Two titans of the Australian fishing scene ... and when they're right next to each other, one might think Tommy could be Steve's offspring which would explain the fishing skills! 🤣
@@tomslater574 hahaha in my eyes you’re both guns, but maybe you’re just being modest! While you’re here though I might pick your brain, I have the 2020 732LFS Z and it’s definitely my favourite rod, do you reckon it’s worth upgrading to the 23?
@@ATGNIFishingoverall the 23 is a nice improvement but the 20 is still pound for pound one of the best rods available. What I would recommend is grabbing a different model, start expanding your lineup to cater better to different lures. Try a regular taper for hardbodies, or the 681 for a close quarters rod etc.
i use the 712LFS mainly with soft plastics and various hardbody lures especially the double clutch, pretty much my all-rounder but it is much better suited for lightly weighted or unweighted plastics. Being land based in Melbourne pinkies are the target species most of the time as they are everywhere. Would the 732LFS be better suited for targeting them? I normally use heavier jig heads to hop the plastic off the bottom
732LFS definitely suits a heavier plastic than the 712LFS. The 732LFS excels from 1/12-1/6oz but it will handle a bit more with the right casting technique.
@@pebbleschan6085 its a great rod. i had alot of trouble trying to find one but got lucky from an ebay seller and bought the last one they had in stock
Pity all these videos seem to cater for boat users I'm interested in an EX series rod; any recommendations for a. land based user that throws cranks and soft plastics?
Hi, Depending on the application my recommendation might differ slightly. But if you’re looking for 1 rod to do them all landbased I would recommend the 712LFS in the EX range.
Great video thanks for the information
I love the infeet rods I have, I must check the new range. Thanks for the in-depth review.

I'd be interested to know what drag settings you use in the different situations and how you go about deciding
Usually just enough to see the hook! The tighter the line t he easier it is to break when it touches something - especially the 2 and 3 lb.
When are the 23 infeet rods set to release?
In-stores this week! Some stores may have them in-stock already as we started shipping them out late last week.
Great edit on some very nice rods. What rod is your preference for throwing bent minnows
