Thank you for getting me into the series I was hesitant with all the reviews at first, but man the humor, grim dark elements, and world building what a great series
For me, this trilogy absolutely stuck the landing. I remember when I finished it, I just sat there for the longest time like damn, it's over now. The twist with the Dead King was great, I think most saw it coming, but it was still awesome. Even when Jorg wins the election, man, he just does it his way, with intelligence and violence. Aww man, that Rike scene....
Glad I found your content I love this series something happened and I got stopped at 75% of the book I have a really hard time reading books so I got to listen to this to find out how it ended And also remind me of how great the series was thanks
I enjoyed the Broken Empire series. I always thought of it as a sort of “ grim dark speculative fantasy”. The sensation Jorg would feel reminded of what happens when someone is diagnosed with tetanus. Overall an amazing story.
Your videos on this series definitely helped me understand what I just read. Would love a recommendation on a series that is similar and potentially darker. I really enjoyed this series and I’m looking for more
I would definitely recommend the Obsidian Path series by Michael R Fletcher, the first 2 books are out (Black Stone Heart & She Dreams in Blood) Really anything Fletcher is worth checking out Beyond Redemption is one of my all time favorites 🖤🖤🖤
I think I'll really enjoy this book more on a reread because I was just trying to figure out what the hell was going on the first time. I will always defend Jorg to a degree, fight me!!
I walked into work today telling my coworker hey I have to get this off my chest and I just spilled the beans on Empire of Thorns.. this is a series I want to see on Netflix so bad!!!!!
Awesome review!!

Also I want a series on William and the inheritance of the broken empire…….
I loved this trilogy + already can't wait to re-read it alongside Red Queen's War. I wouldn't say no to another trilogy in this world.
Red queens war is amazing as well 👌

I agree with the pacing problem though. Not my favorite book in the series but the overall story was good
