23 INFEET prototype testing with Tom Slater and Kris Hickson see’s us at beautiful Lake Tyres Victoria. Lake tyres in a well known Black Bream fishery with some trophy Flathead amongst its waterway. We jump onboard with Tom and Kris to get a first look at the new prototype 23 INFEET range with the guys catching some great fish and having some fun along the way!

They sure will be mate. I have used the older models fishing creeks and dams up in the VIC high country. Love my bream fishing but grew up trout fishing so I just use the same outfits some times. 👍🏽

Used infeet for trout since Gen 1… perfect for them. Not always great for trolling big or heavy lures like tassie devils.

Hi you guys mention red rods for single hook lures like plastics and the blue coloured rod for treble lures, so do I buy a blue infeet for vibes?

For metal blades I like the faster taper 732ULFS (Red) models to impart short sharp hops, for a plastic body vibe (or mussel vibe) I prefer a 702LRS or 722LRS (Blue)

Hi Tom ,
Great video ! The new Infeet range looks fantastic.
If I’m after a rod to cover a few bases, what would be the best Infeet model for throwing jerk baits at black bream but also be good for fishing plastics and mussels/crabs close to structure ?
Or is that too much to cover for one rod ?

Hey Jack,
We made a rod specifically for that purpose, the 712LFS. It was a later introduction to the 20 INFEET range. You can watch a review of the rod on Byron Tea Hill's UA-cam channel. We did that same model in the new 23 INFEET Z and also the flagship EX range. Both will be perfect for what you want!
