  • NEW: Get the Davinci Resolve extension by TimeBolt here: timebolt.notion.site/TimeBolt...
    Remove silence and meaningless video from your timeline in TimeBolt and export into DaVinci Resolve. Multi-track audio still exports to separate tracks in Resolve.
    See how here: www.timebolt.io/jump-cut-expo...
    Follow these steps in order:
    1. Add video to TimeBolt and dead-air is auto detected. Use the timeline editor to cut or keep any part. Speed up preview speed. Learn a few quick keys and you'll never do cut work in an NLE again! How to Edit TimeBolt Timeline
    2. Export XML from TimeBolt. The XML file instructs Resolve what to cut and keep.
    3. Open a New Project In Resolve and add the raw source file. The project clips will have different frame rates so click 'Change'
    4. Right click on 'Click Attributes' and set the FPS to the Frame Rate shown in the XML file name extension saved by TimeBolt.
    5. In Resolve select your source file, go to File, Import Timeline, double click your XML file
    6. Under 'Load XML' Settings:
    - uncheck 'Automatically Import Source Clips into Media Pool'
    - Set Mixed Frame Rate Format to 'Resolve'
    7. Close any error message. It won't matter.
    8. Finally, you must turn on the audio manually. Simply select both audio tracks, right click and select 'Clip Attributes', go to 'Audio' tab, then embed channel one and channel two.
    You now have a fully cut timeline to add additional visual effects and color grading in DaVinci Resolve in minutes not hours.
    TimeBolt also supports Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premiere (Plugin and XML), and render to export clips direct into iMovie and Camtasia.

    Yeah, just that timebolt is not free, so it is not really how to do in davinci resolve as the title claims, or is it?

    I've had timebolt for about two weeks. I loved it, but when I uploaded to Davinci the lip syncing would be way off. For the past two weeks I've had to resort to doing it all in Davinci. I was very frustrated and listening to your videos to try to figure it out. The time it would save me would be awesome. Today after a week of not using Timebolt I tried again. I watched this video again trying to make sure I followed all the directions. Then it suddenly dawned on me (I can be a blockhead at times) I'd been uploading the filtered video to Davinci along with the xml file so of course it wouldn't work correctly! I uploaded the original video and then the xml file and bam! Perfection! I'm commenting just in case I'm not the only one to make this error. If I am the only one to make this error then have a good laugh on me lol! I saw the potential of TimeBolt from the beginning that's why I kept trying to figure out what I was doing wrong. I am now a Happy Camper and thank you for this wonderful tool! For those few that may have a brain fart like I did, import your raw video file not the filtered one! All is well now and I do love this software!

    for some reason as i did everything above you mention, but as i imported the xml to davinci the very 1st cut (the green one) i had only sound but no video, the rest of the cuts where fine. any solution around it?

      Nothing about what you describe sounds correct. Please submit a support ticket with screen share video of your settings used in TimeBolt, what your timeline looks like, and your workflow into DaVinci Resolve. Thats the only way we can help. Thx timebolt.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/

    I have a timeline with a bunch of separate VO clips. They each have a bit of silence at the beginning and end of each clip. Would timebolt help me trim those off?

    • @timebolt-rapid-video
      @timebolt-rapid-video  Рік тому

      Not at this time. TimeBolt is built for one long timeline. But the assembly of many clips into one timeline is also a linear process and would be a great tool to have!

    there is one main problem, after importing xml on project, all the video and audio clip are unlinked, in sync but not linked. and by this, the playhead can only read and highlight/select the clip in video track, not the clips in audio track. im not sure i'm explaning me well.. but this unlinked clips doesent allow me to trim edit, becose when i "trim" ...only the video is trimmed, but the audio is stucked on is place. if i select all the clips in timeline to link them, davinci creates a masterblock made by all the clips. so what i have to do is linl all the vdeo and audioclips one by one. do yu understand qhat i mean? :)

      @@timebolt-rapid-video Hello - I am having the same problem as Paolo. The video you linked did not solve the problem. When importing the XLM file to DaVinci, it unlinks all the audio from the video for every clip. You can't just highlight everything and link it because then that links EVERYTHING. Without the audio being linked, it is very difficult to trim/edit the footage and defeats the purpose of the tool.
      I discovered this tool a today and fell inlove but this problem is stopping me from being able to edit my footage

      @@timebolt-rapid-video Thank you! If this gets fixed, it's an instant buy from me. I dm'ed you on twitter with a photo if needed. Davinci relies on them being linked for the cut page to work properly which is what I use to cut/trim the video. Without being linked it won't work and the only workaround is to manually link at every single cut which is as timeconsuming as just cutting it myself

    I LOVE this software! It has saved me a ton of time! But it could save me more... 😉
    For example, if I want to speed up the tracks to say 4x automagically, and then have that come into Resolve where I can then do some tweaks, WOW that would be incredible...because just using a jump cut is sometimes jarring to my audience.
    I would LOVE if the XML file from TimeBolt brought it in with the cuts and the silent parts already sped up...or even if it was set to a different color on the timeline....since Resolve makes it easy to select everything that's the same color. Is this possible to implement into TimeBolt?

    • @timebolt-rapid-video
      @timebolt-rapid-video  2 роки тому +1

      THAT is a GREAT question. We haven't figured out how to translate speed in XML, but we will def look into color code!

    • @LeeHawkinsPhoto
