you got the best brand of bands ... GOING ON 12 YEARS WITH MY BANDS WHEN THEY CAME IN A SMALL BAG
That’s great to hear.
Ha ha! Love your plug for a GTS/Encompass! I've had Bodylastics bands for quite some time. Really good quality!
Thank you for sharing. My husband bought us a total fit gym during the pandemic, so I greatly appreciate you sharing this info with us. It gives us so many more workouts to try instead of the same ole routines. My son is an athlete and have all these bands, now I can put them to use as well. Great video!!!!
Good stuff! Just got my Bodylastics bands delivered yesterday, and the Innstar bar today!!
Awesome to hear. Both of mine have been holding up great, but again as a warning, I'd still be careful on the ends of the bar potentially giving. I'm always somewhat careful in the event that ever does occur.
Great video, thanks. I too use the Bodylastic bands, as well as my Total Gym Fit. Also have some loop bands from Clench Fitness that are good, but the Bodylastics are my favorite.
Great to hear, seems to be the consensus.
Thank you Brother!! My bodylastics just arrived today! These are awesome!! Love the all these creative options for the total gym! Bodylastics in my top favorite so far!
Awesome to hear. They are great, even though they're pricey, I don't regret getting them at all.
@@hybridresistanceThanks.. I'm already feeling even more results and it's only have been two days. I saw someone mentioning about B-force bands,.never heard of..possibly might check out in the future.
I've had the bodylastic bands for 3 years with the wall anchor and everything you said is what I experienced. After seeing this video I might buy a Total Gym. This looks like an effective way to use them plus the added benefit of the Total Gym itself.
Awesome to hear all around. I've yet to have anyone tell me they regret buying a Total Gym for what it's worth.
I bought some band like that. They were pricy. I am at a job that I can train with bands on lunch. I am there long hours. These bands make my total gym leg workout feel amazing.
I started out doing total gym workouts then I got on the Bodylastics streaming workouts and have been doing those 5 days/week for probably 7 years. Following the streaming videos is the key to stick with it for me. I have been using free weights recently and enjoy using the bands 2-3 days and free weights 2-3 days.
That's great to know that the Bodylastics workouts are that good that you've been doing them for 7 years. Sounds like a great program you got going.
Thanks so much for this video! I love the bodylastics resistance bands and I have a total gym fit on the way. Great to see the two can work simultaneously. I really like the handles you use for the total gym. Is there a link for those I would love to bye them. Thanks so much for your content and thanks in advance for the handles info. God Bless!
Appreciate that Terence. Blessings to you as well.
Great video!
Thank you.
Appreciate the exercise options and info. I too have a Bodylastics set although a much smaller size set. I've never had a problem with them and I believe if your going to use cable style bands they are among the best if not the best. Over the years I use the loop style almost exclusively and if you ever are in the market to upgrade from the ones sold on Amazon give Quantum or Ironwoody a try. I have a blue and green band from Ironwoody over 10 years old and they still have more tension on them than any of the brands sold on Amazon. I've used 7 different manufacturers bands. The Bob and Brad loop style are also very good but I gave them to my father in law. I've read very good things about Clench bands but I've never used them. As always I greatly appreciate your content and I am enjoying the Total Gym Fit immensely.
Thank you for sharing all of that. I’ve heard a lot of good things about the “ironwoody’s as well. Great to hear the FIT is working for you.
Best Loop bands bar none,....Quantum Bands! They are amazing! Also,...the ROGUE "Shortys" are great loop bands as they are just 12" in length and come in MASSIVE tension options! Great for deadlifts and bench presses while on a standard bench. Best tubes are FitCord (Made in USA) and Bodylastics.
Excellent video on bands still having problems on Total Gym Fit vs GR 8 Flex. Like the foot wear your are wearing
The GF and FIT really are very similar in dimensions. A plus for a TG is that you get the benefit of using their weight bar attachment and I 'd say their metal at least on their squat stand is a little strong in not bending. Also for the shoes, I actually link them down below and did a video on them. They really are great for using them on these sliding bench trainers.
Thankyou for the info great expansive ideas with a piece of equipment fantastic what do you think about deadlifting.
I think deadlifting is great just as long if it's done properly. Great exercise for sure.
Glad I bought mine years ago. Covid markup and sell outs make shopping for fitness stuff rough. Mix these with loop bands and weights for good variety.
Thank you.
Very interesting use of bands. Question: I have the GR8Flex, which has bands included. I can see that the other bands you're using may be more versatile. However, I may try to move the GR8Flex bands from the bottom of the machine and attach them to the handles for resistance. Have you ever tried that?
I haven't tried that, my GF is at my sisters house so whenever I do get it back there are some things I'd like to try. The GF might have more options on different spots to connect the tube style bands based on how that bottom hook is different than a TG. Thanks for the question though.
Great info
You should zip tie on some padding where the bands are touching the metal of your bench. They say in the manual not to put the bands around anything metal or it will damage them. Something like neoprene to protect the bands would be smart so you dont snap any.
I commented on that on some videos following this one, that yes there is a potential for having the metal wear on the bands. I have used the fabric anchors that come with it as well. Personally, though I'm still just taking my chances with the throwing on the metal and watching it.
Great Video, thanks for all the hard work and ideas we can use to incorporate into our workouts.
Is there a way I can load up the pull ups or the pressups(handstand press) using the total gym?
I usually just put the total gym on a platform I have which raises it an additional 8-10 inches. I would still like to add more difficulty to it.
I have loaded my backpack with weights on the pullups and that works , but for the pressups since I'm facing downwards, the weight just slides down and can hurt me.
My total gym model does not have the bar attachment, is there any way I can load up on these two exercises with resistance bands or any other methods?
Thanks for the comments and for watching. What I found that works really well that I featured in a couple videos is actually loading up with some light/moderate loop bands. Although now I might try the tube style ones.
@@hybridresistance Thank You, can you tell me which video it is , so I can watch it
Thank You

@@hybridresistance loved it. I'm now using bands.
Look into this bench Total Flex L, I have that to do chest exercises and more combined with Gr8flex, and resistance bends
That things does look really cool and compact. I'd really just love to feel how the tension feels. Thanks for sharing that, never saw it before.
@@hybridresistance the resistance are good but I also add more resistance bands to it. I wish I can add pictures so you can see it and how an idea.
Do you know where to buy the Ultra Door Anchor attachment 25 connectors ? I looked everywhere, no luck. If you find a place new/used, please let me know. If you already have it, a review would be great!
I'll keep an eye out. I think they are just sold out. But I will review them once they come back in. Thanks for the comment.
Tim I have the Ultra door anchor and hardly use it. Before I put it up on eBay and Craigs list I'll sell it to you. Let me know. Thanks
Hi Alan, yes. How do I reach you?
@@timacosta1653 I guess I could post my email here and you could acknowledge you got it then I could delete the post. We could set a time and date to do that so my exposure is minimal. Got any other ideas?
@@aljay2955 UA-cam won't let you leave your email in here unfortunately, however I just made a quick video for you lol for my contact. Click on my channel, let me know when you get it and I will delete my video : )
Do you call them a sliding bench trainer it's a little hard to make out.
Yes, that's what I call them.
Which Total gym was you using
That’s a FIT
I knew you would like them.
Thanks for the recommendation!
For more resistance, you definitely need loops. Tubes are good for the lighter weight exercises like flys, curls, shoulder work, etc...
Junk,I had one band snap,it hurt like hell
i doubt it not bodylastics they have anti snap paracord inside of them to prevent injuries. highly doubt it
Sorry to hear that. I’ll still be mindful of that potential.
you sure you are using bodylastics brand? just got it today, it's awesome so far! if anything changes I will post in here.
I’ve had my Terrell Owens Bodylastics bands for YEARS. They have NEVER snapped. The anti-snap DGS technology prevents any snapping. It is threaded/rope fibers inside
