Replacement arrived!By the way, I did forget to mention that the original lure did have a decent strike however as most anglers will attest you can get a hit ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxCbNOWAGmn6nfbCbJDmasvBq7J38KZNw2 and fish will hang on and release lure. I used the replacement lure yesterday and ran thru a Shimano Waxwing, Kastmaster, Bobber (set to sink). I found the does run deep (I casting on the flats 3.5'). Make sure you adjust your rate of retrieve and rod tip angle (up) to prevent getting snagged on bottom. Used it a couple of times and action was very lifelike (looked like local bait fish for trevally), craftsmanship very good....however eyeball fell out. I asked for replacement and it is on it's way! It was very easy to change out treble to single inline hook.
Having fished multiple s in different sizes and colors, ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxCbNOWAGmn6nfbCbJDmasvBq7J38KZNw2 this is by far my favorite. One thing to be aware of is the sided willow blade. One side is silver and the other is the green/orange shown. This is not bad, just unconventional. In terms of fishing, I have found the lure works just fine without a tail like a craw or shad. That addition is up to you. Also, the hook part where you attach the swivel snap or tie the line is a problem on baits these days, since it's able to slide up and down. However this lure seems to be tight enough that that doesn't happen often, and you can solve it by putting a thin slice of medical tube over the hook before attaching the line. Like others have said, it's really magic on a good windy day.
*It's great caught caught a brown trout on the first cast. **enjoyable.fishing** recommend if it was a little smaller it would be more effective for different species*
Love your vids. I watch yours and Jon b's religiously, his are usually funny but yours are so informative. Instead of just fishing, you explain what you're doing and why, which is wonderful.
I've been doing local pond fishing lately for bass. Ive used the skirted jig, the square bill crankbait, spinnerbaits, and plastic worms and so far Ive landed the most bass with the crank baits. Im gonna go pick up a couple chatterbaits tomorrow because of this video. Thanks man, keep up the good vids.
Btw I would like to talk to you personally, my Kik is TheWaylonBeast and my phone number is 8068849498 Please call or txt me I have some questions and suggestions
+Andrew Flair Outdoors I want to have the Broncos win and thanks for accepting me for the pro staff and I'm trying to get a sponsor and do you have any suggestions of who to send my resume to
Your right it does come down to preference. I also find it depends on what size forage the bass are feeding on. The spinnerbait really shines if you have large bass feeding on large bluegill around docks or wood.
"The flash, it travels, just like light does." Baaahahahaa Sorry that tickled me just a little. Awesome video, first of yours that I have seen, going to subscribe and see more. Good job!
Very helpful. I should have watched this an hour ago, before I bought a white spinnerbait and didn't know to even look for, let alone buy, a chatterbait as well.
Chatterbaits are one of my favorite lures to fish around grass. I've never had confidence in spinnerbaits, and for some reason, I have a lot more spinnerbaits than chatterbaits and I hardly ever fish them. Good video by the way.
Thanks for the info. My local tackle shop doesnt even carry chatterbaits. Could you possibly do a video on water clarity, or how to determine the water clarity. I'm from CT and all the ponds / lakes I fish seem to be pretty much the same color which seems somewhat brown.
Had my best day ever and caught my pb on a white/pearl spinnerbait this spring, used same colour chatterbait and only managed two , and they were the smallest
From nebraska to and fished spinnerbaits since i was young, best time to throw spinnerbaits here is may. Started throwing chatterbaits a few years ago didn't like them much but now i like them for warm days in march in my area, but i still prefer a square bill over them both.
Mr. Flair first thank you the very informative video it really helped 'clear the water' lol secondly, seeing that I've very used a chatter bait in the past and was always a spinner bait diehard...but now I'm open to learning a new bait. thanks again.
another great video I've caught a lot of walleye's and Small mouth bass on the mini chatterbait ment for pan fish believe it or not lol in the Flint river in Flint Michigan keep the great vids coming
My favourite video!!! Great info!! Love these videos I have a question, what color of Swimbait trailer should I use for the black and blue Chatterbait? and if I'm trying to imitate a shad, or perch, should I still color the blades black, instead of keeping it the color it is?
Love your videos watch them Atleast twice on each one. I'm new to the bass fishing and wanna get into tournaments but not sure how to properly rig my boat maybe a video on a boat rigging?
Great info! Pretty new to chatter baits and bait casting all together since I live in mainly a spinning reel environment in coastal Mississippi but just wondering what lb. test it diameter line you use and is it mono, copolymer, braid, or fluoro on your baitcaster?
hey bro i know this is an old video but am new to your channel and i love fishing but i am from P.R🇵🇷and we don't fish that much with artificial bait but is awesome and fun thanks for your videos and tips .mucho respeto💪🏽🔥🎣
Do u recommend chatterbaits for bank fishing? I've used em a few times but haven't caught anything on em but I have caught several on spinner & buzzbaits.
C'mon, he pushes what he gets paid to push. Still a good uploader and worth watching for a tip or 2, but he's only going to push the products that he is sponsored by. ;)
I actually use the ZMan Original chatterbait if I'm in a boat or a pier sticking out in a pond, but I haven't used it when on the bank. I also have a Strike King Rage Blade in black/blue but the main pond I bank fish from is 15ft deep max, but due to weedline about 3ft from bank I'm not sure if a chatterbait would work in that pond due to depth or lack thereof in the majority of it.
Hey flair I'm new to bait casters only been using them for about four months and now I've been using a medium heavy rod for chatterbaits is that good or should I go up to a heavy
I thought this was a well done...very informative video. Thamk you. Question(s): Are you a big user of BRAID...in general? If so...what brand/test/color do you like? Also, do you use BRAID all the way to the lure/bait directly...without a floural or mono leader, for example? Thanks again!
I love braid never broke off a fish with 30 LB braid have caught a 6 LB large mouth to a25 lb catfish! I tie braid straight to lure, I used flouro leader but after I broke off a 7 LB large mouth with the leader I ditched it ( the 12 LB leader broke)
What kind of rod are you using? I like a medium heavy cranking rod for open hook chatterbaits, but I have Nutech jigs (they have a stout weedguard) and I am not sure my crank rod would have the backbone for Nutech's weedguard chatterbaits. Thanks.
+Daniel Dean you can break in the nutech weed guards by bending them around. you might want to use a stiffer rod than a cranking rod but give it a try and see
thank you so much for your videos Andrew!! I just had a quick question: I live in SC and it's in the low 40s and sunny. I am going fishing at an 800-acre lake with a rocky bottom. what lure should I throw for bass? I would really appreciate it!
When you are coloring your chatter bait blades do you do all lighter and darker colored ones or just the darker ones? Like your white and chartreuse, or your black and blue?

Great info! My lake has been low and just came up like 2 feet so the water is murky. Definitely gonna use chatter baits more often!
at 8:25 I see something glorious swimming toward the front of your boat!
Had my best day ever and caught my pb on a white/pearl spinnerbait this spring, used same colour chatterbait and only managed two , and they were the smallest

How do you choose the right weight chatter bait/spinner bait.
What type of line do you use when throwing a spinnerbait and a chatterbait? Would it be the same as a crankbait and a lipless crankbait?

Wonder ? How chatterbait work N saltwater 4 sea trout ,reds, etc any intel on that TY??
So with a chatterbait, do you just real it in like a crank or can you work it slow like a jig?
+Sean Harrison either way, i prefer the cranking method
