help around him. Still carried an 8 seed to the Finals.
